I dont think hes ready for it yet. I also dont think Mclaren is ready for it yet. I think theyll both be better prepared next year, but the way things are in f1, sometimes you dont get that second chance thats why its critical to take advantage of whatever you can every race weekend.
Totally agree! I think they will definitely be better off and better prepared after having gone through this year, but like you said that opportunity may not come next year or anytime soon
It’s not a matter of being ready for it or not. What else are you doing there? Don’t all drivers want to be champions? You either have it or not. Norris has been in F1 for 6 seasons, how many more does he need? Sorry but it looks like Norris doesn’t have it. If McLaren has a good car next year, I think Piastri will outshine him.
@martijnmu Norris' 6 years has been in a mid pack car, sometimes worse. I think this was detrimental to his development, i think he became more complacent with finishing mid pack and occasionally on the podium thinking that was good enough. I think this year caught both him and mclaren by suprise, i dont think they realized how good their car was and the trouble that lied ahead for redbull. They struggled this year with strategy with their drivers as well as during the race. Norris has struggled with mistakes, ones that don't mean much when you're fighting for 6th place, but mean a lot more when fighting for first. Next year will be interesting for them, the car should still be competitive. I think Piastri will be ready next year and I think he has the better mindset of the two.
Well done buddy.. Great channel name, good content and you have a calm voice for it. I recommend doing something behind you.. Lights or something. I've subbed so keep up the good work.
During the Mercedes dominance, RBR had to optimize ALL aspects of racing (both on and off track), just to make a chance to win a race. Meanwhile, McLaren was just floundering about, hoping to pick up any scraps (a bit hyperbolic, I know, but still…). When RBR did get the best car, they were ready for it. McLaren is only now starting to optimize, which will cost them this year’s WDC and maybe even next year’s. Seen that Ferrari seems to have found their stride, next year’s WCC will also be tight. And then there is the obvious lack of experience of Lando (and Oscar) in how to race for championships instead of just racing for race wins in F1. Next year will be lit.
RBR did have to optimize all of that during Merc dominance, but they did have their own dominance of the early 2010s to fall back on. So that helped. But of course many things would have changed between 2013 and 2022 so they would have had to re optimize. 2025 is looking like it's going to be so awesome, I just hope we aren't hyping ourselves up too much lol
Technically last year Vegas both quali and race were on the same day as quali started at midnight and the race was 10pm that same day. Due to how weird a quali at midnight is I can understand people not counting it as a Super Sunday but it very much was.
One small thing my friend. Just my humble opinion when you said maybe Ocon and gasliy might not have seen max make the move on them because he got by easy. I believe its more that Max wasn't there race. The knew max is faster. And the 2th and 3rd place to them was a amazing finish so they didn't risk something going wrong.. thanks great calm review. Respect from Ireland 🇮🇪
That ‘late start’ is what McLaren have been doing for years… which only confirms they are not ready. They cant bring a competitive car from day 1 of the season. THATS what proofs they are not ready as a team!! And on strategy and communication they fail too often too throughout the season.
I'm a Max's fan.. but i really dont like the bashing of the other drivers when they just lost fair game... and it doesn't add anything to a more pleasant F1 experience. My advice is to keep it yust to the sport for the fune of the game
Surprised everyone seem to think it's possible to defend better to Max his overtakes... Why they didn't respond? Ever concidered your tyre's create a mist behind you in wet condions? Where are f1 lights located? hint it's not in the front! Thus you see a launch in your mirrors way way later then normal, if at all. And try do a sudden laneswitch to defend in the wet during a corner lol good luck as soon as you even try you lose balance you probably take yourself out of the race..
4:45 maybe they werent defending cause they didnt stand a chance, they were scared allready, Max "kamikaze" verstappen is going in that hole anyways, he is goes anywyas, he a madman, he a badman wicked. Probably they all thought, fok MAx, he is in his own thing, Im just trying to get my own car in one piece to the end, maybe get some points somewhere. No chance, Max in the rain, everybody stands down, hehehe. Lets GO BRANDON !
Bruh, unless this is an attempt at sarcasm, it is not often that I see someone demonstrating his alias as well as you do and shooting himself in the foot with a big heap of sh*t. 🤣 Anyway: Verstappen simply showed he is head and shoulders above this field of losers.
Landi has to grow up if not Piastri will be number 1 at McLaren.
I’ve definitely been feeling a potential shift towards Piastri, but his recent run of form has been a little surprising to be honest
Already is! Landoofus is just another whingeing pom!

Next year Piastri will be WC
@arinpunk that’s a fun prediction!

One of the best break downs I have come across, Great video!
You are too kind! Thank you!

Nice video mate. Subscribed to the channel and I will definitely keep an eye out for your future content.
Thank you! 🙏 means a lot

Ha you are right! I didn’t think of that
Pushing Hulkenberg back into the race should have been allowed as it was the fastest way to resume the race
As much as I would have loved that, it is pretty black and white in the rules that the Marshalls can’t touch it otherwise the car can’t continue

Thanks for the comment! I think that’s definitely a good part of it
This was landos big chance. He lost to many poles on 1 lap. I honestly saying he will never win it now or ever. But Oscar will
I can’t wait to see the Oscar and Lando inter team battle next year and the years to follow. It’s going to be very interesting to see who wins out
Norris got a fine of €5,000 and a reprimand for the extra formationlap...
Which was surprising. I thought there would be more consequences
*not yet*. this 2024 should be a cold shower for lando. beside, if it wasnt for that poor start of mclaren, things would have been more tight
Yea that definitely would have changed things. I wonder what type of gap Lando could have gotten in the first stint had he not been passed by Russel?
@@LasttoF1rst as chaotic as the race was, 20 sc and 15 redflags, everything was possible.... less a ferrari win :(

Max drove top speeds of 315 kmh, Lando did not even come close to those numbers.
Yea I was quite surprised to see them nowhere all weekend
I'm a Max's fan.. but i really dont like the bashing of the other drivers when they just lost fair game... and it doesn't add anything to a more pleasant F1 experience. My advice is to keep it yust to the sport for the fune of the game
I can certainly appreciate and understand that! But, I do think it’s important and interesting to recognize mistakes and analyze driver behaviors

I totally get that, but there was zero movement from the defending cars at all. Not even a half baked attempt to defend it
Lando doesn’t have it!
If he has a competitive car again next year, then I think we will find that out for certain or not!
