Yea especially running a hybrid turbo as that will have more rotational inertia and possibly clipped exhaust blades for better flow which slows it's response untill there is enough flow

You're launching is not good mate. Need to hold more revs at the launch and build up the boost. An average weight passenger wouldn't add 0.7 secs to the 0-60.

@B&B It was a tongue-in-cheek post but I guess we won't know without printout. I had a turbo car of mine on rollers and was peaking very high torque due to boost spike.
My boost leak sounded exactly like that.

almost sounds like the gearbox is on its edge of handling that extra torque from the upgrades
He looks like he need the boost gauge like an s3 and rs3 and you’ll see how you need to build the the boost before letting go of the brake on the launch

Although agree you need to let boost build when using launch control and give it a couple of seconds before letting go of the brake pedal and he would of easily seen a 3.something as you could hear it bogging down. He basically did a 4.1 just planting the throttle which if you then think about it is savage quick for just planting it without the lc doing its job.
That's not fast enough for the power.
My 2011 ttrs pr is 11.27s quater mile and 3.14s to 60mph. Stock turbo stage 2 only. 400hp 500ftlbs
@@Neil-914 bigger displacement and sharper gearing due to dct possiblly. All these hot hatches are quick on the 1/4 due to quick gearing and awd but from 3rd to vmax and from a dig is when they slow down and run out of puff.
@@brucewayne2397 gearing would be similar I'd imagine. Both 7 speed dual clutch boxes. Golf R running that power with 6 speed dual clutch box would be in the high 10s

Crankshaft 1776 a45 does 0 to 60 in 4.2 secs when stock even though people have them down to 4.0 when stock with a good launch. If his turbo wasn’t fucked it would be down in the 3.6 region👍👍

Mehdiuniversal listen to it. I own an a45 with stock hp which is 381hp and the 0 to 60 is 4.2 secs. The turbo also doesn’t sound like that. It’s also not because of tuning because if u think of what a supra turbo sounds like, which pretty much gives the car 80% of its hp if it’s a drag spec car, it doesn’t sound like that.

I was SO CLOSE to buying an A45 as they are beautiful looking and sounding Cars but the interior really lets it down! Went for a F30 BMW.
Whistle sound is the induction kit. Either set up wrong or the way it's taking in the air or a small leak

Bit of a shame the inside is bog standard, no electric seats, no sunroof and what is with that gear knob?
Some people choose a low spec so it doesn’t add weight.. electric seats heavy.. sun roof heavy and weight up top where you don’t want it.. that maybe why it’s a bit faster than other a45 cars :)

Was thinking about getting a 2014/2013 A160/A180 petrol for a first car and would buy and install the A45 body kit etc. Bucket seats, maybe a different interior. Then straight pipe the car and install a different exhaust, what do youse think?

I’d rather hear about real proof and time slips at an actual drag strip rather than from an app.
This is how you can reliably compare cars IMO.
Pretty much as accurate as it gets.. iv ran mine against the clock at Santa pod and the times are identical
@@officially_gassed did you ever reveal those times? :-) id guess with an auto/dsg etc, nothing else to do than let the car do the work once moving. so you can see consistant times at least, all in the launch granted.
