For me as an impact player dessers can be a useful option for us off the bench. But as a starter hes way off the mark of being the required quality that we need for a rangers starting number 9. His lack of link up play and overall play outside of scoring is what costs us, combine that with his erratic finishing then you have a clearer picture where he is ability wise. We need a much better striker and hopefully we get one before the window shuts.

Much better last night and dominated the game. Jeftes crossing was excellent and big Dessers workrate deserved his goal. We have some extremely blinkered and unsupportive fans within our support. Some folk are traditionally glass half full which shows in the comments. Nothing will please them.
I think we'll pick him up in january on a pre contract for absolutely no money, free transfer. Sima already stated he loves the club so he'll jump at the chance to come back over other offers from different clubs.

Rangers are more suited to European games but they struggle with the physicality and fight in duels in the Scottish game. The main tactical weakness last night was in leaving DK players unmarked on wide right and giving them a clear run on our left side. Our midfield is inconsistent and is too easily bypassed so we need strengthening in this area asap.

Regardless of whether or not we got a result last night, our fans need to stop complaining and actually support the team. It’s easy to support them when we get a good away draw in Europe, but what happens the next time we drop points in the league? It’ll be back to toxicity again from many fans. This is a rebuild. It won’t happen overnight but the signs are good so far in terms of our new signings showing promise. We have gone from a midfield of Jack/Lundstram/Cantwell/Cifuentes etc to Barron and Diomande who are better but also very young. Our wingers are an upgrade too, and you’d like to think that Propper will be at centre back once he comes in to the team.

Dessers would have been taken off in the 70th minute. But we don’t. Danilo will not be fit enough to make any form of impact until the final part of the season, in my opinion. And Hamza Igamane, well that was 2m used for next season. Don’t see him being used in any games. So if we aren’t going to run Dessers into the ground again, we need to find another number 9 in the coming weeks.

Well said paul, i was amazed by stevies comments on tav, hes miles off the mark. Tav was awful against hearts, he gave the ball away non stop, offered nothing in attack and nothing in defense. Last night kiev only attacked once down tavs side which gave tav an easy night otherwise we would have conceded a few on that side. People need to wake up that tav is old now and miles past his best, its not hate, its just truth.

What a load of pessimistic rubbish. A draw away in a CL qualifier at this stage of the season is a great result. We have lost to far inferior teams than Kiev in the past- like Malmo for example. We got beat comfortably away by USG before we turned it around in the second leg. The midfield is good, at least in central midfield with Diomande and Barron. I agree that we can improve the number ten position, as Lawrence isn’t good enough imo and is more of a squad player. I’m optimistic about the season. There’s still a long way to go but our new signings look like a step up in quality from last season.

We’ve been looking at strikers elsewhere that have scored 20 odd goals a season he’s settled now and will score more than he did last season especially with a couple of decent wingers there… his first touch is superb his second not so much but when he hits them 1st time he normally scores I thought young MacCausland was excellent 👏👏👏nearly scored a belter

Why is Danilo not fit ? He started training at the end of may about 10 weeks ago!
His level of injury was very substantial so i think were taking it as slow as possible to make sure we have him long term and avoid a cortes situation
