After a few of the more recent Yakuza games I’m addicted to these games. Love them to bits. I love the fact that in theory these games shouldn’t work. The wacky side missions shouldn’t mix with the more serious main quest. The fact they make this work so well really impressed me.
Sure, all the skill books do is make a skill purchasable in your skill tree for SP. They don't immediately unlock the skill, just the option to buy it. There are three in the story and three in Paradise VR. You can check Cyric's chart for greater clarification: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/247615-judgment/faqs/77509/skill-books
I just played my first yakuza game. The like a dragon one. Not sure if that was a great start. But I saw it and wanted to play it. Now I just got myself judgment. Because somehow I found it pretty interesting. And of course later I will play lost judgment. I'm really excited hope I'm not gamma be disappointed. Thanks for your vids!appreciate them!
"Like a Dragon" was created to be a place for people new to the series to jump in, so don't worry, you're good. While I enjoyed Judgment a lot, I would recommend you check out Yakuza Kiwami or Yakuza 0, both are classic entries and very affordable during summer sales. 🙂
I've gotten stuck on a mission in Yakuza: Like A Dragon so I bought Judgment & Lost Judgment. Judgment turned out very fun and simple. Everyone is different but I thought they did an amazing job.
I would like to play this game as I recently earned the Platinum trophy in Yakuza Like a Dragon. I have some reservations because there is a missable trophy that you need to play Blackjack or Baccarat and I don’t know how to gamble. Any tips?
You seem to me to be a pretty serious achievement hunter, so if you plan on completing any other games in the series, they're going to usually have at least 1 gambling-related trophy. The good news is that most of these games are not as complicated as you might expect. Personally, I like Gamefaqs written guides for an overview of how to play these titles, but you'll find there are plenty of resources on how to play these games out there: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps4/816306-yakuza-0/faqs/74451/baccarat I do plan on providing video guides for all of these minigames in the future so you might look out for those.
@@ChillKaijuClan Great to hear that. After I completed the True Final Millennium Tower, I was craving for more.. Maybe this game is the answer. Thanks for the reply and I’ll subscribe and I will wait for your minigames vids. Cheers! 👍🏼🍻
I recently finished the game on PS5. At the beginning, I really enjoyed the game. Later, the game became very repetitive in some aspects. The story isn't bad, but the "talk" around, it was so annoying. The camera is one of the strongest enemies in combat. 6/10.
I totally agree that the game could still use some tuning. My main complaint is how long it takes to get SP. I understand if they didn't want people to max out too early, but the amount of work you have to do to get skills is a little extreme.
I would prefer to get my pronunciation of Japanese names correct at all times, but I do not always have a Japanese consultant on hand. I spend most of my time playing these games reading the localized text. And even if I do try to follow the example of tutor, I might still get the accent wrong. I know from being repeatedly corrected by a Japanese teacher when I tried to say "American" in Japanese. I couldn't hear my mistake. Because of this, I tend to err toward more Westernized pronunciations to get my point across. At the end of the day, I need to get these videos completed and published, and perfectionism is an impediment to that. I am still working to improve in this regard.
@@l.j6160 I appreciate that. Was the way I pronounced it very different than the way it is said during the English versions of the cutscenes? I thought I was saying it the same way they do. Might be wrong.
@@ChillKaijuClan You were definitely close lol; All you had to do was pronounce "MI" like "Me", but its not that big of a deal. I just wanted to be that one person, who has to correct everyone 🤣. No Harm Intended 😃🤟🏽💯
I’ve never played a yakuza game before but I just finished this recently and absolutely loved it!
I'm glad to hear it! If you enjoyed this game, I'm pretty confident you'll love mainline yakuza as well.
You should play the Yakuza games, they are amazing
@@FriedSheep69 I think I may do lost judgment. I finally got a ps5 for cost so I have a long list lol.

You are such an underated youtuber , just like the yakuza series itself . (Very fitting sadly) Love your vids , I just watched them all and subbed.
Thanks for saying so! Really makes everything worth it. Doing my best to get more quality stuff posted for you.
Agreed!
Awesome tips! I would've liked to have seen more on how to use skill books but still great!

3:50
Dodge rolling being introduced in Judgment games is soo sexy
Just started the PS5 version of this game, it's a great game but it's so damn hard to make money/SP! I hope it gets easier to earn them later on.
I've had the same experience when playing the game on PS4. You're right, it is very incremental.
Do side missions when they introduced
The vr side mission gives you a nice bag for completing it.
Keep going, nice vid kyodai !!
Thank you, Wong SIFU! Ganbarimasu!
That unexpected PC release tho! :O
Let's go!
See Yakuza I'm up kiawi 2, , nice review this , I not sure but start it now ,

Very good tips 👍. Are there different difficulty’s?
Yes, I believe so. Easy, Normal, and Hard. Similar to other RGG titles.
@@ChillKaijuClan You forgot abóut legend.
@@TheWehzy You right. Don't know why I didn't find a better answer back then. 😅
I gotta try this game
See I just got this , I brought all yakuzas this year, glad start this not ruin ne Yakuza, ,
I'm pretty conscientious not to spoil anything in my videos, I hope these help!
Combat tip: tiger drop. That's all 😂
Yeah, pretty much all I thought to talk about in the beginner's guide, apart from styles.

Like this game it just took for ever for the pace of the game to kick in. Tailing missions are just bad
Those missions weren't my favorite.
