I haven't played since 2022, but it never feels like you really leave this game, does it? Thank you Star. Don't worry about making 'content' for this game. It was just really nice to feel that again for a second.
I'm not even one of the people who begged you to play tf2 again, but seeing you talk positively about the game after all the grief it's community has put you through makes me really happy.
what I love about TF2's philosophy is that even if you don't contribute a lot you can feel like you still accomplish something even if you dont win the game
Conversely, every time I absolutely slaughter the enemy team, top score, and we lose anyway, i'm just about to rage, when something indescribably funny happens and I can't get mad.
Overwatch is the opposite for me. As a tank/support main it feels like no matter what I do I can’t change the outcome of a match a lot of the times just because we have bad dps.
A beautifully apt statement that perfectly captures what still remains uniquely special about TF2- and I absolutely hate that contemporary multiplayer culture would look at it with derision thanks to the esport brain worms.
Ive watched you since I was 13, watched that tournament you had with yogacast and that last round the owner of tf2 just started using hacks, that literally dragged me through such a depressing stage of my life, no friends, bad grades etc. Now i'm here back again, currently in my final year of uni, in a happy relationship with my girlfriend of 5 years, getting married soon and most importantly having a solid core of friends and family to rely on. You were the reason I managed to muscle through the dark days of my life. You might not be reading this, but just know that you are amazing, Star_, thank you sir.

Sweet Genius is still a video that I watch at least yearly. I'm sorry it didn't get as many views as you wanted, especially with all the work you put into it. That was brilliant. My friends and I quote it all the time. Keep making what you wanna make.
Ster was and is the goat of TF2, you and b4nny got me into the competitive gaming scene as well as being great entertainers, so glad to see you back and happy to see whatever you do next tf2 or not!
Wow, something about this video hit me hard right in the feels. Reminds me of simpler times, back when all I wanted to do was get home from school so I could play TF2 and watch star videos. That was close to 10 years now. Jeez
Man with smosh back together I thought this month couldn't get crazier but I was dead wrong, hope you continue doing videos, gorbo grandman is unironically still in my top 10 yt videos
It's always a pleasure to see this channel active again! Been watching you on twitch, but this more edited content is something I very much appreciate as well.

I always wished each video of your basically series was longer, they are so funny to me and I re-watch them constantly to this day. So excited to hear another one is coming!
I cannot believe that such a simple video nearly made me cry. It's like he was never gone from TF2. Even if he doesn't post videos frequently. Man I can't. Thanks Ster_ for sticking around, much appreciated. Sidenote: I also graduated from High School and University in the meantime :^) Time is flying by man.
This year I'm turning 30, and I still recall getting "The orange box" for christmas 2007 as one of the best christmas gift I've ever gotten. This game brought me so much joy the years following that. Today I don't play any videogames at all, but every once in a while I come to think of TF2 and miss those times fondly.
It's surreal to see you return after so long, and I'm glad that you have decided to play TF2 again, especially after so long. I unfortunately quit a little while ago for a myriad of reasons, but it'll be interesting seeing you make content for the game again in some form if at all. A lot's changed, and there's new ideas.
Like the grizzled veteran alone in the woods that the old colonel visits for one last mission...Mr. Ster, we need you now more than ever. A lot of us are trying to keep the gimmick alive, but we can use your help. If not, Godspeed with your current projects. But the old guard here misses you deeply amidst all the current TF2bers.
The last time I watched a brand new, TF2-focused star video the very day it came out I was in my second year of college, living in my parents' tiny extra room while our kitchen had no oven, barely had working water, our bathrooms barely worked, and I had absolutely nothing to my name other than a 2008 laptop held together with tape. Today, I'm watching this and looking around me and looking at my computer with 7950x and an RTX 4090, sitting my nice comfy Herman Miller chair, in the bedroom apartment in which I live alone, working from home in a job I like and during my free time while I work on my hobbies. And somehow, watching this video, has made me miss those old days even if they were obviously worse. I can't put into words how this video made me feel. The realization of how much time has passed and how much has changed since... People will (Sometimes rightly) scuff at youtube as nothing more than ADHD entertainment for the chronic procrastinator, but moments like these make me happy to have followed this man (And Jerma) for as long as I did. It's a good way to look around you and realize how far you have come. I can only hope others feel the same way if not about this video then whoever other creator they found themselves invested in.
I first started watching your and Jerma’s videos in 2013 with my brother when we were 13 and 9. We’re 23 and 19 now. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw a notification for a new Ster video
You and TF2 were such a large part of early gaming days and I definitely miss it. I remember first beginning to play TF2 on a laptop and using a clipboard for a mousepad in my room. Now I’m an adult and wanting to relive all that.
This isn't even on my recommend, i just searched for you here to rewatch your videos because i started playing tf2 again a couple of weeks ago. And now i stumble upon this recent video and man this hits back home. The nostalgia kicks in so much where i went from a dumb highschool kid to a bachelor's degree in Architecture. In which at this point i still feel like a kid).
I just want to say thanks for making my childhood just that much better with your videos. The videos you made when I was a kid will always hold a special place in my heart. Keep on keepin on star.
I know you had a rough go of it and people were being rude about you not playing TF2, so you coming back even briefly is a welcome surprise. Good to see you again. 😀
It is super sweet in my opinion to see you playing tf2 again lately, this update even if it wasn't much Even if it's veterans and the strive for nostalgia TF2 deserves to be FUN for everyone Makes me smile that you've been enjoying it again as well, I'm sorry you got ddossed a bunch the last time you had streamed it but I'm super grateful the community had been pretty swell for you lately. Hope to see your next video!❤
It truly is amazing just how big an impact you and Jerma have made on this game. Even a literal decade after some of your more popular videos like Jerma is Mad, I still see people running around standing in *places people shouldn't be (now with guns)*. It's unreal. Happy to see you back, at least to a certain degree.
With all that cynical for show personality I remember you for, I wasn't really expecting you to be one of the only people left to rememember the value of fun in TF2, and games as awhole, and to not be swept by the comptetetive fewer. It's as surprising as it is heartwarming. It's good to hear you back
I don't care about what you play or don't, you're an entertaining person nonetheless. *YOU* are the content, it's always been like that, it was the case back when I started watching you in 2013 and it still is. I will admit this is a nice dose of nostalgia, reminds me of better, simpler days. Good times.
It is surprising how many people think he just up and disappeared. Well, technically from this channel yes, but he has a secondary channel (shown in his channel tab) and streams pretty regularly (just whatever he wants to play).

You are one of mye GOATS of all time, and I hope the best for you and yoru fute
It's funny how Star used to screech about how TF2 needed comp and needed skill based matchmaking and now it lacking those (except supposedly it has them :D with meat your match) it's part of the nostalgia? LMAO.
I’m so fucking happy Ster. That you’re back on TH-cam and TF2, but I’m glad you’re happy in general. I’m now gonna watch whatever you do. Thank you for raising me when my parents were busy with their job and sometimes they couldn’t when I was a kid.
found the channel 2 days ago and I've been binging like crazy. I feel kind of sad that I never checked it out until now, because I feel like I missed out on a ton of good stream moments lol. I was watching a ton of streamers like 3-6 years ago and Ster would have been at least one of my top favorites. the last video I watched before this one was Warframe Addiction, I was legitimately addicted to that game at the time it was uploaded. the second I saw him using some of the exact builds I was rolling with I was like WHERE have I been?

I'm not even one of the people who begged you to play tf2 again, but seeing you talk positively about the game after all the grief it's community has put you through makes me really happy.
the good ending :)
I’m part of the TF2 community and I don’t remember doing anything to hurt Star. I watched him play Ana on Numbani.
what I love about TF2's philosophy is that even if you don't contribute a lot you can feel like you still accomplish something even if you dont win the game
It really did carry a very special charm that modern matchmaking systems just obliterate
@@jsamue12 that's an issue with the format. TF2 has big matches across big maps 6v6 just inherently makes thing more rigid
You might not be reading this, but just know that you are amazing, Star_, thank you sir.
it's like 10 years ago just came back in this moment. The old high school time without all stressing job.. waiting to go home and play TF2 and watching you playing TF2..
After catching your recent streams, it was really nice to hear you share your recent impressions here. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the current state of the game, and I'm glad you had a better time than before.
crazy to think i’ve been a huge fan of you for over half my lifetime. Became a fan in early middle school around 2011/2012. i’m 21 now and it’s amazing to hear your voice again
God damn ster, what a surprise to see you on this channel uploading tf2 again. Dont let the diehard tf2 fans drag you down again
this makes me so happy
Wow, something about this video hit me hard right in the feels. Reminds me of simpler times, back when all I wanted to do was get home from school so I could play TF2 and watch star videos. That was close to 10 years now. Jeez
Man with smosh back together I thought this month couldn't get crazier but I was dead wrong, hope you continue doing videos, gorbo grandman is unironically still in my top 10 yt videos
smosh is ultimate soy
i thought you were referring to star playing tf2 / star and jerma as smosh lol

It's always a pleasure to see this channel active again! Been watching you on twitch, but this more edited content is something I very much appreciate as well.
I really hope you and Jerma do a video or stream together for TF2 again. For old times sake
they’re streaming it together tomorrow!
your videos got me through hard times when I was in my Highschool days, now I'm graduating from my pre-med course and seeing this. love you man, so nostalgic.
I always wished each video of your basically series was longer, they are so funny to me and I re-watch them constantly to this day. So excited to hear another one is coming!
You and tf2 were such an important part of my early teens, can’t express how happy this makes me
yeah same!
Interesting that STAR came back when Jerma also came back.
It's surreal to see you return after so long, and I'm glad that you have decided to play TF2 again, especially after so long. I unfortunately quit a little while ago for a myriad of reasons, but it'll be interesting seeing you make content for the game again in some form if at all. A lot's changed, and there's new ideas.
a 'myriad' of reasons... i see what you did there.
I watched you when I was growing up . This is so nostalgic to see
Yup same. Can't believe I'm 25 now lmao.

21 now. crazy to think we all used to be apart of this community over 10 years ago and we still all going strong 💪🏼
I first started watching your and Jerma’s videos in 2013 with my brother when we were 13 and 9. We’re 23 and 19 now. I thought I was hallucinating when I saw a notification for a new Ster video
Honestly I'm just glad that you as well as others can still have fun with this game again.
I NEVER THOUGHT THIS DAY WOULD COME
You and TF2 were such a large part of early gaming days and I definitely miss it. I remember first beginning to play TF2 on a laptop and using a clipboard for a mousepad in my room. Now I’m an adult and wanting to relive all that.
Brings me so much memories seeing you play tf2 again, so glad to see you back. Now we need you and Jerma playing together
Jerma and Star are streaming TF2 together as I write this comment btw
@@BIadelores nice, thank you
Happy to see some Ster back!! Im glad youre having some fun with the game again :)
When the world didnt expect Star to return, he casually returns after 4 years with quality milk
why are you everywhere.
I could not believe my eyes when I saw the notification for this video
almost dropped my phone
I just want to say thanks for making my childhood just that much better with your videos. The videos you made when I was a kid will always hold a special place in my heart. Keep on keepin on star.

Was really nice to see this, I have some friends that play TF2 and I think you've perfectly explained the appeal of these older games honestly
I know you had a rough go of it and people were being rude about you not playing TF2, so you coming back even briefly is a welcome surprise. Good to see you again. 😀
It is super sweet in my opinion to see you playing tf2 again lately, this update even if it wasn't much
Even if it's veterans and the strive for nostalgia
TF2 deserves to be FUN for everyone
Makes me smile that you've been enjoying it again as well, I'm sorry you got ddossed a bunch the last time you had streamed it but I'm super grateful the community had been pretty swell for you lately.
Really cool to see! Even if it winds up being a one time thing, that's okay! Star_ is the GOAT
We missed you STAR! I’m a whole grown man now
With all that cynical for show personality I remember you for, I wasn't really expecting you to be one of the only people left to rememember the value of fun in TF2, and games as awhole, and to not be swept by the comptetetive fewer. It's as surprising as it is heartwarming.
It's good to hear you back
There is nothing that could make me happier than knowing you simply enjoy the game again.
man what kind of nostalgia inducing vid is this
I don't care about what you play or don't, you're an entertaining person nonetheless. *YOU* are the content, it's always been like that, it was the case back when I started watching you in 2013 and it still is. I will admit this is a nice dose of nostalgia, reminds me of better, simpler days. Good times.
This is absolutely crazy 😮 the nostalgia is so real
It is surprising how many people think he just up and disappeared.
Well, technically from this channel yes, but he has a secondary channel (shown in his channel tab) and streams pretty regularly (just whatever he wants to play).
Ive loved Ster ever since I can remember my childhood, I remember you as Nicht_. I remember when you loved the "plasma" weapons, you inspired me so much that I played tf2 for hundreds of hours. Your viedoes made my early teen years. You made me love owerwatch 1 and you will always have a huuuge place in my heart. You made my childhood-early teens. You are one of mye GOATS of all time, and I hope the best for you and yoru fute
It's funny how Star used to screech about how TF2 needed comp and needed skill based matchmaking and now it lacking those (except supposedly it has them :D with meat your match) it's part of the nostalgia? LMAO.
This is the most refreshing video I've watched in a decade. Thanks, ster. I hope you keep enjoying what you're playing and making.
