The effect on the front that’s projected should collapse on the ship when it’ll you arrive at destination so you can see it getting closer and , like a wave washing over your ship
I just hope they properly sound-mixed the volume this time. But that shaking is smart. It will be a way to not just give yourself a smoother ride based on skill, but also your passengers in case you fly transport missions.
This is very interesting. I like the idea of having options for quantum travel. The traditional that takes longer and is stable and safe (allowing you to leave the cockpit and have in ship game play) and a faster option that cost more resources and requires you to maintain heading.
Praise aside, I'm not a fan of the blue orb in the front. Something breathtaking about seeing a planet or moon close in on you or swoosh by you. The orb kind of blocks the view.
why are the particles / stars passing you in a non-linear way... its like firesparks... they should pass you in a linear path because YOU move, not them...?
And still from the outside I bet the ship just disappeared/despawns. This is what is missing. In elite it's always fun to follow ships from the stations as they fsd jump.
They dont despwan. They just accalerate very fast. When you catch someone QT jumping around a Planet/Moon your radar is able to detect them while they are at the beginning of the qt jump before they are out of range.
@@filippochinello9848 that wasn't what the person was asking, but yes you are correct, yes i already knew (besides the most interesting parts of this video being the external shots, (leaving and arriving) which we didnt see at citcon)
Hmm. Not sure I like the idea of having to manage quantum all the way through. Kinda liked being able to get up to go to the loo or get a drink while in quantum. The idea of having to play the mini-game for 10 or so mins on the longer quantum jumps
@@dukeofhazard420it's not a rumor, they said it on citizencon that you only need to control the ship until it stabilize, and then you can stand up. It works on a large distances, but I'm not sure if its the same (or even needed) for short range boosting.
The reason he's releasing these vids now might be because his NDA ended or something like that, but the things you see are now well outdated and can be seen in a newer version in the citizen con videos@@robingood21century
some people already dont like this, at least not the "liquid" effect distortion around the ship during travel, if in 3rd person view. considering Star Trek, Star Wars, Andromeda, BSG, and most sci-fi ip's, 3rd person view the ships look clean when traveling, thus, i can understand where they are coming from. its a good idea on paper, but the effects is rather game-esk in nature and quality. well its alpha, so i think, if the feedback is constructive, and enough people bring it up, they will change it, if not then not.
Something important to note here is that CIG mentioned that they exaggerated the effects of everything they showed during CitCon on purpose since it would be better to scale it down rather than amplify it

Wait they already added the steering part to QT? In 3.22??
the new exterior animation fml it looks so good
we've already seen this effect in CiG's tech demo for StarEngine so why not? I mean isn't this what will become the new Quantum boost?
The leak is mostly cool for showing of the exterior as we never saw that during the tech demo
We all know it is not a leak :P
Does anyone have this footage in 4k? or even 1440p?
Stearing in guantum noooo. Why they make mini game where it’s not needed. It’s loading animation of 3min and leave it like that.
mmmm... ships should have auto direction mechanism, not a fan of always keep my ship in the slip

not a leak, it's been uploaded by the dev
So is this fan made or is this a leak?
This is a leak from an Ex CIG dev

That’s just a rumor it’s only for the first 10 seconds or so unless it’s quantum boost which is short range anyway
The proof was right in front of your eyes homie

We even see it stabilizing in the video. Theres a ui animation when it happens. Only in qt travel not boosting though

The effect is nice. Having to keep your hand on the mouse adds nothing. Looks like I just cant have a quick toilette break in quantum jumps anymore.
yeahh thats what i find iss not good in my opinion when you nedd to steer in quantum now when you fly one hour^^
thats only for the start, once it callibrates, you can let go of the controls
@@officerjohns9554 If they add something to make it interesting and an option to automate it then its all good. But with just this I dont want it :D
What's the point of this if you can't steer it?
Now you can’t quantum jump and go take a leak, great
It’s only for the first couple seconds then it locks in, did you watch the video???
Yes you can.
Just say you don’t know how to pay attention
The question is. Will this game be released before 2050? The answer. No.
My brother in christ, you can literally download and play it right now.
go play starfield .... lol
I guess, the alpha test title do stop a lot of people look for more info
