The way you mixed it sounded great, and I totally agree on the delays brother that’s how I always used to do my vocals to, makes it sound really full and pro.
this plugin helped me so much. adding this and the ozone 11 eq to my vocal chain is exactly what it needed.
Silk definitely improves the vocal mix and seems better for me. Very interesting how one plugin sounds so good

I set up my mic for the first time last night and this plugin popped up on my Facebook feed, for once it was pretty handy being snooped by Zuc 😅
I use the 'Live' version of plugin lately as a utility tool. Not only does it make me mix vocals faster, but also lower my vocal mix chain from 5-7 plugins to just 1-4. Pretty sweet stuff. 🔥
Kinda like the silk knob on the Neve preamp but with more variations on the coloring…..pretty cool
this is definitely for people who don't already have a set vocal chain and want to get a decent sound without the hassle of learning everything
naw bro I disagree, this is essentially soothe2 or gullfloss. Its adaptive AI eqing, something you can't attain from a static or even dynamic eq. To me its like a smart multiband compressor. This is useful for beginners, pros, and everything inbetween.

I usually don't like advertisements but I can def use the analog cases XTX stands. As far as the Silk, I would probably use it on backing vocals. It sounds pretty cool but seems to get shrill pretty quick.
Any idea why mine won't show in Pro Tools? I've installed and activated it .. It's in my system folders .. but nowhere to be found in Pro Tools ..
Honestly the mix that you had at the beginning with the 2500 the vocals was saying so perfect in the middle and they were way warmer... I feel like this plug-in is just for on the go

this plugin removed my vocalchain i worked with the last years. Now i had to make a new chain but it is so much better then my old one and i need only a half of the plugins i used before! Waves did a great job on this one!!
This is perfect timing! Waves just released a gem that will replace the $200 I was going to spend on Soothe2 for my vocals' frequency taming. Can't wait to try it out!

This could be an answer for me. I can't spend the time to learn how to mix. I just need to make my narrators sound really nice and professional. I create videos from filming to production. To learn the art of vocal sound. Is to huge an undertaking right noe. I need to get content out there.

to me Silk is like the Manny Marroquin Triple d. I put it before my subtractive EQ so it doesn't have to do so much work, plus Silk is dynamic and has pretty intelligent AI. I try to keep it more subtle just to get rid of the muddiness and some of the harshness for the vocals.

It's an ok plugin. I prefer doing the same thing but using the f6 dynamic eq and the rvox and the results are way better

Hard to tell if the plugin is doing much of anything....I think the singer already has a pretty voice ,so I am thinking does she need it? like what if someone can't sing ,but wants to pretend they can sing , so how could this plugin help those singers that can't sing..?
seems like this tool is good for singers that can sing . NOT sure this does much for those that can't sing..
we need to see a side by side comparison of singers & non singers..
otherwise it's a waste of money to buy this plugin..
I think the adage still holds true even in 2023. those modern plugins can't replace bad singing with good singing.. Singing for real is a skill..

I downloaded it and I have mines cracked with cracked waves plugins what you have to do is replace the DLL files and some more shit but I got it back working with the new plug-in aswell !
