Unfortunatly my introduction to juki was on a broken machine, I ended up buying a Janome but have watched the progress of the machines and they are impressive.
Yes I am taking lessons and my tutor has a Bernina. I can't afford it so I am looking at the Juki dx7 but then stumbled across this beauty (Juki DX4000)
My Bernina locked up, repeatdly…………so having a manual in the mchine did no good. It went into the shope three times only 1 hour if sewing. So sorry I bought it. Since, I just purchased a juki 2010. Life long 75yr old sewer here; owner of many machines: singer treddle, viking with cams, elna from 17s my favorite, elna lotus, top of the line brother and 3 types of janome, gifted four beginner machines to students. Biggest bang for buck is brother 625SE. Now I’m quite interested in thisnew Janome. Glad they fixed the lighting. Question: are the standard high shank juki feet interchangable ? No one answers this question.
Lovely machine. I'm having difficulty in making up my mind which machine I should go with. They all seem to have great features. So hard to decide! Lol
I chose the DX4000…..lots of bells and whistles that we deserve!…I can’t get over that 12” throat space!…Great Sale price too!👍🏻 I’m 63, so I’m thinking this will probably be my last machine, might as well get what I want!💕🎄🎅🏻👍🏻
My other question is this. It says wifi but I didn't see where it says Bluetooth. Does it have an audio jack port? I ask as I sew at night and would not like disturbing my hubby or neighbors in the wee hours while they are sleeping. So if it doesn't have either Bluetooth or an audio jack then that feature is useless to me
I love how well this machine is designed, but can you use it for heirloom sewing? There's no mention of wing needles in the manuals. I see what appear to be Venetia and Parisian hemstitches though. Pintucking feet don't seem to be available, nor do 4mm and 6mm felling feet, which I use on most of my projects. Do other brands of feet work with these machines? These features are crucial to my decision.
You can use a good wing needle on this machine for your heirloom stitching! ❤️ this machine is a low shank 7mm, some feet may work for other brands but you won’t be able to use the smart feed with those feet since they won’t have the cut out in the back.
I have this machine. I was attracted to the touchscreen. Overall I like it, but don’t care for all the extra decorative, etc stitches which I don’t think came out all that great anyway. It also did not do well on the bulky part when hemming jeans. I still enjoy it because of the ease of the touch screen and other features.
Just keep playing with that floating feature you have on the machine as well as the juki built in walking foot. Once you find the sweet spot that machine can sew over a lot !
Agree 👍🏽.. As a good, passionate, respected professional tailor, designer, garments maker, quiltists... this machine is like fancy jewelry equipment we should have on our working table. A lot of technology, impressive looks, and features.. but still need the TL-18QVP for heavy duty jobs...
Fancy.. but It still remains a weaker model with its performance capability limit. No denim or jeans thread tasks allowed.. we should have both: The DX-4000QVP & The TL-18QVP. 💰 money 💰
I have a DLN 415 Juki sorry nothing to do with the actual machine you are showing but I need a little information about this old machine, could you help please
David, do you have a horse because you said for adjusting the stitch length you said stride lol that’s a horse terminology This is on my wish list, but I can almost buy a decent used car for the price of this machine. Almost thinking that I would not need my Juki TL 18 if I got this machine.
@@yolandarowe3094 if the DX 4000 has a straight stitch capability then I’m wondering why would I need both? I’m trying to downsize but I do have my eye on a baby lock victory over locker
Hi there dcwatashi…I see your name on Swe Yeah shows….i believe we both have the Singer Quantum 9960…..now I have this Juki DX4000 coming next week….Will use Singer for back up….its a nice step up, huh?…🎄💕
Bought mine 3 months ago. I love it! Still learning, so I appreciate all the help Juki provides through videos. Thank you!
Glad to help!

Great video. I have to look away though. I’ve bought three new machines this year. Lol
Look away!!! haha
LOVE mine which is no small statement after leaving Bernina.
Bernina is like cutting thru butter with a hot knife.
@@burch19705 Cold butter or hot butter? 😉 Are you a Bernina fan or foe?

LOVE mine!
I’ve been researching, some mixed reviews but I’m leaning toward user error.
@BridgeMD I would agree. The only *problem* I've had with mine is that it won't let me indulge in bad habits acquired during 40+ years of sewing.😂
I absolutely adore my 4000 ❤
ordered mine today after much research...great sale price helped too! Can't wait to get it!
You'll love it :)
@@JukiJunkiesYou are so correct! So far, so great! 💕💕 it runs sooo smoothly!
I wish there was a Juki dealer in my area. 😢 I would LOVE to test drive this machine! It looks awesome.
Interesting experience with those features and modern technologies.

Can you please make video what all juki serger MO654DE do ?
Is there another Juki
Model that also has the built in walking foot feed system?
NX7 DX 3000
Can it handle UV resistant thread and size 18 needle?

Does it have accufeed feet?
what about vinyl or pleather? I was looking at this for the walking foot but not sure how it is with the bag making materials
It handles it pretty good. It just comes down to if that is your main source of sewing get a machine that is more geared towards that.
How well does this machine handle thicker fabrics when fmq or making rag quilts quilted bags and fabric bowls and rugs?
It does great! It has plenty of power :)
Not that strong 😢😢
