Thank you for taking me out with you for a total of 7 hours 😂 great fun as always, not forgetting the refreshments 😅
We need to do another Live !
Let me know when you’re next available. 😂
Thanks Lisa, I hope that you had a lovely time celebrating your son's birthday, the food at The Rising Sun looked as good as it was when I was there many years ago. I think that there may have been lots of swearing and cursing onboard the little dinghy, lol. Have a lovely weekend. Take care and all the best. Stevie
⛵️ I think you might be right 😂
The meals were fantastic. First time I’ve been there but it’s definitely somewhere we would all go back to.
The cabin yachts on Barton are from Hunters, the whole fleet was hired for the week by a Scout expedition group called Swan. This was the 74th year of the expedition. The whole fleet of cabin yachts was hired, along with 3 boats from orher yards.... 65 people on 17 yachts for the week.
Wow what a super holiday that must have been. Did you see last week…. Another big group booking … one of hunter yard boats sank during Storm Kathleen. It’s in my latest video that went out yesterday, plus the link for the newspaper article.
Thank you for watching.
Hi Lisa, even by your standards this was a brilliant video. All the lovely places we love to go. The man in the R/S dinghy was very busy and the site of the hunters boats was great to see. I think they were hunters yard too. We could stand and talk to you about this video for ages. ❤️❤️❤️😍🥰😘👌👏👏👏
You are both so kind thank you.
Hope you and Wendy have a lovely weekend. It’s addictive seeing what you both cook next 😂….. oh and it’s your fault that I’ve booked a “hide away” 😂😂😂😂😂
@@NewnameSameme hi Lisa, I hope your hideaway is as good as ours. We’ve had a few. 🥰😍❤️😘👍
Nice videoas usual, goodto see the boats out in number again. The person with the sailing boat at Hickling looké like they weere having lots of fun, we once had to rescue 3 teenagers on Ranworth Broad who were also havingthis type of fun and got their mast stuch in the bottom and couldn't right the boat, the joys of sailing ,give me a motor every time.
I do enjoy sitting and watching at Hickling.
Hope you are both ok .
Great video as always! Linz and I will be picking up Bright Horizon tomorrow afternoon, can't wait hehe...
Oh great news, I hope you both have a wonderful holiday. I look forward to seeing the video. 🛥️🐶
Excellent Leasa. I think the poor young lad with the RS dinghy, was going through a steep learning curve!
I think he had worn himself out.
Thanks for watching ⛵️
Glad the Maltsters has reopened as it was always a very popular pub for both locals and boaters. Your meal at the Rising Sun looked lovely. The walk to Barton Broad was a good idea to walk off the cake. How lovely you had Judith for company. I hope she is doing well. So then, you did not walk off lunch when you got to Hickling ??? 😂😂😂 You drove down the track instead..... Good to see they have already started work on the pub by Hickling Broad. Hope you have a wonderful weekend. I am going to help straighten headstones in the church yard tomorrow!
Oh that sounds good SW. what a lovely thing to do.
Good to hear the Maltsters pub has reopened Lisa.
It’s wonderful news isn’t it
Access to Cresta cottage at Horning is still very restricted due to flooding on Ferry View Rd. Something is not right there...
It’s always the first place to flood but I thought everywhere was clear now.
@@NewnameSameme It is, most places went dry on March 9, but Ferry View Rd remains flooded. The holiday lets down there have been empty for five months now, very frustrating for the owners.
Oooh those meals looked nice , especially the puddings lol , we went to coltishall a few years ago , & we had a meal at the sun , & the meals were massive , even the starters , it looked a little choppy on the water , & felt sorry for that guy with his yacht turning over , it did'nt look like he was having much luck .
Hi Lori, it was fabulous at the Rising Sun. We plan to go back for another birthday 🥳
I must admit, the Rising Sun is a fabulous pub. Their pizza's are made to order and are great. You can also ask for a box to take away what you don't consume.
We had a fabulous time. I may pizza next time I go.
Pennygate Staithe. The name may refer to a toll charge for some reason or perhaps a girl's name in connection with the staithe.
Oh that’s clever, a toll, thank you 🙌
