Nah... its just common sense and more attainable
I’m 22 and I’d rather have this than a hypercar. The surprise on the face of people when I see one in traffic and I tell them it can out accelerate most Ferraris in the real world.
It’s so much more comfortable and usable than a super car/hypercar. I’d probably rather go for the S6 evant tho, but I’m an Audi guy.

Mercedes has kinda been smart with the grill on this if you think about it. They've mirrored the qualities of their suv line to make it more appealing to a market saturated with suv buyers. But also giving it qualities of their amg gtr.

Its not just you, a wagon with power is the best car one can have. Volvo V70R, 855R, Audi Rs6 and of course Mercedes wagons from the E55 to nowadays E63s. Thats whats up.

Does this do well on the highway every day? Like, 100km daily?
I can tell you how mine does on the German Autobahn with about 1500km weekly. You can definitley compare the Air suspension to a CLS or an 8 series BMW, it is sooo comfortable and the acoustic windows do a great job too. Great car for long distance.
I'm not a big diesel guy but diesels just feel right for long-distance driving. if i was driving 100 kilos a day i'd want a diesel

How did you find the interior quality? My bosses E53 wagon 2019 is so squeaky he has had it in the shop like 3 times for that and he wants to now sell it and never own a merc again

I love the sound but personally i like the E43
the e43 is not available anymore in my country maybe in the us ? but there is now the e53 which i think is better (more hp) and is the best option for a relatively economical and very good perf.
Yea the E53 also has that nice V6 sound
Personally can’t stand the brown interior as this is what strayed me away from a beautiful 2019 e63s, but this has everything you could possibly want for luxury, comfort, and class!
Why do they only make 2 of the quad exhausts functional? It always looks strange to me - though it’s only noticeable on starts on a cold day I guess.
I think the other two will open in Sport Exhaust mode.

I wish automakers would stop using fake exhaust tips molded into the rear bumper cover with a plain dump pipe sitting right behind them. It's things like this, and artificial engine noises into the cabin via the speakers that completely negate the cache that brands such as Mercedes are supposed to have built up over the years. It just strikes me as cheap. Especially on what is supposed to be the 'enthusiast version' (in this case, AMG) of a car. I could kind of let it slide if it were a base model, or a Hyundai, but come on - this is supposed to be the premium/luxury/performance version from a high-end car manufacturer, meant for people who appreciate such things, not some budget econobox pretending to look more upscale than it actually is meant for someone who treats a car like an appliance.
Bottom line: If I'm paying this kind of money for a performance car, I want real exhaust tips, not some chrome-trimmed holes in the plastic bumper.
i heard that the reason on those very fast car is that at very high speed the exhaust is dilating so it looks weird ( dunno if it's real but it makes sense when you know that it can go 300 kph)
They will continue to produce wagons for the next generation and the one after if I recall correctly, so we’re still getting them until the end of the decade. The announcement is a little misleading.

How do these fast wagons compare to the fast SUVs in terms of driving experience?
Lower centre of gravity so better in general.
Dream but the w211 and w212 are in my opinion way cooler.
For me the w213 from 2017 looks the best.
Does the 2015 E63 feel more solid than this? I some how feel this gen E class kind of cheap
it's very solid (those cars in my country are taxi or vtc) because the reliability is good and quality very good, i just know that the face lift one like in the video still a big step up in terms of quality interior and exterior compared to the pre facelift. But really except the cheap a/b/cla other are really solid

i know that steering wheel is a bit offset on some RHD Mercedes but i don't think it is on the LHD because i already sat in some mercedes even an e class like this behind the wheel (a sedan pre fl, a coupe face lift and a sedan facelift) and i think it's not

I was a "BMW guy" too not long ago and didn't like Mercs until I decided I don't want to spend another 7k$ on a 4th N57 engine that will AGAIN crap its bearings anytime I go near the throttle on my f10 535d... So I decided to check a C350 with the OM642 engine... Now I'm a "Merc guy" and I'm not buying another BMW.
I’m a big 90s/early 2000s BMW guy, but I love the W211 E320 cdi with the OM648. That engine is legendary, and it’s such a nice car to drive.
@@pascutia I honestly don't know much about Mercs what made me buy the w204 with the OM642 engine is the reputation among mechanics. I also know that the older Merc engines were bulletproof. I've been a BMW fan since I was little but I lost faith after the horrific experience... I'm still paying debts for a car that I no longer have...
