The world’s most distinguished jury evaluates the best products of 2023

It’s March 2023, and around 40 design experts meet up in the Ruhr region. Their mission is to find the year’s best products. They are invited by the Red Dot Design Award to test and try out the products and discuss them in detail. Every year, the Red Dot Design Award hosts the competition for product design, which has gained international repute. The evaluation process focuses on ensuring that the jury can get an overall impression of all of the products. As part of this unique international design event, the Red Dot jurors represent roughly 20 different nationalities and assess entries from more than 60 countries. The jurors are selected with internationality in mind. Other criteria used to choose jury members include their independence from the industry and their professional experience. The reliable and accurate work carried out by this carefully curated panel of experts is an important part of the competition.
