      @@AJaytheCEO Sometime this weekend, I will set up everything I need to do so our scriptures and songs will be displayed on our live feed and I will definitely do this. I know how to add lower thirds, but I wanted to do animated lower thirds, I just started using OBS and my end goal it to have animated lower thirds come on when a singer begins to sing a song and then a different animated lower third when my dad gives his sermon, I am working on ideas; but I want to have an animated scroll opening up to reveal the scriptures and then once he is done I click another button and the animation reverses.

      I also found out that if for some reason the SDI scan converter does not show up or you can not install the Newtek NDI 4 Tools, check your CPU, I had to upgrade my quad core to another CPU, this NDI Scan converter needs to talk to your display through network. It needs SSSE3 instructions. A program called CPU-Z which is free; will check your CPU. Once you run this program look under the CPU tab which should be chosen by default and look towards the middle where it says "Instructions".

    We have 2 computers. One is for the OBS setup / Livestream and the other is for our powerpoint slides that we project to the tvs in the church. My question is: how do I get the whats on the powerpoint monitor over to the computer that runs our OBS? what cord or capture card should I be buying for this?

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't need a cord, you only need to install the ndi tools scan converter on the presentation computer and the ndi obs plug in and then you can capture to presentation monitor outputing words to obs as an ndi source

  • @tiffanysparks3412
    @tiffanysparks3412 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    we have the HMDI out from our laptop running Proclaim to the projector. I was told that we could run a "confidence monitor" output via NDI to OBS (on different computer) and change the confidence monitor settings to lower thirds format and that can be captured in OBS. However I only have 1 output from our laptop. Do I need to get a docking station with another output in order for system to recognize a third screen in order to use confidence monitor settings in OBS? In other words I need the image projecting in sanctuary to be normal slides but what shows up in OBS to be lower third format.

    • @AJaytheCEO
      @AJaytheCEO  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If this is built in then no additional physical monitor is needed. Propresenter 7 does this as well over NDI

    • @tiffanysparks3412
      @tiffanysparks3412 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AJaytheCEO Unfortunately Proclaim does not have a built in NDI monitor like Propresenter. So, I am assuming I need to have a 2nd output in order to make this happen, correct? ie. 1 HDMI output to projector and another HDMI output to confidence monitor (that we dont use)/ or the HDMI to VGA converter mentioned in your other video so it thinks there is another screen - then I can change that "screen" setting to confidence monitor and capture in OBS?

      @@AJaytheCEO Ok, we tried it today in our service, and I was able to get it to work really well in the week, but today it was about 20 seconds delayed so we didnt end up using it. Not too sure why this was the case, but I'm thinking the problem might be that the Streaming PC is not on Ethernet yet. I've setup the PC in the meanwhile while we wait for our ISP tech to install it this week. Do you think that was the problem?
      Also do you possibly know if I can somehow take the output from out Media computer and convert it to HDMI and input it into the streaming PC or is that not possible?
      My other option I was thinking was to have a zoom call and then screenshare the media Pc and then pick it up and input in the streaming PC and key out backgrounds?
      What would you suggest and what are your thoughts?

    I’m confused by the title as you used two switchers, OBS, _and_ vMix to complete the workflow. The title is what I’m looking for, the video is close, but not what I’m after. How would you put a lower third over an image/video/Zoom call using only NDI tools, and _no_ switcher?
