I don't think it's something he's aware of. Keep in mind that Chai's "powers" are kinda more for gameplay, and that Kale Vandelay is an idiot who cheated and bought his way to the top (It also didn't help he was the son of the companies former CEO). This is a man who thought simple market research and providing variety was too much work so he decided that developing MIND CONTROL TECHNOLOGY would be easier. Let's also not forget that in order for this technology to work you would have to have people buy it to begin with. Keep in mind, Project Armstrong was still in the testing phase and thus, probably was also still in the prototyping phase. Nothing's being mass produced for customers yet. Once word got out that these cool robotic limbs mind controlled ya (and trust me, it would when people start noticing their friends acting weird) I can guarantee you sales would plummet. I don't know about you, but I don't need some corpo scumbag arm telling me to pre-order the latest Zanzo cardboard cutout (only $999.99 order now while supplies last!). And of course, once sales plummet, stock begins to plummet and next thing you know Vandelay is a poisoned brand no investor, or customer wants anything to do with. So yeah, put it short and blunt, dude thought he could mind control people into buying his tech but didn't think about the fact he would have to get said tech into them in the first place.
As someone who struggled with the qte segments I really appreciated that this part gives instant redos, instead of ruining the moment with a game over screen
Kale: Let's see you destroy a shield of MUSIC! Chai: Dude, I AM music. Kale: Curses! My lazy short-sightedness! (Lazy short-sightedness is literally Kale's thing.)
I'm imagining this scene but in a different way and for an OC I made up for Kyoryuuger named Yami Wazuki. Here's a bit of context for his backstory. When D was defeated by Daigo, his soul split in two and one of the halves became part of his soul which made him half human and half Deboss army. Now here's the scene I'll show. When the Deboss tries to control Torin with the dark song, they also control Yami since D's soul is a part of him. He even grows giant because of that half but during the giant battle, he fights the control because of the bonds he has with his friends and the human half in him and he breaks free from the control. He even says this when he's about to break free "I don't need D's power. I am Kyoryuu Navy!!"
Man, I saw a lot of people having problems with this harmonic force-field scene so I just turned on the "One button for all QTE's!" and breezed past this.
Given this guys powerset, you'd think the villains would immediately stop using sound based technology.

Yeah but Kale is an idiot masquerading as a maniacal mastermind, so...
Then again, the villains probably don’t hear the sound and assume he is wielding a giant wad of metal
To be fair, the entire game seems to take place over the span of a few days at most so they wouldn't have had time to change it
Don't be silly, that would make far too much sense.
i love how hi fi rush knows when to be serious and when to be comedic
this part made me a bit emotional i wont lie
Same... Even threw up the hands \m/
Me too
I still cry every time at this scene. It will forever stick in my head.
Never thought a quick time event could make me cry but here we are 😭
"You'll never escape, hero! I made this prison with the power of MUSIC! ...wait, why are you smiling? Hey! Stop tapping your feet! Quit it! NOOOOO!"

All missing the marks does is make the music not hit hard, that's what I've noticed, but it's awesome that it does it that way
Should've gotten a GOTY nominee
At least it was nominated for other things
Yeah, it was goty for me if bg3 would not release
And then the studio got closed down.
@@jeremytung1632 now it’s back
With how emotional this got, I made it my personal goal to make it through this part without screwing up, I’m glad I didn’t on the first try
Kale: Let's see you destroy a shield of MUSIC!
Chai: Dude, I AM music.
Kale: Curses! My lazy short-sightedness!
(Lazy short-sightedness is literally Kale's thing.)
The definition of the word "Vibe check".
And chai hella passed it with flying colors
I LOVE THAT SONG
omg i just noticed 808 because they cant pulse to the beat there ears wiggle to it
This is probably my favorite part in the whole game, it's so beautiful~
Love how 808 close the eyes and move the ears on the Beat! Best Part of the Game!
Friendship was the real music the entire time
This scene hit so perfect. Loved it.
I get the feeling I should be very confused by you pp.
Game of the year. Devs nailed it with comic timing and this scene
this part of the game made me kinda sad on my first playthrough cuz i knew i was getting closer to the end
Anyone else ever get the shivers when he breaks the force field with that end note?
This game is so lit. Watching this makes me wanna play it all over again.
Such an epic and emotional moment
Probs the best moment of the game is right here during the breaking the barrier bit
“HOLY SHIT THE BARRIER”
This is the best moment in the game
Fucken cried when this part came up I had to pause multiple times
During my play through even though this is a very uplifting moment it made me pretty sad
This reminds of that one gitaroo man level
Such a good game
Everyone should play it
Same! Came back to look at it because of that

This scene made me realize I'm not alone, even in the darkest times I have my friends by my side... always
Standout moment from an incredible game.
that time Chai uses his stupid musical robot powers
Could you make a video about this song? I think the name is "Reflection", on the jukebox.
Sorry, I didn't buy it and I don't have enough tickets(money) for it. I can't afford to get a single song anymore.
Hope we get another season for this game. I almost cried at this part 😢
Hate to break it to you… but uhhh-…
@@IchizokuRoninHate to break it you but uhh
#2 is well in 6 months development and on its way
@@eatanotherzio6811 yeah, I saw the news. I cried hard tbh
