Still feel so proud to be once a part of this amazing fleet. I started as a cabin crew in 1983 with SQ and resigned at the end of 2000. 17 awesome years of flying with truly wonderful memories of places I’ve been and people from all walks of life I met along the way. SQ, you are still very much a great way to fly with inflight services even other airlines talk about…👏👏👍👍💪💪
Singapore Airlines in all 3 classes is amazing. The service offered is exceptional to ALL Classes. From a poor P/T student in economy to Business Class for a holiday to First Class to London - amazing service.
I think what is so impressive is SQ’s sheer level of professionalism. I’ve heard my fair share of complaints from friends who are crew (they are human after all) but while on duty, they maintain a strict standard of service. Really commendable
An awesome economy class experience with Singapore Airlines. The portion of the meals on SQ flights is often big. I just love how the crew took care of you and that has really made this flight an unforgettable one. One thing I dislike, as you've mentioned in the video, was the absence of the side dishes, which I think I really needed for a healthier inflight food as they're usually salad.
Agree. I experienced it the same. Travelled with 3 small kids was made easy with the crew proactive service even from the airport. They arranged everything for my kids without being asked for. Will be boarding SA again next month for my another trip to Europe.
Wonderful video! SQ crew certainly are very well trained and I guess they'd be especially nice since you were friendly to them too. Lots of passengers give cabin crew a hard time, glad this set of SQ crew weren't discouraged by that. Anyway very detailed and well put together review, just subed!👍🏻

I always take Singapore Airlines everytime i visited my Country the Philippines. The services they offer are superb. With high quality meal served, plus flight stewards are so kind. I LOVE SQ❤️
I will be flying with Singapore Airlines next Monday evening from Melbourne to Singapore n onto Cebu. My first flight with Singapore Airlines bc my travel agent wasn't able to secure any tickets to Cebu on Cathay Pacific. I'm very excited about travelling with Singapore Airlines
I must agree that I've never seen service like in Economy from any airline! The seating and the food were also better than average. I've never heard of seconds being offered.
This was, even relative to Singapore Airlines' typically excellent service, downright amazing. I can't say enough nice things about this flight - it was just *the best way to fly*
That was amazing! The break out of the cloud on departure was just fabulous as was the sunset - it must have been awesome first hand! You certainly had very attentive crew - Business Class service levels in economy! I flew SQ on the 777 in business class back from SIN to LHR - it was a night flight departing SIN at 01:00 - I wish I'd waited and gone for a day flight - but hey ho - I did get to try out the lie flat bed and of all SQs fleet, in Business class the bed is best on the 777. I want to go to Singapore again - and will do one day - it's a fabulous place and 2 days there isn't anywhere near enough - especially with jet lag. Keep flying and making great videos!
Quite an excellent report! Yesterday, I booked a return from Sydney Australia to the US on Singapore Premium Economy. Early afternoon flight out of Australia, getting into Singapore late afternoon. Plenty of time for dinner downtown in Chinatown, assuming Singapore travel returns to normal by next winter! We leave Singapore after midnight on the non stop for New York. Unfortunately, we probably won't see anything until somewhere around Japan. Anyway, you answered my question as to whether they still served Ramen noodles as a snack. It isn't listed on their menus. Book the Cook isn't currently available, but I expect by December SQ will finally be back to their old, spectacular service. I flew with them in Business about 2 years ago, and I have to admit, I was a bit disappointed. Qatar service had been much better. But having been in the Premium and their Economy classes in the past, they are truly a spectacular airline. It's truly a pity the western airlines don't even come close. Again, thanks for a great report.
I respect Singapore Airline for the seats being 3 3 3 instead of the 3 4 3 on some 777 aircrafts. I feel like airlines where they do the 3 4 3 seating configuration are prioritizing their profit over the comfort of the passengers.
This is one of the rare daytime flights to Europe from Singapore. Did the trip in 2012 and 2017. Brilliant flights both times. In the hotel by 9.30 and ready to face the next day with no jet lag!
Beautiful footage of the flight. Normally they don’t fly this route over Saudi Arabia,Egypt and Greece. You shot the video with very interesting views of the journey. I agree that Singapore Airlines has a great product. Hope to fly soon to Asia when the borders open in April or May 2022, if we survive this war conflict going on in Europe now.
as you are a PPS member, im guessing thats why you got that "bit extra attention" id like to know if those in Economy received the same attention. I liked the way you filmed your trip and showed us some of the lovely scenery. was a bit disapointed they didnt fly over the pyramids... now that would have been an added bonus. enjoyed this so much.. im going to subscribe your channel :)
This looks great. I’m travelling in October just me and my 7 year old and booked row 41j so she wouldn’t disturb anyone if she wanted to stand up but now looking at your video I think the tv screens on the wall might be too high for her to see
Flying isn't destroying the earth. Don't believe the BS. Engines are uber clean these days. The Davos Elite all use private jets all the time - if it was that bad they wouldn't right? Surely they wouldn't tell us what to do and do something different?...I am late to this video and the world has changed even more since you posted your comment - let's hope for peace and goodwill to all men.
The advantages of flying during the day. Beautiful awesome views . Usually we fly at night. Dark nothing to see 😂 Anyway it has been nearly 3 years we didn’t fly and I missed this!
I took the flight back from Munich back to Sg abt 3months ago and if you need snacks you will need to get from them and actually they were busy talking. Guess from your flight it seems to be quite empty and that is perhaps the reason why attention are given. My flight then was full. 😅
If only SQ would fly to YVR more often and back to Asia. At least YVR to Taipei so I could enjoy these comforts. Awesome too that you got that view! It's the best. 😀 especially to experience the beast wake up, that GE90. 😍
I have never flown with Singapore airlines ! I was going to then covid struck which then got cancelled as with all the uncertainty coupled with a travel ban imposed by the Australian government it became impossible to go anywhere . This video makes me want to fly Singapore airlines .
I haven't flown on Emirates or Qatar during COVID yet - but I was a bit disappointed to see it gone. At least it was still there in premium eco. on SQ.
Since this video was recorded, SQ actually started flying over Iran again (I assume that avoiding Iran was possible when they could fly over Afghanistan and/or Russia, but with those airspace(s) closed, it is not worth it for SQ to try and divert all the way around the gulf). I'm actually not sure why SQ had been avoiding Iranian overflights to begin with though, seeing how most other airlines (including almost every western airline) still flies over Iran.
Good video! You are given special attention as you are a PPS club member which the crews are aware of. Overall Singapore airlines crew service are still one of the best among major airlines.
Flying 2 the Philippines by Singapore Birmingham uk frankfurt Singapore then manila April 2nd cannot wait .Little nervous as my first time transiting country's.
I flew Singapore to Sydney last month and it was over three hours before we were offered a beverage, and that was a glass of water!. No alcohol offered on entire 8 hour flight. No choice of meal offered and no apology given. The food was so poor I couldn't eat it. So, two glasses of water on the whole flight. In my opinion Qantas has the best economy food of the airlines I have travelled with. However, I must way that the Singapore Airlines cabin crew were very friendly. Perhaps I should have been more outspoken about what I wanted? I will probably stick with Singapore Airlines as there online booking management system seems to work well.
Really? In my experience on Singapore they always seem to jump to work and quickly serve meals - but it's unfortunate you experienced this. My advice would be to talk to crew - they are usually very friendly and will give you pretty much whatever they have.
Amazing! Service is indeed remarkable. What an amazing and thoughtful crew! And it seems they have taken care of every detail. The seating is fantastic. A nice, wide seat with plenty of legroom! Thanks for the excellent review!
I'm glad you enjoyed! This was, truly, one of the best flights I have ever had (though it was also my first flight post-covid so that probably helped lol)
Previously there was a pre meal snack & drink which is not there now & the lunch portion has shrunk without the salad. Hopefully these are temporary cost cutting measures & full service should be reinstated when travel demand increases.
1:02 "Dining is only available à la carte"? Is this true? À la carte service is when you sit down and using a menu, you order your food/meal (entrée - appetizer; main course; dessert; tea/coffee, etc). 2:57 To welcome a passenger (a customer) like this, well it is nothing but classy!
14:23 regarding afghanistan I understand why. However iran and iraq are quite safe in fact many airlines tend to fly over them without any problems. Nice video✈️👍🏽
I really notice about SQ Crew Members paying really attention and Care to PPS Club Members ! It is really worth it to Have PPS Club members! Is not easy to have it !
It's amazing how you fly over the whole continent of India, simply amazing this world is. I love the way you show different places during the flight, middle East is stunning from the air.
Thanks! It's pretty rare you get a flight this long that spends so much time in daylight, so I don't recall having ever flown over the middle east and India during the day (mostly due to arrival times of most Doha/Dubai flights being in the middle of the night).
@@TheAirliner yes agreed, an unusual but excellent flight time. Just seeing the east coast, then the west coast of India, from the comfort of a plane, then over middle east, and watching from 38000 feet, amazed me every time.
Sg Air flight attendants have always been helpful in assisting me put away my luggage in the overhead compartment on all the flights I have taken with them. On the contrary, Air Canada flight attendants would not even bother to lift a finger to help me even when they saw me struggling to put away my luggage in the over head compartment, even though they were standing nexr to me.
Well ... Imagine the FAs were carry and stow bags for every flight. That is an occupational hazard You only see your own bags. What abt all the other bags that other passengers bring? I am glad Air Canada takes care of and protect their FAs. Sad to see that SQ do not
@@redmi9t444 nobody said that the FA's should be carrying and stowing away bags for every passenger. Read my comments properly before you shoot your mouth off. It is quite apparent that perhaps you are the sort of person who, if and when you see someone in difficulty and needs help, you would prefer to turn the other way and walk away. The SQ FA's offered their help because they saw me having much difficulty stowing away my luggage in the overhead compartment. Out of the kindness of their heart, they offered to help me as all kind and compassionate humans would. SQ did not give orders that their FA's had to do it for every every passenger, because that would be unnecessary and not their responsibility. @@eduardoking8402 With all due respect Sir, if you know you would get into difficulties with your cabin bags, then by all means please consider to check them in. No need to seek for sympathy from the crew nor the flying public

Great report! Definitely prefer your older videos where u put background music during the take off and landing. Makes you stand out from the other TH-camrs
Thank you! Intresting -- The reason I had stopped with the music was due to some feedback against it - but I'm glad to hear you liked it. Maybe I should bring it back.
@@TheAirliner yes I did saw those comments. Perhaps you can try music without vocals? I see a lot of negative feedback regarding the New York soundtrack since it's very repetitive
@@TheAirliner it depends on your viewers anyway... as an avgeek, I'd prefer no bgm during the take off/landing, especially since you mention it, the engine's sound is already a music to me :) but it's up to you all youtubers/video creators, because obviously, you can't satisfy everyone... so whatever you do, just do what you think is good and fun for you....
While the video is lovely, the time to read the captions/printouts is way too short. I found myself continuously rewinding to see what you wrote and ended up not really seeing the whole video. Way too laborious and time consuming. I'm not a speed reader and found this aspect annoying. Thank you.
My wife and I always choose SIA when travelling from the UK to visit her family in the Philippines as their level of customer service is higher than the competition. Pity that they cannot be open and honest about the absence of an appetiser for the meals as it is clearly a cost saving.
@@LYG347 Clearly they did but I would have more respect for them if they were honest to customers and say admit that it was a cost saving measure. There would be two choices to distinguish premium economy from economy. One would be to provide more to premium economy and the other to provide less to economy. They chose the latter. I know it's only a mere appetiser so the absence of it is not going to hurt anyone in economy but it's the absence of openness and honesty that niggles me.

@@eduardoking8402 With all due respect Sir, if you know you would get into difficulties with your cabin bags, then by all means please consider to check them in. No need to seek for sympathy from the crew nor the flying public
@@redmi9t444 Large numbers of Air Canada employees consider their job to be hazardous to life and limb. With this type work culture in the ranks, Air Canada remains a 3rd rate airline in my books. My experience with the airline has been significantly less than stellar.
Did not get that much on SQ 37 in January???
Great video. Did you sleep at all on this flight ?
I would miss appetizer and Haagen Dazs.
SQ used to serve more food, there were even singapore sling and Henessy
While the video is lovely, the time to read the captions/printouts is way too short. I found myself continuously rewinding to see what you wrote and ended up not really seeing the whole video. Way too laborious and time consuming. I'm not a speed reader and found this aspect annoying. Thank you.
Could you see the burj khalifa and the palm of Dubai from he plane
Wonderful video
Very nice video
My wife and I always choose SIA when travelling from the UK to visit her family in the Philippines as their level of customer service is higher than the competition. Pity that they cannot be open and honest about the absence of an appetiser for the meals as it is clearly a cost saving.
I believe they changed their meal offerings. Only Premium cabins get appetizers now as a way to distinguish them from the economy cabin.
I had the exact same seat and plane from London to Singapore!!
