Never let this song fade. 2024!!
Butcher Babies did a good cover of this.
He'll yeah
@@toysoldier46552pp😊❤😊p0pl
It wont...
Word up
The riff, the melodies, the outfits, the vibes...there isn't anything more early 2000s than this video.
This album came out while I was in Iraq on my second deployment. I only had a burnt CD and walkmen. I'd come home and drink tell the next deployment, 7 combat combat deployments later wow. This song brings me back to a dark scary place. Drugs weren't an option, so I drank myself to sleep. 4 yrs sober, and I'll never forget the darkness I have locked away in myself.
Thank you for your service!!
4 years sober! Fuckin a that's a hell of an achievement. Best part is we never have to go back to that bullshit. -fellow sober person
Thank you for your service and glad you're sober!
Reminds me of high school, when this song was on every burned CD, and it was always a terrible sounding 128Kbps download from KaZaa.
+Erix7810 you blew my mind with the KaZaa drop i just recall limewire after napster
+Steve Banks Omg same! I remember Napster, then Bearshare (never used but was aware) then limewire and frostwire haha
+Erix7810 Just like the quality of the audio in this video. Get that 1411kb/s DOG
+Erix7810 My shit was from limewire, CDQ. (Still got a virus tho...)
+Erix7810 Should have used LimeWire lol... jk yea almost everything was low quality back then. Kids now these days are spoiled.
Sean explains that in this song word "drugs" can mean anything you're living for - no matter, drugs, alcohol, relationship, any activity. And that he himself is not a drug user, but for him it is music. So, I loved it!..
He sold out tho like everyone else... Wake up dumbass
Ronnie Dunlap what do you mean? Sean is thriving, touring everywhere making new music. SES forever 🤘
If you think he doesn’t get high you’re trippin lol
It was a line he knew would sell. And it worked. But maybe its a little insensitive since mostly 18yo liked this when it came out.
@@ronniedunlap9789 he didn't sell out. Still touring. Saw him at Midland.
Smile empty soul, crossfade, puddle of mudd, limpbizkit, linkin park, POD, those were the days baby still listening 2021.
2022 still blasting this classic banger at full volume 💯
Right there with ya brother

My buddy Tyler Delrose is their drummer now! I taught that fucker how to drink!
Is this nick wolf from Michigan??
Anyone remember when this video would play EVERY DAY on FUSE? Man, good times.
Edit: oh wow, was not expecting replies to a post from 6 years ago. This song still slaps 🎸
It got a lot of play on MTV2 back when it was music videos all day.

Fuse was great early in the mornings and after school. Time flying hope your doing well and still jamming this.
Yes this song is great.... so is breath by seven channels
This was a fucked up time in my life.
Leads me towards a feeling of a dark sort of bittersweet nostalgia when I hear this.
I know the feeling you’re describing. Like seeing the battlefield you survived, from up on a hill years later.
Seriously man. I remember driving when the sun was coming up because I had been up all night at a rave and this song was in the radio. Those were some seriously dark times in my life. A roller-coaster. Extreme highs on top of the world fallowed bu extreme despair
Call the wambulance
Kind of the whole meaning of the song too
I used to drink and listen to this song. Now I don't drink and I don't miss being like but this song will always be so so good. Hell its 5am.
I miss this era so hard.
Agreed

Same 1990 on the money
@@ML-ks2lj I had a dream last night that I was in a house I had never been in, in the living room sitting in my underwear and a gorgeous girl walked in and started folding laundry and singing this song to me acapella, then she climbed on top of me and started making out with me. Weirdest part is, I am 36 and I haven't heard this song or thought about it in over a decade. Suffice to sat it was a awesome dream.
@@motorman85 strange things with dreams is if you dream about a person you actually have seen that person at some point in time in your life even if you don't remember them. Last dream I had was actually like looking into a fast flowing river with all the flat spots and swirls and stuff only the water was actually every face I had ever seen in my life, people I knew people I have remembered and strangers that I don't even know or really remember meeting it was crazy
I was 14 when I listened to this song. Now I'm 25. I used to be so emotional and angry. Now when I listen to this, I just think about how I've gotten so much better. I'm actually happy now.
Sugar Skulls its always good to hear someone has found some happiness mate!
Cheers man. Glad you got out. I'm still working on it 15 years later.
Sugar Skulls I am more anxious now. Life doesnt get better, only gets worse.

90's kid checking in. Still a fucking banger. Haven't listened to Smile Empty Soul in probably 15 years and still know every word to this album. Silhouettes really hits different. Cheers
Turning 38 this year, seems like it was yesterday when this song came out. Early 2000s a great time, indeed!!
This will always hold a place in my heart in some nostalgic way. My formative years may have been dominated by heavier tunes, but when tracks like this broke through, I always knew it was because the song came from some place real. Thanks for the memories guys.
To everyone listening to this song, don't ever let someone else tell you you are not worth it. You are worth it and you can do it.
no i'm not
Ive survived the 2000’s growing up, now ims stronger than I’ve ever been. This is this song that helped me through the dark times

*tht moment when you hear a song and realize that youre no longer a teenager, youre 22 and this felt like a lifetime ago
22 is still hella young, bro. You have noooooooo idea. Of course, I thought I was getting older when I was 22. So silly
@@token555 considering you don't know him or what he might have experienced in that time, to say he has no idea is very ignorant.
Experiences aren't measured by age.
He could have hit 50 years of bullshit before even turning 15 years old. Its is subjective from person to person.
It's like me saying, " you're probably in your 40's. You're still so young, YOU have no idea what life entails."
Some people hit 70 and still have no idea, some people grasp this world in adolescence/teen years.
Respect his view of his own experience.
I was 22 when this song came out climbing up in my own band. This song reminds me of frat parties and keg stands. Now I’m 40 and the last shows I played were with Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean and it makes me wonder what happened to the guy when this song came out. I feel like we don’t get nostalgic things anymore. When everything is pop culture nothing is. Now that you’re 26, you’re not old, you’re still in the prime of your life and you’ll probably be nostalgic about a song from this year in 10 years. It’s a viscious cycle. But enjoy it.
No imagine finding this song when u where 18yrs old and now ur 34
Great song I can remember being in high school jamming down to this song hell that was 21 yrs ago and it still sounds awesome!!!
I remember listening to this entire album on Repeat while playing hookie from Middle School and reading through the entirety of The Outsiders.
This album is oddly fitting for reading that book.
REST IN PEACE TYLER SEBASTIAN HAWAY. TURNED ME ON TO THIS SONG MANY YEARS AGO. DIED 4 MONTHS AGO. I WILL MISS YOU FOREVER LITTLE BROTHER. I probably shouldn't listen to shit that makes me think of you but maybe I will see you soon in Valhalla.
And then we'll sing together again
All my heart,

Rock back then was way better 🔥🔥👌🤟
Woow a Masterpiece! Remember listening to Jesus is a... something back in 2003 on Bandit radio here
For all the addicts drunks find a way. Take your place make yourself known. When you burn an crash fuck it all. Get the back up dust yourself off. You are priceless. Every life has no value. You are my brother my sister. I love you. Been sober well really sober for 2yrs. I still drink beer but I don't smoke or hit the bottle ever night an mornin. I got hope. I understand.
funny how now after 15 years sober this song used to hit home... someties it helped sometimes it was an excuse but at the end SES helped through bad times
i miss this music. im 30 yrs old and music today is dead. i know of no bands that have this sound or emotion. music today is so fake
Berserker 117 I agree man although I do like bmth new album called that's the spirit, other than that music's been lame
Berserker 117 listen to "figure you out" by citizen
awsumromey will do, thanks man!
There is still alot of really good stuff out here, man. I love this band, but there is so much good music yet to be heard. Listen to Plan Three, All that Remains, Breaking Benjamin, Evans Blue, 30 Seconds to Mars, Shinedown... LONG list of kick ass musicians still doin' their thing. I'm turning 50 years old this year, started my love of music with Kiss, Led Zep, etc... rock and roll is in my freaking BLOOD!
Haha mine too karen! Yeah as a kid i was rocking out to boston and van Halen. I love breaking benjamin, some of those bands i have not heard of. I will check them out. Thanks for thr reccomendations!
Shocked this doesn't have ten times as many views. This band was the shit when I was in high school in 2006. Too many fuckers out there listening to bieber and wiz kalifa to grasp the crisp sound of these classics.
I like wiz Khalifa but I'm 23 now and heard this song when I was in about 5th-6th grade and can always go back to this song when I need feel something again. I'm not sure why this kind of music hit me as a kid now that I'm an adult I sill wonder why this music caught my attention but it definitely helps see things through
because most rock speaks the feelings of teenage kids who have more on their plate than anyone at their age should ever have to deal with.
i didnt have the worst childhood although it couldve been alot better but youre right i loved the angry aggressive music it was an outlet for whatever i was dealing with at the time
Jake Haacke That's sooo true
I totally forgot about this song and this band until just now. Thank you.
Song randomly popped into my skull. Had to hit up TH-cam for a fixin.
Im 35 now. It flew by.
God, I've rediscovered my high school years. How did I ever let them disappear??? ROCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Time to rediscover it buddy!
Dude still blasting this. 2024. Ran across an old "bic pen" drawing of lyrics going through a box today. Decided to post.
Love this band! I know this was the one big hit but they had so many other bad ass songs and Sean has come out with some new stuff lately, it’s pretty good too. Definitely worth checking out!
I took a long break. But I’m back to it. I don’t want to go back in time, but I’m doing for the love.
Hmu any time I'm always chasing the bottom
God I miss this time. Bring it back please!
GOOD OLD DAYS💔 high school anthem miss those days..
I loved this band in high school
I wish they coulda blown up more... Sean is still making music... One of the nicest dudes too...
I was 8 when this came out and its funny that I remember the song so well. I never understood the meaning until now going back to an old favorite song that I found randomly tonight. Deep song.. So much better than the mainstream bullshit on the radio. What happened to music?

Same -_-
***** I KNOW !! Come on Spotify your suppose to be superior, but you don't have this song.
Buy the album at best buy, these guys don't make any many from you streaming their music on spotify .
Heartless909 false. They do make money for each song streamed.
Popular artist do make money cus they get millions and millions of views . But according to this Band they only get a penny for every 1000 streams so that's 10 dollars for every million streams. Technically they r making money but they r getting screwed though
Last day of 2022 and still listening to this. I miss the 80's through 2003 was my greatest years. I'm 43 now

seen em, so sick. vocals so much raspier and energetic! Small show in AZ
2024 here!!! Hope this band is doing well. 🙏
As a musician myself, I find my way across plenty of "music elitist" crowds, and this song, unsurprisingly, garners barely any attention from serious music listeners. I gotta say, though, this shit is a certified jam. I'm surprised it never had much of a legacy or ended up as some sort of of-its-era anthem, but such is life. Certainly nothing particularly inventive, but it's a great, underappreciated gem. Good for this band for sticking with it for the love of the game in recent years too!
2023 still a timeless classic
Man...this and silhouettes are a caricature of where we're at now.
2023 still a banger
