    We pay the extra price at our local gun stores as it is paying paychecks to local people.
    The other day we paid $88.99 locally at a hardware store for a 38 cal / 357 DIE set that was $49.00 on Amazon with Free Shipping.
    We only buy online or from out of town if we can not find it locally. We would prefer our local businesses stay in business.
    ALSO: Hodgdon website has all the loader info for free HODGDON and WINCHESTER and one other powder brand.
    He also had 243 ammo which I have not found anywhere and he sold it to us for $40 for a 20 round pack, so now we have forty 243 rounds instead of 20.
    We left and went by Walmart and they had two 20 round packs of 30-06 we picked up for $17 a box and then went to a flea market and a guy sold us 4 boxes of 30-06 for $20 each.
    He also sold us a Bucket O Ammo in 22 LR that I think was 1,400 rounds for $100 and he gave me 8 more 30-06 rounds for free.
    We left there and went by Academy Sports and purchased a Stevens Savage 12 Gauge Tactical shotgun with pistol grip for $199 and they sold us 350 rounds of 9mm for $69.
    We went back two days later and purchased a ROSSI 22 LR for $99 on a holiday sale and they sold us 2 boxes 525 count each 22 LR rounds for $32 each.
    We ask God to help us find locally what he wants us to buy and he helps us find it and if it cost more we pay it as it helps the local employees get a paycheck.
    We are not rolling in money, in fact we usually live paycheck to paycheck with $100 to $300 left over to get by on.
    We just happen to always have enough to buy what we need and want and enough left over to help others.
    ALSO: Happy Holidays actually means Happy Holy Days, instead of Holy Days they spell it Holidays.
    So, Holy Days or Christmas is fine either way.. Christmas means To Eat Christ as Mas means Meal or Eat.
    "I give you my blood to drink and my Flesh to eat..."

    Sad sad sad . I’m
    Just now getting into this . I decided to document this for research purposes .
    You paid $30/1000 Winchester primers they are $89/1000 now .
    I paid $69.99 /1000 for cheddite and $36.99 1lb of e3 powder on clearance .
    Federal podium wads are $18/500
    Shot is $60 for 25 lbs
    Don’t forget the $23 hazmat fees !

    Yes you can get the components in 2018. Here in the 2021 they don't have it in stock. and you are very luck to find them when you do.

      Right. It's tough these days. I'm using daisy steel bbs for pellet guns.

  • @showproja
    @showproja 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You're right the hazmat fee. It's a joke! I just ordered two boxes of primers from Bass Pro. Delivered to my house it was going to be like $30 more so I just had it shipped to the Bass Pro Shop near me and put on will call. I live near Knob Creek Range (biggest machine gun shoot in the USA now, I believe) and they are getting out of the reloading business. ALL of their reloading supplies are 1/2 off. I've been getting Steel, e3, Longshot, 700x, 800x and more for like $14 per bottle! They're all out of shot and primers now.

      Yea man exactly its ridiculous Obama put a higher tax on anything with ammunition when he was in office.

    HS6 $28 a pound in 2019 😄. If it was same price today I would by 20lb without blinking. Same goes for primers. $80-100 for a box of 1k primers now. There is no shortage of material now but we have massive inflation that our gov is telling us is only 3% 🤦🏻‍♂️. I have been reloading since 2010 and it was so much cheaper back then to reload. Thanks for your video. I am looking into starting shotshell reloading, but with the current prices I am not sure if its worth it vs buying factory shells..

      Hahaha I I ie right, I remember the days of $20 100RD boxes, I was out yesterday and saw a 100rd bx of Winchester target loads for $120. It’s reduculious the money they want for stuff now

    • @fungifactory8925
      @fungifactory8925 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jeremygourde9880 I've never even bought winchester ammo they always seem to be a good $20+ more than the closest competitor on anything 🤣 I've bought their components, though plenty of times because that seems to be more normal priced

    Amazon sells alot of ball bearings/ slingshot rounds for pretty cheap. They come in a few sizes too. 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8. Would the 3/8 work for steel buckshot? I can't seem to find a bag of 00 buckshot pellets by themselves.
    All I can find is the slingshot rounds off of Amazon. And there pretty cheap 1000 steel balls for like 20 to 25 bucks.
    Would the steel slingshot rounds be a good alternative for making buckshot? 1200 bearings for 25 bucks isn't bad in my opinion.
    One reason I wanted to reload 12 guage is because you can make all sorts of rounds. Buckshot mixes, rock salt, Ect.

    Bro it sucks here because the Hazmat fee here is $200-400 why? Not only because we are a U.S. overseas Territory, we can only bring it in freight. THEN there is another $200 for the transportation fee by the fire department. The local government here is BS. I miss the mainland U.S.
