Jinx card says "Demolitionist". As for the Volibear legend, I suspect Runes are the "mana", especially since you say he's part of a ramp strategy. It would make sense that he'd ramp you one exhausted mana/rune and it supports there being a separate mana deck since it says from top of rune deck. I love the world of Runeterra, so I'm excited to see how this actually shapes up and what it has to offer.
I don't think the top left number is converted mana cost, when you look in some of the hands there are cards with 0 that still require you to tab mana (btw i think the mana system is called runes, that would make sense with Volibears effect)
I'm a Vampire: the Eternal Struggle player. It's a ccg that was made especially for social games (4 to 5 players, optimally). I am excited to see another title get into that scene and maximize the multiplayer dynamics.
@hicamajig Yes I know. And yes, it's one of the biggest cardgames in Japan and it's not hard to see why. I want it back. In Japan they have so many cool new cards and mechanics while here in the west alot of kids are forgetting that it ever existed even though it inspired most of the popular cardgames today, such as Digimon TCG for example. Makes me sick!

I like how they are using LoR art for cards. I actually like LoRs battle style i wonder why they just didn't follow that. Getting a mana gem every turn unless you ramp is so much fairer than a land style play. But as long as it isn't rng based like having to draw them to play them then I'm happy

What I am most curious about is how this combat is going to work, from what I have seen there is nothing that looks like health? so what determines when a card get knocked out? I am also super excited for the possible limited formats this game could have, how would draft work? can we squeeze in a champion select with the opened Legends? seems like it could be fun putting a side all the legends in the draft for the players to then do a pick/ban phase among those cards - could be fun, not sure if it would work with the overall deck building rules though.

Runes are the Lands of the game, they come in the white deck, and based on Volibear's ability, you draw/put one on field per turn at random. Every game has 3 locations (like Snap), and thats considered Battlefield where you can attack enemies, now, i dont know if you conquest a point at the end of the turn if you have more power than enemies, or if you are the only player there (i think is the last). 3:53 - 'you got the 8 points', so whoever takes 8 points wins the game. 1:35 and 1:54 - Converted cost looks weird tho, i think its confusing based on how other TCGs manage this, maybe its something more, i saw some cards without converted cost (there is a yellow 5 cost card there), so that runes below the card cost may be a "recover X runes after playing the card", or something like that. I think this could be good in a multiplayer game because this way you can play cards in your turn and leave something for opponents turns.
For me personally it's hard to be that excited. They could have done a better job with the prototype they are showing us. For example, the lower score (right corner) is very hard to read, as it is written on the card's background., Moreover, the wording is very poor, the use of symbols then of 'I' talking about the card is not great. Lastly, I hate when they re-use art from the game, it just feels cheap, it's like me cutting and pasting something on paint. Don't get me wrong, the game might be fun, but it feels like it's not polished yet and they are trying to milk the interest from Arcane while it is still out there. If they were more sure about the gaming experience/play they would have given us more than what they showed.
Riot burned me with LoR. I won't be checking out anything they make in reference to card games. Not to mention they've hired the same people that failed LoR? What? No thanks. I still play Path because it's great but they can't even fully commit to that. They've lost their touch.

Based on the Volibear segment, the 'lands' are probably called runes.
Thats why it sais play the top rune exhausted, because its a ramp deck

They tried again in NA with Kaijudo which failed again heh. Still one of the top card games in Japan somehow.

No wonder LoR failed, there was no hope with an userbase like that. I wish them luck and as a Bandai TCG player I'll support this game.

Runes are likely Mana or Lands. Exhausted is tapped. Volibear is saying a land comes into play tapped.
