  • 20 minutes of shamanic drumming in the traditional format with a "callback" at the end - a change in rhythm that alerts you to the moment when it's good to draw yourself back to where you are physically and return to the material world.
    1. Cleanse the space you're in. If you don't have a preferred way of doing this - just map out a circle around where you're going to be lying and set an intention in your mind for that spaced to be cleansed and made safe.*
    2. Write down the question you would like help with and decide who you would like to ask for help and which world you would like to go to to seek it. The Upper World is the world of information. The Middle World is the world as it is. The Lower World is the world of feeling and healing.
    3. Once you're clear about where you're going, who you're going to see, why you're going to see them cover your eyes and get comfortable.
    4. As the drumming begins, state your affirmation 3 times, "i.e. I'm going on a journey, to The Upper World to meet my Spirit Helper/ Higher Self/ All those who seek to guide me towards my higher purpose to ask "What are my next steps to resolving x?"."**
    5. Go to a place in your mind that feels like a good starting point for a journey and allow your mind to take you through to your desired destination.
    6. Honour the images that come to your mind and the thoughts that come into your head and sensations that arise in your body.
    7. Record these by dictating them as you journey whilst with a recording device running - or attempting to remember what you've seen as soon as your journey ends.
    8. When you hear the callback drumming, prepare to return and ask the one/ ones who you visited what they would have you do next to integrate what you've learned into your life - and if there's anything more they would like you to do for them.
    9. Come back and either analyse the audio recording you've made of yourself - or write down all the notes you can remember from your journey for analysis.
*Even if you're doing this purely for therapy and don't actually believe in other realms - this is a very important thing to begin with, as you're communicating to your unconscious that you've made this space safe - and it's therefore free to let go.
**NB from video creator - I found this technique extremely helpful when grieving for a friend who had just died. Being able to visit them and interact with them again, brought up many difficult and unusual visions - but I found that at the end of my journey, I'd been taken much further through the healing process than I could have expected to get otherwise. So it isn't just Spirit Helpers/ Your Higher Self/ Your Right Brain, etc. that you can seek out - it's also very much Ancestors and loved ones who're no longer with us.

Thank you! I lost the password to my meditation app and you have no idea how hard it is to find real shamanic drums for journeying on TH-cam. 💜🙏🏻

So, I asked a question, started meditating, after 2 mins headaches started, there was a constant image of a monkey in front of my eyes, then I got nauseous and stopped meditating at the 11th minute. I don't know if I did well, I never did a shamanic trip, but I felt very strange. 🤔

Thank you for sharing. Unfortunately I was disturbed by the emphasis on every 4. th beat.

Ah, yes - thanks for this thought. When I get a chance I'll have to make one without that emphasis so people can go with the better one for them. 🙏🏼

Well, things are as they are, no as we think they should, or must be.
Learning acceptance in outer world is first step in accepting our inner world. Don't waste the chance.
Forget your backgrownd in music, don't be in mind cheking what happends. Some times we travel to our guides tolook for advice instead of being in our heath.

@@KerryMac I admire the first your capacity of absorve and avoid impact like the cane in the wind, but sometimes we just need a slap in our face. She needs, and you too.
