Are your contacts segmented in your current email marketing software, in a meaningful way that you would like to preserve in Kajabi? If so, then you will need to repeat this process and bring over several individual CSV files, each representing a segment with the file named appropriately. You will create a tag in Kajabi to identify these individuals and apply it to the contact records of everyone simultaneously upon bulk import. This will group them together and allow you to filter them later.
If your contacts are not segmented and they are in one single homogenous list and you don't know anything about any of them, then , then export them from the current email marketing software as a single CSV file and bulk import it into Kajabi
• make sure this file is properly formatted to meet the specifications
Go to People, Add New Person, Add Multiple Persons for the exact syntax required
• say "yes" that you have permission to send marketing material to everyone (because they gave clear consent in another email marketing software)
• create an import tag that will group them together in Kajabi Example: MailchimpImport92019 and have Kajabi apply this tag simultaneously to each of these contacts simultaneously upon
Bulk import
• once the bulk import is complete, you can go under People and filter on that import tag ...
it will return a list of contacts. In the far left column, select all. Then select an action. You can subscribe them to an email sequence that you’ve created ...and then choose specifically which one from the drop-down list of values.

What about being able to import tags? If I upload in segments, and someone is in two segments because they are in two tags, it uploads them more than once and there is no merge function. Is this correct?
