I have the hd8 cab for yard work and ice fishing. I found a fiberglass cap so when I am fishing everything is dry and out of the weather. The defender is by far one of the most useful tools I own.

I'm a utility guy used to sliding across the bench seat in my truck instead of climbing in and falling into a bucket seat dreading the moment I'll have to climb out. After watching a customer add $9000 in accessories to his new utility SXS before he even drove it, I'm glad I figured out how important the simple life is after all. Thats 6 years worth of taxes on my property with a 500ft. bass pond. No accessories needed.

I have a 2018 Trail and 2020 6x6 on my ranch. Used every day in extreme conditions. So far one bearing in rear end, one clutch grabbing, and replaced bushings in suspension. Not quite as good as my Honda 420 but they do a lot more work.

These are great machines! Awesome for packing up chairs, bbq and a cooler then heading to the beach. I would buy all after market accessories though and a non can am winch as everyone I know has had their brp (superwinch or Warn) fail after light use.

My old Sportsman 500 with a 4x6ft trailer does a lot more work.

An old fourtrax or bayou 300 with a trailer is the best...

Honestly I'm getting tired of all the TH-cam channels focusing on sxs. I'd like to see the new Mr lineup. The xmr outlanders. The Renes and maybe some kids quads. 3 of us in my family are currently shopping for new units

The reliability on these things is questionable at best. 2000 miles on a 2020 and already a slurry of problems.

Strange. The majority of the comments we get about Can-Ams suggests that most of our viewers are very happy with the reliability of their vehicle. Sounds like yours was built on a Friday.

I live in northern Alberta and i always hear nothing but how reliable they are. My 18' has 1500kms and has 0 issues. I thought that was lots until I talked with farmers and rental companies with 10,000kms+ and have done nothing but brakes and the odd belt. One guy had 16,000km and his only issue was "the front end is probably due for a rebuild"

@@dirttraxtv I have two 2020 Defender Max's and two 2021s in my rental fleet and have had zero issues. The 2020 is pushing 7000 miles already.

I have 3 buddies who each have a XMR version all with +2000 hard miles and the only thing that’s failed is the winches. You might of got a dud.

@@JTwelder. yeah maybe, i was just as surprised . Biggest problem is that it goes into limp mode for no reason. Belt and filter are fine. Just going to take it to the dealer
