While people are comparing Samsung's Exynos processor to other flagships, the one feature that's only available on Samsung devices and which should also be added by other companies in their smartphone software is that battery bypass feature which can help flagship phones stay cooler while gaming and the battery also doesn't detoriate in the long run meaning better battery performance in the long run. Like great job Samsung. I hope other brands also add this to their smartphones. Because battery replacement cost in non battery removeable smartphone is really expensive. So, this feature helps us a lot for all the samsung smartphone users out there.

im using my 24+ for a week now. i must say the gaming performance is much better now. no heating issues when playing mobile legends for hours. max temp I get is 40c. only gripe is the work profile there is a delay when you press back on any app thats in work profile like outlook teams word onedrive. I hope the next update fix that. thank you for helping me not cancel my pre order 😅
Please continue making these videos. Please grab an S24 SD3 unit or S24+SD3 and compare those with equivalent EXYNOS counter part. This is the only way to really see and compare behavior of the 2 processors.

For gaming both SD and Exynos will heat up but test heating situation in normal usage like downloading bigger files using mobile data ,Instagram reels, tiktok etc then we can see difference in heating between these 2 chipset 90% of the people will not play games most probably using in direct sunlight,heavy files downloading,more recent apps, video recording So in these scenarios how these 2 chipset performs 😊
For everyone noticing the battery dropping like 1-2% in these kinda tests, th ephone is probably still sipping battery for some components to ensure the phone turns on. Without it, if you disconnect the charger phone will just die on you
The temperatures with the cooler attached are supposed to target Samsung should try to aim at,I've taken note ,and I've seen it on NL videos here of recent battery by-pass videos, when i play a heavy game without battery by-pass my temperature slowly steadily rises.... But when i redo the same test and immediately connect and enable usb pause delivery (battery by-pass) the temperature hastily climbs through to 40°C then works from there between 43°C to 45°C......where is the "keeps temperature down" part Samsung ?
Exynos with RDNA GPU doesn't have an openGL driver. They use google's ANGLE, an openGL to Vulkan API code translator. This is the main issue with exynos 2200 and 2400.
It probably won't be corrected, atleast not from Samsung because even Google seem to be heading in the same direction with Android 14, using Angle as the default on the pixel. There are now custom OGL drivers (I e Mesa) but Samsung are just to stubborn to try out one or build one
@keshinroqudus4737 you are mistaken. Samsung's angle driver contributes highly, and schedule issues are issues that can be sufficiently modified by the manufacturer.
Amazing testing. I think it sucks that frame (EDIT: SIDE FRAME) gets hot to the touch while gaming. Back of the phone should be hot, not the frame where you are holding it! Personally i had the chance to use s10+ and s21 fe exynos for gaming. s10+ frame would literally burn my fingers while s21fe exynos was still alright despite both of them pushed to the limits. Clearly it is comething that can be fixed
Ideally the frame will get hot to disipate heat. Staucture and conducting heat is the intention. Having the frame insulate would mean the core cant cool as well.

Been using it for 5 days now and it's really good so far. As always, we are all looking for something bad especially after past experiences with exynos. But seems good. Would still prefer 8gen3 but not possible in the UK. My battery is getting better by the day. Anyways, I have 9 days left to exchange or give back if I find anything uncomfortable to live with. Trouble with that is I will probably lose my free galaxy s6 watch which hasn't been out sent yet. And if I do exchange for the ultra, I won't have the double your storage deal anymore so will just be the 256g. My S24 plus is cobalt violet, 512g. Really hope it keeps on performing well as it's a beautiful device in the hand. And to look at.
@NasiLemakTech oh right wow. Do you think 8gen2 would handle better? My exynos got very hot on the second day after WiFi switched off. It wasn't connecting to anything on 5 or 4g. I had to restart it and then it was working again. Really hope it was a minor glitch. Want to keep this phone. I've read elsewhere how the ultra 8gen3 didn't get as hot as the S24 exynos. Do chips/processors get bad over time? Someone said they don't.
I can only speak by my personal experience, I've had the Galaxy S6 edge+ with the Exynos 7420, the S8 with the Exynos 8895 and the S20 Ultra with the Exynos 990 (that was bad at their time), my devices still work flawlessly, the S20 Ultra charging it up to 80%-85% of battery and with FHD+ resolution still gives me over the 7 hours and a haltf of Sot, the S8 is 5 hours but still decent since its the base model and has an old process node, and even also my S6 edge+ Exynos still works well even for a seocnd hand device, I need to say that some updated improved the things on the S20U@@Facu1ty1855
@casuarius6576 thanks mate 👍🏻 I also had the S105g from 2019 with exynos. It worked really well and can't remember any faults. The battery degraded badly though. I still have it. Switched it on the other day just to update apps and it took nearly an hour to update 21 apps on Google which is so long. Once the phone warmed up so to speak, it performed like an animal. I suppose this newer version just has to be much better as we've all been seeing. Tbh, I'm mainly waiting for this update everyone is talking about regarding the vivid mode for the screen where it's stuck on natural. If I don't get this update before my 14 days return guarantee, I'm definitely sending it back! Hopefully they will sort out this issue ASAP. I love vivid mode. Especially with a quad hd screen.
S23U as it's an older phone, meaning it already got lots of optimization especially for emulation since dev tends to optimize snapdragon better compared to exynos
What i did was dismantle the device brand new apply thermal compound and copper shims to the soc and all heat emitting components and built a paper thin vapor chamber to help draw heat away from the device then i water proof the device with high temperature gasket silicone
2200 was bad as hell thats why i returned my s22p+ but this one performs amazing. Well im stuck on s23u but i must recognize this new exynos is doing almost like gen2 or maybe better, idk, you tell me.
Haha I use both styles. Usually on review devices I stick with buttons but on my personal devices, I usually go gesture. I don’t know why I have such a separation. TBF, spamming the back button to quit anything is still one of the best things about Android
I really don’t care if they surpass Apple’s chips or not. These chipmakers need to balance efficiency and performance. Don’t blindly chase performance only
@@NasiLemakTech Well, In terms of power efficiency and better battery management Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is the best till date, it has top class battery management, bcoz I am personally using S23 and the better efficiency is top class with 8 gen 2 easy, 6 to 7 hrs SOT with heavy to medium usage.
He shouldve gone off the game and let the phone cool before then using the cooling fan and bypass charging because the cooling fan works better when installed at a cool temperature then itll be better at maintaning those cool temps but to just immidiately stick it on a hot surface just reduces its effectiveness and isnt realisticly how people will be using the fan in real life usage. People stick this thing on THEN start playing the game!
Yet the TEC cooler still prevented the phone from thermal throttling WITHOUT letting the phone cool down first. That's how effective a TEC cooler can be.

As a result of my test, there seems to be a scheduler problem when running the opengl game. It was different from the scheduler in vulkan.

This is for old versions. Exynos 2400 is much better than old versions.
Nothing can be fixed. Every phone will have a hot frame because that’s just how physics work

I'm playing HSR with exynos, it run just fine at ultra settings on regular S24, I'm pretty sure it's less CPU intensive than Genshin

No, 8 Gen 3 reached 46C in this test too.
And it throttled much harder and worse compared to the Exynos 2400

I think samsung's way of displaying app usage is faulty.
S24 had about 50 to 51 fps in the temp of 45 but exynos is giving 55 to 58 fps in 46 Temps.. what's is going on?????

Haha I use both styles. Usually on review devices I stick with buttons but on my personal devices, I usually go gesture. I don’t know why I have such a separation.

@@NasiLemakTech Well, In terms of power efficiency and better battery management Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is the best till date, it has top class battery management, bcoz I am personally using S23 and the better efficiency is top class with 8 gen 2 easy, 6 to 7 hrs SOT with heavy to medium usage.

He shouldve gone off the game and let the phone cool before then using the cooling fan and bypass charging because the cooling fan works better when installed at a cool temperature then itll be better at maintaning those cool temps but to just immidiately stick it on a hot surface just reduces its effectiveness and isnt realisticly how people will be using the fan in real life usage. People stick this thing on THEN start playing the game!
Yet the TEC cooler still prevented the phone from thermal throttling WITHOUT letting the phone cool down first. That's how effective a TEC cooler can be.
