    First time I’ve heard of someone switching gearing for a preferred anti-squat feel. So cool!

      The problem is a 13/50 is pretty much the same as a 14/52.

    Refreshing to hear all the stock items that don't need to be replaced. I'd like to hear more about the suspension - how it compares to stock and why its better? Thanks for the summary of the bike mods!

      Stock suspension valving is actually very good on this bike. As we've stated in past videos/articles, increasing the fork spring rate from the stock 4.6 to a stiffer spring really helped balance the bike out, and even our Pro level riders felt they could ride the bike very fast comfortably. Anything from a .48 to .52 fork spring, depending on weight and speed, really helped this bike tremendously. But, the suspension work with TCS added a little bit of initial compliance, particularly in the forks, while increasing bottoming resistance, and we stiffened up the shock quite a bit with valving while maintaining a 5.7 rear spring (but with closed tips, not open tip like it comes stock). Also, we run a A-Kit spring seat in the forks which helps with bottoming, but isn't necessarily a part that is for everyone - we feel it's good for faster riders, but isn't needed and can actaully hurt performance for the average rider

    Would like to see how this compares to a woods set up 250 or 300.

    such a beautiful bike! trying to decide on this or a yz250fx or maybe a yz250x to go next to my old trusty carb'd crf450x in my garage

      me too.. I'm also considering a ktm 2t 250 or 300 xc-w. I'm almost leaning toward that yz250x however just based on the value and fun factor (and weight savings).

      agreed, its hard to decide against the 250x just due to price difference@@mattgohio

    So were you saying that you could swap a WR flywheel instead of the FX flywheel? I hope I understand that right. Thanks

    • @DirtBikeTest
      @DirtBikeTest  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, the WR flywheel bolts right up and is what we ran.

    I don't understand your gearing setup, You added one tooth to the front which is equal to dropping two in the rear, Then added two to the rear? Ok if you say so. lol

    • @DirtBikeTest
      @DirtBikeTest  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      It frees up the rear suspension. This is explained.

      It occupies the middle and lower part of the chassis, I think it is to lower the center of gravity and thus make the motorcycle more stable
