    Special Majority is.. more than 50% strength of the house and 2/3 majority present and voting.

    Special majority refers to 2/3rd majority of members present and voting + absolute majority.
    And absolute majority refers to atleast 50% of members present and voting from the total strength of that house.

    Special majority = 2/3 rd of members present and voting which should be equal to or greater than half of total membership of the house.

      In bengal two vacancies in LA.she will be elected from one of those constituency.No problem arising whether it wanted back the upper house or not.

      They want to abolish the MLC,for which they pass a resolution with special majority and send to the parliament for its approval.
