Thank you so much for reacting to Steve Vai! He is one of my favorite guitarists and I just bought a ticket to see him in concert for the eighth time. You're right; he is a very cool person as well as a brilliant musician. I've met him several times and even got to jam with him and his band at Vai Academy 5.0 guitar camp in 2019. Joining him on stage here are long-time drummer Jeremy Colson and second guitarist Dave Weiner. Guest musicians on this tour include, on bass, the incredible Bryan Beller of the Aristocrats, and on violin Alex DePue and Ann Marie Calhoun. Although not one of his best songs in my humble opinion, you might also enjoy watching Teeth of the Hydra just to see him play a custom-made, one-of-a-kind triple-neck guitar with a small harp built into the lower part of the body. He wrote and recorded the original song one piece at a time and then had to figure out how to perform it live. I love your reactions and I look forward to the next one!
With the incomparable Ann Marie Calhoun in violin... she has played with everyone, including Hans Zimmer, alongside the other violin prodigy; Rusanda Panfili and the cellist extraordinaire; Tina Guo... yeah... the ladies can not only play, they look good doing it too 😊
"Where the Wild Things Are" & "Where the Other Wild Things Are" are 2 of the best concert DVD's ever 🤘 My personal favorites are "Firewall with band intros" and "All About Eve" 🤯
Aahhh. . my favorite song in 25/16 !!! Yup, that is the main time signature. For music nerds try 13/8? Wait . . .feels weird second measure. . .Third measure its definitely off. . . . Oh wait. .5/8 3/16 6/8. Locked. That's what happens when you join Zappa's band at 18y was it? Love Steve and you guys too! Great reactions! Thank you.🙃😩😎😁
Helene here…….FANTASTIC!….he has some of the same guitar god charisma that Page did at his best. Dang…..those “rock gods” hit right when I was in my early 20’s and I became totally imprinted on that whole image as the personification of the sexy male. Even now, in my 70’s, It still does. Hey, I’m not dead yet!! I can still look! 😂😜
Steve is unhampered by the fixed positions on the fretboard. He almost dances around the established frequencies ad nauseam, but he is certainly a master in a class of his own. Not for the faint hearted though. Thanks again, Andrei and Dominika
Hey man, I love Hot Potatoes and I love the Guitar and I really, really love Anne Marie Calhoun on the Violin so this Video has everything I ever wanted! Cheers!
Andre, I understand completely about your comparison to Jack Black….it’s the expression! Guitar players, when they’re REALLY going, look almost like they’re in pain. I’m sure sometimes they are, as injured fingers can be a common occurance.
try his proféssor satriani in surfing whit the alien live in sao paulo kkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, its real vai is a guitarhero in the spot , only hendrix can take this man

More Vai. It’s good for the mind and soul.
He is the Master of the guitar.
Seen him live so many time and he's mesmerising. 🎸
You should watch him with a full orchestra
Steve Vai is a beast. Love his song Juice

Vai is phenomenal……of course…..but holy COW, the BASS! Geez what a deep, nasty groove… that drove the song.

Well, the virtuoso speaks again. He's a musical genius and a national treasure. Frank Zappa called him his "little Italian virtuoso". Enough said.
This clip is from the concert video called "Where the Wild Things Are." It's here on TH-cam and well worth a watch.
the jack black reference 🤣 so true
