I'm only 28, and watching this I learned what the term CLASSIC really means. Something is only classic when it can stand the test of time. This was just as entertaining today as it was yesterday and when Sammy actually did this performance. This was great, not like the mediocre and subpar entertainers of today. Wish I could have seen this live. This is full of CLASS, what most of my generation lacks.

A tremendous talent. It takes a very strong singing ability to imitate other singers well. Unfortunately, because he was so amazingly versatile as an entertainer and because much of his singing was devoted to imitations, Sammy's "real" singing never made the impact that it might have.

When Sammy first did his imitations during a show with his father and uncle when they got off the stage they said don't you ever do that again. Can you imagine a black man doing imitations of white people during that era. Sammy opened a lot of doors for the future entertainers.
