There is the old school EXP share, but definitely not enough Also Misty is definitely one of the hardest if not the hardest early game gym.
The problem for most fans isn't so much the exp share per se, but that you can't deativate it. Sure, it is good when you are retraining a whole team, or several members, but when you aren't, the exp.share makes your team be so overlevelled, if you like to fight any trainer you find, that makes most games too easy.
@@Oshawaves I can't personally say about gen 7 (although as far as I know, in both gen 6 and 7 you can deactivate it), but in Gen 8 and 9 you can't because it's not an item, it's just a mechanic. I really like Crystal Clear, It really is clear and open. But I do miss the events from Gold and Silver, I was bummed when there wasn't the rival or Mr. Pokemon
There are multiple Exp. shares in this game. One is on top of the big cave west to the ruins of alph. Its right next to the Picknicker on the phone south of violet city. Youve got to head into the cave though.
I have literally been looking for a vid like this for a year this was the best video I have seen Thank you for your work! I’d like to see another one if everyone agrees!
**wastes 90 minutes on speedup button** **uses 40 of those minutes soft reseting, saying it’s too bad it wasn’t all 90** **soft resets for 50 minutes on Zapdos** **leaves game on to get those 50 minutes on the clock** Am I the only one seeing flawed logic here?
I love this romhack and enjoyed your playthrough, though I do have to say I found your complaining about lack of an Exp Share a little funny. I found one on top of a cliff while wandering between the Ruins of Alph and Route 32. Not exactly modern because it’s the one you give to a Pokemon to share exp with that singular one, but I feel like it would have helped with the switch training.
Constricted by 24 hours, under more desirable conditions a Steelix would have been a wonderful edition to your team too. Espeon, I have never tried but would be a wonderful addition to my own team.
@@Oshawaves thanks I asked beacuse I made a physical cartridge of version 2.5.8 and doing a playthrough on it an using your video as a walkthrough and it really helps ! 👍
You don't even mention how you started with a shiny Eevee. Did you soft reset a couple thousand times? Can you choose a shiny starter by default? Did you use a manip.? More info would be appreciated.
I'll never understand why people call them legendary dogs. How anyone can think raikou is anything other than a Sabre toothed tiger is mind blowing. They are lion tiger and leopard it has been stated in a Japanese interview. For the record I did use to think suicune was a dog. The game looks fun I hope to check it out one day
The easiest way I've found to Gind is to re challenge the Gyms give the pokemon I'm training Amulet Coin or Lucky Egg. And Grind it out 50 levels in less than half an hour. I'm using speed up of course. But it's way easier than switch training.
I was grinding the gyms over and over, definitely didn’t 50 levels in half an hour with speed up, but I think that’s the only efficient want to level grind
@@Oshawaves x16 speed up put the stab move in the first attack slot auto A. Change the gym Difficulty as you progress. Change gyms according to the pokemon type so you have advantage. Trust me.
I find it odd that he talked several times about how there wasn't an EXP share available in the game, when you can literally see one being available for purchase from the game corner. You can see it at 28:50

@@Oshawaves I can't personally say about gen 7 (although as far as I know, in both gen 6 and 7 you can deactivate it), but in Gen 8 and 9 you can't because it's not an item, it's just a mechanic.
Fair is fair, I didn't feel particularly overleveled in Paldea. I had two teams, sure, but I managed to keep my main team in line with most of the challenges.
@@Oshawaves You can turn off the exp share key item in gen6 and 7 games. Gen 8 is where it became permanently on and its the same in Gen9.
Please do a part 2! I really enjoyed this
I really like Crystal Clear, It really is clear and open. But I do miss the events from Gold and Silver, I was bummed when there wasn't the rival or Mr. Pokemon
Yeah I feel like they should implement some sort of rival in the game! Would be pretty cool to see
There are multiple Exp. shares in this game. One is on top of the big cave west to the ruins of alph. Its right next to the Picknicker on the phone south of violet city. Youve got to head into the cave though.
Great video, the man who called was Randy Savage, a WWF wrestler back long ago
Thank you, and sounds like another reference. This game seems to be full of those
Well i didnt expect the macho man to make an appearance in this video. Oooooooh Yeaaaaaaa Dig it !
So alot of people are telling me that the creator of this rom hack took codes from other rom hacks and put it in his game and didn't give credit
name a pokemon Dragapult, in honor of my Dragapult, my Klawf :D
I have literally been looking for a vid like this for a year this was the best video I have seen Thank you for your work! I’d like to see another one if everyone agrees!
I’m glad you enjoyed! :) i have so many videos planned for the near future, including a pt 2 of this video!
Yay looking forward to it! @@Oshawaves
There's also pokewilds, It's a fully open world with procedurally generated terrain, overworld pokemon and 1/256 shiny odds.
name a pokemon "opulent"
Part 2 please 🙏🏾 this was awesome 😎
**wastes 90 minutes on speedup button**
**uses 40 of those minutes soft reseting, saying it’s too bad it wasn’t all 90**
**soft resets for 50 minutes on Zapdos**
**leaves game on to get those 50 minutes on the clock**
Am I the only one seeing flawed logic here?
I realized this after recording the entire script and half way through editing the video LOL. Was too late to turn back by the time i realized :,)
I love it! Gonna do something similar for some playthroughts ^^
it's a great game! Hope you have fun :D
you are one of the biggest gems i found on youtube❤❤
Thank you so much! i'm glad you enjoy :D
Do this still using real day cycle? It still peeved me to find Frida during Friday
I think it does. eevee evolved into espeon and it was during the day IRL
This was great! would love to see a part 2
If this rom scaled level of wild and gym pokemon to your highest party member like inclement emerald, that would be cool
I agree, the wild levels are a bit hard to deal with
I love gen 3 graphics personally, but this video was enough to turn me over to gen2... but not quite tho.
Great video!! Had to get this for myself I’m so excited to have a fresh experience with an old friend 😊
Constricted by 24 hours, under more desirable conditions a Steelix would have been a wonderful edition to your team too. Espeon, I have never tried but would be a wonderful addition to my own team.
I just wanna ask on which version are you playing?
the newest version i believe
@@Oshawaves thanks I asked beacuse I made a physical cartridge of version 2.5.8 and doing a playthrough on it an using your video as a walkthrough and it really helps ! 👍
no worries! Happy to help :D @@Luka-up8yo
Bugsy is the first Gym Leader with a full team of six.
He's also male ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Was the Zappos sprite shiny on the overworked before encountering it?
@@ericvascotto1131 no sadly
where can i go to download the game and the emulator that you used? i have had a couple that ive used over the years and they all kinda stop working
www.pokeharbor.com/2022/01/pokemon-crystal-clear/
download link ^ and i used mGBA :)
Question are you gonna put your Pokémon sun and moon custom shiny play through on twitch and TH-cam
I’m going to stream it live on twitch, and then edit it into a video for TH-cam :)
Oh thanks for covering that
Are the mechanics in this game the same as G/S/C? Like the special/physical split being based on types(ghost physical/fire special)?
yep! :D
@@Oshawaves awesome I seen a hard copy online I think I’m going to purchase also does the mechanics for hidden power still work the same?
You don't even mention how you started with a shiny Eevee. Did you soft reset a couple thousand times? Can you choose a shiny starter by default? Did you use a manip.? More info would be appreciated.

Not the "where the hood at" bike theme
I DIED WHEN I HEARD IT LOL
What a brilliant game
I want the 2 part of this game with the events of Mewtwo, celebi, and some misteries.
It may just have to happen 🫣
@@Oshawaves thanks fuck me plz
I'll never understand why people call them legendary dogs. How anyone can think raikou is anything other than a Sabre toothed tiger is mind blowing. They are lion tiger and leopard it has been stated in a Japanese interview. For the record I did use to think suicune was a dog. The game looks fun I hope to check it out one day
Do a part 2 where tou do all the exclusive events for thsi game! Including Shadow Lugia
100% plan on making a part 2! have a bunch of projects i'm working on but i will be making a part 2 soon! :D
Hell yeah!
Trust me.
W video as always sir osha
Hope you enjoyed :D
I find it odd that he talked several times about how there wasn't an EXP share available in the game, when you can literally see one being available for purchase from the game corner. You can see it at 28:50
It’s not the modern xp share, the old school one is completely different
I watched this while eating mayonnaise and cheerios w video
lemme get a bite
@@Oshawaves to bad I already ate my mayo spaghettios

Bruh 😂 u my new favorite. That music do go hard
6:02 aren't they there in a original game?
Well I certainly didn't expect a Link's Awakening reference. What's next, you go back in just to be Hyper Beamed to death?
Hyper beaming a human?! That would be absurd! *cough cough Lance’s dragonite *
I love espeon it looks goofy but looks cool too
Facts 💯
That porygon 2 hit 5 zap cannons in a row. What luck!
I enjoy this watching I've beat pokemon crystal clear and got a couple of shinies. I downloaded another file to do a shiny only team got a shiny totodile as my starter and caught the shiny miltank at the farm. I'm also going to hunt some of the legendary with chaining. Would love to see you play this again.
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed! Good luck with the legendary hunts! I personally love the chaining shiny hunting method :)
@@Oshawaves thanks I just started hunting moltres for a flyer and a fire type.
@@Oshawaves I just got my shiny moltres
In all of my years of playing pokemon.... i never knew seeing the pictures of them would add them to your dex. 😂😂
Wait wait wait
The interviewer with the steelix and scizor...
IS THAT A GOSH DARN MEGAMAN REFERENCE
Perhaps 👀
now this is awesome
and maybe even epic
Fantastic video!
The guy complaining about you trying to get him in trouble is a Half Life reference
