why does device manager keeps refreshing while i am on the page?
Today we got another windows 10 troubleshooting video on Device Manager Keeps on Refreshing on windows 10. You may also be suffering from Screen Flicker. The refreshing problem is tricky to troubleshoot,and pin point the screen refreshing issue. Remember the problem can be windows explorer keeps refreshing as well.

I disabled all now i cant log in my pin wont work what do i do?
I had this exact problem and the fix was simply shutting off the PC, unplugging the power source, and then hitting the power button to discharge the capacitors. After that, everthing worked normally. Doing a hard shutdown after a crash caused the Bluetooth adapter to bug out just like in this video. I suspect that certain components were not receiving proper voltage thereby causing an undiagnosable equipment failure.

My keyboard kept doing resetting. Luckily, I just pulled it out, waited a couple seconds, and put it back in. Problem solved. Appreciate it!
What worked for me was going into msconfig>services>hide windows services>disabled all remaining services, apply, and it went away. I reenabled them and it stayed fixed. So weird. This video was so helpful though thanks you.
I do remember there were corrupt system files too, scannow was brilliant.
I dont have a USB connected to my laptop then too a notification appears agin and again saying "USB not identified" and device manager refreshes too I have tried everything bjlut the problem persists
It was my bluetooth adapter/driver. I removed it and scan for new hardware. Had to do it a few times until it stopped. My bluetooth option was also visible in Windows 10 and that fixed that too!

so my issue was the bluetooth on my laptop. It did this when the bluetooth is turned off and also kept resetting in the quick menu, vanishing and appearing repeatedly. Turning it on remains normal. Now it wont even let me turn it off. If i hit the switch in the BT settings, the switch disappears and remains active.
Have you found the fix for this problem? I'm having the same problem as well

It was bluetooth for me too. I just disabled it.
@@mn396-p9s mine fixed itself. But if it didnt, it would be an issue as I use a BT mouse and headphones.
Yeah it legit seems to be that it is the Bluetooth but I dunno man... It went away and then it came come back when I tried using my wireless headphones
You had me clean boot and now I can't log back into my computer. Everything at start up is gone. No password. No face recognition and no pin. Thanks a lot. Everything is gone.

I fixed it about 3 days after this post. I was trying to reset computer a couple days back in safe mode but my computer required a access code. I can't remember how I got the code. Either google search or calling best buy where I bought the computer. I put in my about 34 character code and I opened my computer. Then did system restore on a previous save point

Thank you for the great explanation. On me, the issue was the NAS on the network. Needed to reattach the harddrive and fixed the issue.

Hi Folks, there is a faster way than re-enabling services one at a time. Use a 'binary search'. Turn half back on. If problem comes back, turn half of that lot back off. Problem gone? It's in the half you turned off. Not gone? It's in the other half. Brian alludes to this approach. Using it would let you process over a hundred services in seven sessions. In fact you could check over one million in twenty attempts. Fortunately that's not needed! BobUK.
I was thinking the exact same process when he said to check them all. Question: when I disable all or half, should I pressed 'Apply'? I attempted to and several scattered services remained enabled (checkmarked) after pressing the button. Also, when I disabled ALL and restarted, it disabled the service to enter my PIN and log in. So I had to Shift+Restart, and use a Restore Point. I wish I knew what service enables that part so I could work around it easily.

I was having problems with programs, some drivers and now the device manager. You've made me notice the common denominator for all my problems was my mouse when connected, thanks for the video, I'm never buying this one again

Its a horrible problem
this happened after updating my damn bios. my bluetooth speaker is acting up. it always keeps playing that hardware insert/eject sound and none of your methods worked... Also device manager is acting up like this
Very detailed fix but to complicated for a senior citizen to do thanks for the video though . Hp warranty ends in July need to resolve this problem soon.

1:55 - Scanhealth is better at checking compared to checkhealth. Checkhealth reported no issues on my system until I ran scanhealth.
I run all 3 and did not fix issue like I said in video.
@@Britec09 I'm sorry, but that is incorrect. You ran "scannow" and "checkhealth" in your video. Where in this video do you say or show you ran the command "scanhealth" ? It is a different command than "scannow". Hence the reason why I recommended using it as you did not.
Hey how are ya? Some of my applications are starting when I am starting my laptop. But they are not listed in startup and nor in the registry editor. Chrome and uTorrent. How can I fix this?
I have the same problem, and all the solutions doesn't solve my issue. Please Upload another video on this. Even After i did Data Factory reset of my PC, the problem still persist with an error sound. The sound keeps beeping after every 4 second together with the "Device Manager" page refreshing.

Had this problem. My fix: Remove wireless printer connection. It seemed like a printer was "pinging" my PC, causing it to refresh the connected devices. At least that's how I understand it (which is probably wrong, but it did work)
So, one more available and pretty easy solutions.

Shyon Panicker what fixed mine was turning off network sharing.
@@shyonpanicker I found a solution! You can reenable the setting in Network Sharing, then go to your device manager and find the drive called "Microsoft Device Association Root Enumerator" and disable it. It solved my FPS problems and my refreshing problem on device manager.

I just plugged in an external hard drive into my 3.1 port and drives do not show up and the device manager keeps refreshing, i unplug the device and the device manager stop flashing, what is the issue with my 3.1usb port, any help appreciated?

when I am put in my new terabyte 1000 Mbps wireless wifi adaptor ( wireless N usb adaptor ) then my adaptor is connecte and as well as disconnect ( shown in device manager ) continuosly....

I followed your video step by step as best as I could and I still have the issue!!! If it helps, just recently my bluetooth stopped working despite my mobo having onboard Bluetooth 4.2 compatibility. I wanna say around the same time that went out is when I started experiencing device manager problems. Computer specs are as follows: Ryzen 1700x, ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac mobo, GTX 1070 Ti, 16 gigs of GSkill Trident Z RAM. Im kinda desperate for a fix, I do use my bluetooth peripherals often and its driving me crazy. Any further help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

This is also exactly what happened to me. That's what brought me to this video. My Bluetooth suddenly stopped working, I can't even go to settings and turn Bluetooth on anymore, the on/off button is also gone. And as soon as that happened the device manager started flickering like in this video. I tried a few things last night and nothing worked. What did you do to solve the problem?

It's going to sound crazy, but the solution for me was unplugging the computer from the wall, then pressing the power button 2-3 times. after the computer is shut down and even after it's unplugged, some capacitors retain power. pushing the button 2-3 times gets the rest out (you can actually hear it happening it you have speakers plugged in). I found this solution online during my big search, can't remember if it was a youtube video or forum, i think it was a youtube video. I'll see if i can find the it.
Tried the clean boot and then couldn't access my computer. It said "something happened and your PIN isn't available." There was no way to get in so I had to do a system restore. Device manager is still refreshing

None of this worked. Apparently the bluetooth driver update had an issue. It's fixed now
My Firefox tabs keep crashing with the gah error also tabs are always auto refreshing when I switch between them I have tried auto block refresh in the config settings and it still does this, any idea how I can rectify this

Hello Bri, I've been following your channel for awhile now and I've been meaning to ask you if you're familiar with this problem. I got an error message that doesn't seem to have a fix. It reads on the top, sihost.exe - System warning, and in the middle there's the yellow exclamation triangle saying Unknown Hard Error. Have you seen or heard of it and do you know if there is a fix? I believe it may have happened during an update. My computer is completely useless.

Well… this didn’t work. RIP my hard drive.
so yeah disabling everything on boot in msconfig disables internet access and makes you have to login with your microsoft account password as the PIN I normally used was disabled.
So I had to hack myself back into my own fucking computer in the command prompt of a windows ISO I had on USB by activating an another administrator account so I could enable everything on boot again to get internet access again so that I could reset my microsoft account.
MAYBE worth mentioning. Y'know?
