Violet was the ASMR gateway drug for me. She was the first artist I found, and the one against ALL others have fallen short - even 8 years later. Would love to know that she's alive, well and happy somewhere, but am so grateful that she left her content up.

Guys, use some logic. She had around half a million subs. If she was done with YT she’d have said goodbye. It’s sad to admit, but she’s gone. Let’s hope that a family member will see how many people loved her, and drop us a line at some point.
@@howardm.burgers The fact you use the logic that "she hasn't been uploading = dead", and you have no sources nor family members to confirm that she has died, while colleagues have confirmed she has just moved on from youtube, is enough to me at least. We've seen it a bunch of times where TH-camrs just stopped uploading without a farewell to pursue their other career. No one is in debt to say goodbye, especially in this case, as the comments and growth of her channel was what stressed her out.

I miss her videos too, but she's most likely living a very different life now. She's probably married, graduated med school, and working a full time job.
She might even have children by now.
She's moving forward with her life, as we all should.
Don't mourn the death of her channel.
Instead, be thankful for the wonderful experiences she brought us.
I understand what you're saying, but honestly how hard is it to make one last goodbye video to let people know she's decided not to continue the channel? She could always disable the comments and leave it at that, just don't leave people hanging wondering what happened to her.

I was 12 or 13 when I found her asmr videos and now I’m 19. I check her channel every day before I go to sleep and have been doing so for 4 years now hoping she’ll come back one day. She’s why I love asmr so much. Hope everything is okay. And hope to see her again. 💓
Sounds to me that she became a PA/Physicians Assistant. Tough career and challenging. I’m assuming it totally takes up all her time and honestly she would need to stay focused to help those who need it. So quitting social-media makes a ton of sense.

We're now closing in on 10 years since her last video, and many of us are still wondering what happened to her. There hasn't been a single sign of life from her in the past decade: not a video, a comment, or a like. It's actually impressive how successfully she disappeared, despite how big of a following she gained. I have read a lot of comments, and nobody seems to know what actually happened.
There are so many contradictory stories out there: that she died, that she had kids, that she became a nurse, that she lives in X, Y, or Z state... any or all of these may be true or false, which only adds to the mystery. At this point, you (the person reading this) could make up any story you want and it'll be just as plausible as any of the wild theories out there, simply because there's nothing backing any of them up.
I have a hunch that Violet isn't actually her real name, and that she intentionally went by a pseudonym to protect her privacy (smart if true). If she's still alive (I hope she is), I would imagine she would find the various fan theories amusing. Hope she's doing well wherever she is, and that she comes back someday in some form. Even if it's just to tell us herself that she's alive and well.

I remember when this video was posted, I had been watching some of her stuff for a few months and was so excited to see a new video, let alone two right close to each other. When it was posted I had just been diagnosed with clinical depression and was in a very bad place mentally. This video and the others that she has posted have helped me the last few years, and have helped me to have the will power to graduate from highschool in June. Whenever I was having a hard time I knew I could always just type into the TH-cam search bar, VeniVidiVulpes and I would be able to sleep and be calmed. I hope that she is living her best life. and just wanted to post something in case she ever gets curious at how her channel is doing to say thank you to her for all she has done for me.
I miss her so much…if she came back she would break TH-cam. Wherever life took her I hope she is happy!

anyone as good as you. Thanks to you I have learned that soft whispering and soft sounds are an art form and the few people who are genuinely good at it deserve more recognition. It amazes me how few ASMR artists know how to do either of those things well or how to put their egos aside and fade into the background to let the audio work its magic. Someone commented here and corroborating from many accounts in the comments and inference taken from her other videos its apparent she was doing some kind of med/nursing school. That takes up all of your time, especially for something that is not really your focus or hobby. This being the case, shes not an artist/ film person clearly and has found a better calling going through PA school and continuing on, she has most certainly forgotten about this. I now barely remember I had a channel 10-11 years ago myself that I made videos with, I have not checked it since, nor do I have the desire to even now remembering I had an old one. Its nothing personal, and I am willing to bet she has a different account and watches TH-cam as a faceless commenter, but its not her hobby and just some thing she did in the past. Life goes on, pictures and videos are frozen in time. Think of all the early videos on TH-cam. Case and point, I remember watching this when I started my Bachelors program, I am now in my masters program. Its a sobering thought. I smile because I am not the same person or in the same position I was, and this video is a reminder of the progress I have made.

These videos helped me sleep while I was incredibly stressed going through college. She stopped making videos around the time I finished. I have found other ASMRtists since, but I'll always remember this channel and all the relief it brought me. Thank you, wherever you are.
You know, Violet gets almost a million views a day. If she uploaded regularly, she could easily surpass Gentlewhispering in only a few months. But I bet Violet doesn't want that attention, which is understandable. But she's really talented.

I first found ASMR a little over a year ago. Since I have ADHD and Anxiety it's extremely hard for me to calm down before I go to bed. But once I found ASMR I decided to give it a go. VeniVidiVulpes' hair salon was my first video and my favourite for the longest time. Since I've grown more accustomed to the difficulties I have with sleeping I'm able to do it much easier and I'm just now revisiting this as its four in the morning and I can't get to bed.
