This is the type of repairs I enjoy. No electronics, just good old reliable mechanical components that are completely rebuildable. I would rather rebuild a diff than chase a misfire. 😂😂😂😂. Great video. Definitely going to sub. 👍👍
At 10:10 in the video its stated that if not changing the gears you just need to keep the shim stacks in their original places. So, if changing the carrier bearings, it's just a matter of bearing replacement and reassemble with the same shim order?
Splitter bolts are not designed to carry load. You should have rotated the splitter 90 degrees. The splitter body should have spanned the gap, not the bolts.
salutes from Tj 664 I have a 1998 chevy 5.7 silverado the diferential is damage what other vehicle have the same diferential can you tell me please to replace it with another
Great video! Are the axle seals leaking in the rear? Looks like that "bigger pry bar" @ 15:50 may have gouged the housing, but maybe I'm seeing something wrong.

Is this the same rear end as the chevy express or savanna?
Really great video
Would the oscillating tool by milwaukee be able to cut the bearing without hitting the carrier or pinion?

It’s been about a year and a half since this rebuild, no issues.

Check your build codes
I think you use that bearing splitter the wrong way mi friend
You had the splitter on the press 90 degrees off. The bolts should have been over the rails
