I like how Gege acknowledges his faults and strives to learn from mistakes, but I feel he is too hard on himself. He has created something amazing even if it isn’t perfect, and I will cherish it for the rest of my life. Looking forward to what he will make in the future.
Tbh no manga is really perfect. The fact that he gave us the best modern age shonen fights ever is something which no current manga could try to replicate.
That seems to be a trend with most modern mangaka, the industry over there is unfathomably brutal. Being expected to both write and draw 19 pages of story every single week must be devastating to their physical and mental health. I really hope something can change over there.
@@anthonywalker4052Nah. It's still amazing to me. The ending of the show is really the only bad part about it. Everything else about this manga is still insanely peak.
Dang that’s really sad. Despite my complaints towards the end, the manga overall is still fantastic and Gojo vs Sukuna was literally peak manga fights (in terms of art, choreography, and just hype in the community).
It’s upsetting to hear how hard he is on himself he made a series that was #1 on shonen jump. It’s not perfect especially with the ending stuff but it was a blast when it was coming out
@@celinatay3348 He thinks he was pretty rude to his editors and ignored and burdened them too much. Might also be a bit about how much he acted like he hates gojo ig
@@celinatay3348he meant that he felt he wrote the story for what the viewer wanted it to be, rather than what he had to offer. Tbh gege shouldn't be too hard on himself. But indeed it's true that to write convincingly, one must write with conviction. Maybe some regrets here and there with regards to the story, but gege should be proud with what he had built.
This was truly our Jujutsu Kaisen 😢. Despite its flows JJk was still a phenomenal manga. I am sad seeing it gone but it was a fun ride . Thank you Gege Akutami
This makes me sad, knowing how often Gege took breaks from writing around the latter half of the manga's serialisation. It really brings to light that those breaks were probably for more than just physical health. Despite its flaws, they really did make something special(z) here and hopefully in time they come to accept that for themselves too.
Sounds like he's an overthinker and took a lot of criticisms to heart lol. Jujutsu Kaisen was awesome and Gege deserves all the praise and love he can get. Excited for his next work 🙏
Yeah and I don't blame him the fandom literally gave him death threats and gege when I catch you slogans ?!!! I mean what human being can take all that after working hours as a mangaka ..... The story has it's fault and I also have criticised him multiple times and sometimes has been harsh .....but now I feel sorry for the things and how he felt We should respect him atleast ..... Take it or not we all enjoyed the series and that's why millions of people followed it till end
@ I’ll admit, I felt the end fight could’ve used a few more chapters on the backend, but overall I’m happy with how it ended and the quick ending felt in theme with the story as a whole. A lot of people complained about Gojo’s death and how it “ruined the story,” but I don’t think that’s the case at all. Gojo’s death needed to happen for Yuji and his friends to step up and defeat Sukuna, or else there would be no point for them to be in the story. Also, it adds to the bittersweet ending of Gojo’s character where it appears he has this infinite power, but can’t even save himself or his friends. Like he said about his infinite domain technique: when someone has everything, they also have nothing.
@@dj__alienit actually was supposed to. Jump has deadlines in which a mangaka has to finish an arc or plot. Gege literally was hospitalised and underwent a surgery during the final arc. He had to take a lot of breaks because of his health so he had to skip a lot of content to finish the story
@@extraaccount4852 oooh. I didn’t even consider Gege running out of time for the deadline since he got sick those few weeks. That makes a lot of sense and makes me feel even more bad the guy. Either way, he wrapped up the story in the best way possible imo
I feel sorry for Gege . Despite his series breaking Guinness records, despite so many people loving it or just liking it, despite so many great moments, he is still so hard on himself People forget that mangakas are also people and they probably see some of the worst comments. It definitely doesn't help with self-esteem and motivation. Thanks Gege for this great adventure and fun ❤
I mean it started out great and then the criticisms came as he self admittedly became absent minded. Yeah people are harsh with all mangakas. Especially as a lack of consistency is seen
@@giovalladares1022no the criticism started when the manga didn't match some people's agendas and Gege read them and then he lost his beats little by little 😂
@@windygrass9807 what agenda are you talking about? Any sane jjk fans already noticed the declined of the writing after shibuya arc + the lackluster of the worldbuilding itself (if you don't believed me just go back and read the series). @@lumonetic1124 it was so fun tho if you were in the leak culture/community. People were theorizing, making memes on the fly and hyping the series to insane levels. Genuinely one of the best times I've ever had reading a piece of media because the community made it feel like a genuine group experience, and not just a story. The spoilers were part of that experience imo, it was like a game to dodge the hypebeasts spoiling you every week before you could read it yourself lol. And, when the spoiling got really bad, that's when you could tell the chapter was about to be GOATED. If getting spoiled on a few things is the cost for having that experience again, then I'd gladly pay it.
@@lumonetic1124I have never seen a community so toxic with spoilers as JJK. I got spoiled Gojos death before even getting to s2 of the anime. In all my life liking anime accounts used to be SUPER CAREFUL with spoiler warnings. JJK fans did not give AF.
@thekamotodragon That's cool for you and all, but that's actually a terrible community behavior. That was an issue with Attack on Titan and JJK and it has more issues than just spoiling things for people. Not only were those spoilers inconsiderate, but the defense of that inconsiderate behavior emboldened people to be extremely rude in many other ways. Calling people who read the official release or watch the anime stupid was one of the lighter sort of comments you'd see. And people who didn't even like the spoilers they were sharing went out of their way to find people excitedly waiting for an episode or chapter to come out and spoil them on purpose just to make them upset. As much as I was excited enough to read leaks, I NEVER want that type of community to come about. It was actually genuinely terrible for people just trying to be part of a fanbase on social media. Nobody's fun is so important that other people's peace should be disturbed as a direct result.
Yea, I felt grateful to be able to read this manga for the past several years. There just wasn't a lot of manga where I just can't wait for it release every wk. I hope whatever he'll do next will be just as exciting.
Yea you can tell this is of honest work from a mangakas who wanted to try. I still enjoy the shit outta jjk. The drippiest darkest hands to magic manga/anime.
damn i'm gonna miss jjk even with all its flaws, it was still enjoyable i know a lot of people (including me) hated gege's writing a lot cause it was sloppy or had a lot of mistakes during mid to end of the series but that's prolly cause most of us were too blinded by anger or rage about it i mean jjk is the guy's first BIG manga, and you can't really expect to do everything right on the first time so i guess i feel a little bad for being angry over the writing even so, jjk's definitely something that a shit ton of people loved and enjoyed, so even if the writing was peak or complete dogshit, it's all worth it in the end hope mappa does it justice and maybe sprinkle in some filler moments to get more character interaction and stuff anyways yeah this truly was our jujutsu kaisen 🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣
@@friedhotwings would you rather i not realize my mistakes and keep hating on him?? people can change. wasn't the whole point of sukuna's arc to be a better person or something? besides, you don't know anything about me, so something as small as hating something that 'says a lot more about me than i think' seems kinda unfair it's kinda like saying that if you like pokemon a bit, you're automatically a diehard digimon fan people are more complicated than that
This can often be the state of a creative. He was quite transparent when he didn't have to be. Obviously, he thought there were some issues with what he put out, which he appears to express in his note, but he also saw some of the negative comments. The guy wrote a manga that was read worldwide, so hopefully, he knows that means something. If anything, when you create a world that audiences long to hear more stories from, you've succeeded in more ways than one. Kudos to Gege.
JJK wasn’t perfect and there are some parts that could’ve been better, but honestly, it was one hell of a ride and I still enjoyed jjk overall. Thank you Akutami for making this story. You did good. Take a long break. You deserve it
Ion care about Gege's fault. He gave me a 10/10 manga imo, and I read feeling satisfied. Every disappoint is a blessing in disguise and everything Gege didn't address before dropping his pen, I've had LOTS of fun ruminating on my head cannons about them day in day out. You can say atp, I'm not home sick, I'm JJK sick ❤
Genuinely feel sad that manga like JJK and MHA had ended. Through all their flaws, they made some of the best entertainment I've watched/read. Now, i'm gonna start reading/watching DDD (DanDaDan) and that one new manga called Drama Queen.
For all the jokes we make and we will continue to make. Gege is now and forever our GOAT, I hope deep down they know that. Whatever they decide to do next, I know it'll be great and I can't wait to see it.
Damn. Although admittedly I had gained extreme negative feelings toward JJK (mostly due to everything after Shibuya Incident and how that retroactively gave the otherwise lightning-in-a-bottle story arc a bad aftertaste with the admittedly lame conclusions to it’s established plot-lines)… It was still arguably one of the greatest ”new-gen” manga of today, especially with how it gave birth to the (when compared to most animeme communities) *the funniest anime community **_of ALL TIME._* I wish Gege Akutami all the luck in successfully following-up JJK, whatever the series may be.
There were many things I ended up disliking about jjk but it’s still a work of art that’s better and more successful than the majority of people could accomplish. I hope he’s not too hard on himself or discouraged
All the pressure plus the Fandom hating and death treats is ridiculous. Him forgiving people make him strong but no way he will forgive people. Can't wait for his another work. He's truly my best artist in my eyes. I have enjoyed for witnessing him for 4-6 in real time works.
Okay damnit we all need to tell this man what he created was truly special. The best power system I've seen to date. I give it the slight edge over HxH. It produced the perhaps the best 1v1 in Shonen history but thats highly debatable. I think it is cause two power houses threw the kitchen sink at each other and it ultimately broke down to a fight of sorcery fundamentals. Absolutely peak stuff. This man needs to be praised and never feel like this agajn. Stop it. Im guilty as hell not gonna lie.
True , ive said this thing all...the... time that JJK is not even at its full potential yet this sht was crunched out at the end . People were calling me delusion for being Jjk supoorter cuz they think gege is just an ordinary shounen mangaka who just created a hype story for fame and money and not with passion . They forgét the fact jjk was such a hype throughout the entire aot final season era to now , It never fall down It always stayed on top fighting its way against big titles like op ,aot, ds and more this is something an ordinary mangaka cannot do even if it wasnt his first manga so definitely gege wasnt someone ordinary but a "genius" and this video is the proof of it . Altho I truly didnt know what gege was going through this entire 6 years of jjk , constant mind straining for next chapters which messed up all departments and gege had to let all of it go for the story to conclude somehow . Now i really wanna meet Gege and tell him " you are not an idiot , dont blame all on yourself, we are humans at the end of the day and not robots . Mistakes happen plz dont blame it all on yourself . And most importantly have a good long enough break for a healthy comeback on another project 😉 " 😭
@LSirius-v7c well Gojo being a shounen editor idea is a big hint that he wasn't given full autonomy over his own fucking manga. Also evidence that maybe that was a good thing cause gojo is a great character. You have to wonder what else they messed with though cause he clearly butted heads with editors. Both sides of that are to blame. Gege isn't apologizing for nothing. The fans however were horrible. I didn't start complaining til the chapter he addressed fan theories directly. Bro ignore the morons shinjuku was peak the whole time.
Gege and Hori (MHA) can bond and support each other after finishing their manga. Both having a lot pressure on their shoulders for being weekly shonen jump mangaka.
Even if he kind of did disappoint with some chapters, writing and all I still appreciate and respect him. Without him we wouldn't even have an amazing manga like this. And it's gtk that he realizes his mistakes and all. But I think he should be less hard on himself!
It's really sad to see what Gege struggles with. Dude is so harsh with himself and believes he doesn't deserve what he has and where he is, yet he created a story that, while not perfect, is great and brought so many people together to support it and him, and while we may make fun of some parts of it or some errors that happened along the way, i think no one genuenly wishes harm on the guy, and more than one would like to see him grow as an artist, learning from the mistakes of the past and improving. I wish him good in the future. This really was our Jujutsu Kaisen
The weekly experience of reading JJK got me through some really hard times in my life and I will forever be thankful for the immense amount of effort Akutami-sensei put into this series, a series that I have never had to spend a dime to enjoy. I know it's very common to lose sight of the stress mangakas are under, and for Gege to have endured it for 7 years straight while still outputting a quality product is a testament to his tenacity and resolve. As you said, I hope he takes a long, well-deserved break to rest and recharge before he starts cooking again
*Gege when I catch you Gege!* _I am going to congratulate you in person_ While I may join others thoughts that the ending was a bit of a low point it only happened cause the middle was such a high, Lobotomy Kaisen was unironically an experience like nl other in recent memory, to have so many people constantly speculating, updating and analyzing every bit that came out of the manga building hype and growing a following for this characters goes to show how powerful of an idea JJK really was, Gege really made an awesome manga
I just want to take bro for a drink and pick his brain, he killed it. Theres no such thing as a perfect story but he had us all hooked week by week, that alone is the gift we can only hope for when reading a manga
The jjk community was so offensive to gege ngl. The whole "he's glazing sukuna" shit for example, not using any braincell to process he was the final boss and that no hollow purple or jacob's ladder couldve for finished him, it had to be Itadori. Completely misinderstanding him with zero to no empathy for an overworked mad bugger. And now that the shitstorm is over, people start to realize. This is what's wrong with any fandom ever, and it's never getting fixed. Good on Gege for learning and I look forward to read his next works. Im also not gonna act like I wasnt part of the problem though. If I could apologise to him I would. I'd also convince him to rewrite jjk's ending now that he has free time and retcon it LMAO
It's sad that Gege himself can acknowledge his flaws but you still prop him up like he's perfect. You're just the other side of the coin of the people you deride
@@lordgrub12345 that doesn't change that just being on the opposite side of toxicity, just calling people who don't like Gege's writing stupid, isn't any better than those people
@@kanemccarthy1979 did you skip the part I said I recognized being part of the problem? I do not think gege is perfect and if I said that if I had a chance to tell him something Id convince him to re-write the ending. Jjk is NOT perfect, the drawing is inconsistent af (great backgrounds, but for some reason the next pannel is sloppy), gege forgets stuff and the way he just kills off or just incapacitates characters once they're useless. Im in my right to call people who act like degenerated monkeys exactly what they are. And this behaviour needs to be pointed out so that people reflect upon it. And dont call it "sides of a coin" because that would mean that me and people who think alike, who do positive reinforcement in tough times or constructive criticism, have the same power or impact as the loud ass people on twitter who repeat the same stupid tweet and get thousands of likes, retweets or whatever you call it. An example? When the last chapter was getting leaked, if you put #jjk271 it was full of HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS of people saying "OMG THE LAST PANNEL IS SUKUNA MIDDLE FINGER OMFG HE SAID FUK U ALL LOL *insert a drooling patrick image here*"
It's a shame he feels this way, I thought JJK was great (for the most part). Here's hoping he takes whatever lesson he learns into his next work, whenever that happens. Hoping he takes a break to, as long as he needs.
Honestly this all adds up and I saw it throughout the final fight with Sukuna. So many decisions just did not add up and that’s really cause Gege was just out of his comfort zone. The same exact thing happened in Naruto with Madara. Kishimoto didn’t even know how Madara was going to be defeated because like the other Uchihas he made them too strong.
Hey, not really question, just a comment, but after listening to this, I think he needs to make a jjk part 2. I don't necessarily think it should be his next work, but I think in continuing the story he can maybe find the self confidence or an answer to the self doubt/imposter syndrome he is going through. My reason being: creating art is a very intensive and soul shaping venture. I can't imagine what kind of pressure making jjk was for him, but what he made is what I think a lot of Shonen battle manga aim for which his version of how to end the cycle of hate. The reason I think he should make a part 2 (besides my selfish reason of wanting more manga) is that I think he only did half the work. He showed everyone how to break the cycle of hate with Yuji, but now he needs to show us how that love thrives. Show us the world Gojo envisioned. It takes more than ending hate. You also have to cultivate joy. I don't know if what I'm saying is making sense, but in short I think revisiting this work in the future will make him feel better because art doesn't just change the person viewing it, it also changes the creator. But like you said we don't know him so maybe all he needs is a break. Only time will tell.
Silv thank you so much for the support man! I totally hear what you're saying and I'm with you, I'd love to get a deeper exploration of that side of it. Fingers crossed that we may one day get a Part 2! I talk about this in my video here: th-cam.com/video/iW64yrzGd00/w-d-xo.html
He definitely seems very aware of the criticisms, esp of the ending, and this whole statement seems to be him, not making excuses, but more so him trying to rationalize and explain why things ended the way they did... or i guess it's more like why he was feeling burnt out and had trouble keeping the same quality, which i can totally understand. The pressure must've been impossibly immense on a series this big.
completely agree with this, and it seems that his "failsafe" was usually the staff around him so once he was burnt and they couldnt cover either, we got the conclusion that happened.
Of all series I hate it ends like this. Would have been one of the best of all time. Smh Loved that it was so dark and a bunch of characters didnt have dumb plot armor. So many unworthy animes get to go on for years and it sucks that this one is stopping. 😢
He lost passion for jjk when he was forced to change it from its original concept by his editors. Editors need to shut tf up and know their place. So many good mangas get ruined cos they think they know better.
JJK became the most popular manga and anime in the world... Im guessing those editors knew what they were talking about lol They brought up the school concept... Season 1 would be completely different. ALot of people like the cast pre Shibuya btw, when characters actually interacted with each other
no manga or anime is perfect. it's the ride and adventure that i enjoy the most. i rarely ever read manga unless it's ongoing animes that i really need to know like demon slayer, chainsaw man, and jjk. but i wanna thank gege for all that he has done to birth jjk. maybe im looking into it a bit much but it's thanks to jjk that i got back on my hobbies. i collect figures and cosplay so it has given me something to do. there's certain animes i watch and i enjoy it, but with jjk, i immerse myself into it. i study its mechanics and at work when its dead, i wiki and learn all it's related contents. it's given me the inspiration to cosplay more seriously because all i do is anbu and hardly any effort. although it ended abruptly, i wished to have seen some theories play out but in the end, i really enjoy the jjk ride. since 2020 ive been a fan.
He’ll only get better from this if he feels this way. I’m enamored. Super excited to see what he does next. I would hope him and ToeGODshe can connect and do something together. Akin to Batman Robin/Batman Beyond
true, there are some mistakes and missed opportunity when it come to jjk, but you gotta admit Gege manage to make one hell of a fanbase even with all its mistakes
He said the end of "jjk", not the end of the jjk world, not rulling out any prequel or sequel potential. This is the only thing i will continue to cope about until gege announce what next project he's been studying so hard for...my guess is jjk related still, but a new page.
There were many high points of being a JJK fan despite the many flaws and I'm grateful for that at least. The sadness of this message and the lower points of the story has made me realise that I don't think I enjoy the culture of these big weekly magazines like SJ anymore. Although it can skyrocket a work to popularity, it puts too much pressure on the mangaka and their teams and it's too common for both the quality of the work and the wellbeing of the creative team to suffer.
To be honest, Gege handle it really well. I mean, the pressure, the frustration of fans and himself, the hard to keep up dates of publishing... being a mangaka is hard, and specially for a "first serialization" mangaka. Idk why, but I remembered Sui Ishida, he pass through a very similar situation with Tokyo Ghoul. He suffered a lot from that manga/anime, then took a break, and now he is doing a monthly manga, in which he publish a chapter when he wants to, withouth pressure, and, to be honest, Choujin X slaps. What I'm trying to say, it's that, tho I wish this had never happened to both mangakas, all this hard time, will make them stronger and become better artists, and I am, in some sort of way, less worried by hearing Gege talking about future works, not just because I like Gege's works, but because it means a lot about his mental health... (Sorry my broken english, I'm a native spanish speaker lol)
Gege I hope you watch the videos and somehow stumble upon this comment and other positive commets. Jujutsu Kaisen was an awsomw mangaka. And I mean that wholeheartedly. No mangaka is perfect, one piece, attack on titan, naruto, death note, bleach, non of them are perfect nor where tgey perfect. All mangakas havs flaws in some way. And it is because of those moments in a story that aren't so good, that the best moments exist. You see if anything was perfect, and linear, how can we judge if its good and if its better than something else if everything is the sams? It is like life, sad days give vakue and meaning to happy days. Dont beat yourself up. Your mangaka was the first mangaka for many of us. And we love it. Cheerish it :). And Merry Christmas!
People need to just appreciate art. If you don't like it cool... if you do great. Just let people create and enjoy the ride. Gege isn't perfect but reading jujutsu kaisen sure as hell was worth it.
I guess showing everyone respecting death of not only gojo but all the fallen ones to show that the new generation isn't just cold hearted as old gen using sorcorers like tools ..... It shows how the new gen became better than old ....also bcoz gojo is a fan favourite and being cut brutally and having his "DEAD BODY" used as their benifit is what made fans angry .... And they are furious that after gojo saving their ass from getting neg diff and using his body for their benifit they just left him ? Like no respect or something? Gojo is kinda a major character in the story so I guess I can't disagree he deserved a funeral atleast in cover page or something like Megumi's sister ........ I know the hard work gege did and now feel kinda very bad for him ..... I hope he learns from mistakes as any human makes mistake ..... He should take some break ,and then make a good return with anotger manga
Really seemed like this will be a story he later resents, and for good reason. The vocal fans of this series sucked majorly. The majority of people making content on this series sucked. The readers could not read, and that has to suck as an author to know that your readers are completely and totally illiterate, and don’t understand the story you are actually telling. Hope his next works find success, but oh man do I hope the same fans don’t gravitate to what he does next.
I agree how he acknowledge but he could take time to end it without rushing, it killed most of his phasing, i wished could fix it in adaptation later on
While all the memes and jokes around Gege are funny and all, I just can't help but feel bad for this man. Dude works his ass off to get a new chapter done every week, gets sick because of it, and even has to deal with his fans attacking him because his story wasn't what they wanted it to be. Damn. Gege is not perfect. Never is and never will be, the same can be said for all of us. And while criticism is great, mindless hate definitely isn't. Unfortunately some people on the internet can't tell the difference and it sucks. Gege, when I catch you Gege. I'm gonna thank you for all the hard work you've done
If I had known this was his mental state, I would have set my expectations much lower. But I was riding the hype trai, going much too fast to see the forest for the trees.
I hope Gege does make another series, preferably something more light hearted -- they seem like a really funny person and i know the most humourous people are often ones who are also very hard on themselves. I felt that the epilogue seemed kind of awkward, and almost like they channeled that discomfort through Meg, Nobara, and Yuji. Some of the convos so far seem like the characters are disconnected from the reality of normal people's lives; they will say random serendipitous things that the other characters are just like "...huh?" because they couldn't possibly understand an explanation of what they've been through or where they are as people. Its really got a "coming into your own as an adult" sort of vibe. I wonder if that's how Gege is feeling now lol.
@@believeume122 i agree but it seems like gege had the most fun making the takaba and geto fight so i thought they might enjoy that sort of thing more. I used to think this ending was bad, but from the pov of an awkward mangaka that got serialized unexpectedly its really hilarious

I was reading JJK before the anime was even announced. Not many cared about it back then, and it had average reviews - but I knew it was something special, and I knew it would skyrocket in popularity. It was kinda sad when it did reach those heights, because then everyone started making memes, criticising it, calling it overrated, etc. (you know how it goes). Seeing all the hate towards the series during the final arc was quite upsetting; people were making it out to be one of the worst written series of all time. Sure, it had flaws, but considering it is/was Gege's first serialised manga? It's exceptional, and I truly believe it is still an amazing series. It’s upsetting to hear how hard he is on himself he made a series that was #1 on shonen jump. It’s not perfect especially with the ending stuff but it was a blast when it was coming out
I dont understand what he meant when he said he wanted to be a good person or smt
@@no3ironman11100him hating gojo was literally just a joke. Gojo fanbase took it to their heart.
Excited for his next work 🙏
That’s exactly how I read it
Yeah and I don't blame him the fandom literally gave him death threats and gege when I catch you slogans ?!!! I mean what human being can take all that after working hours as a mangaka .....
The story has it's fault and I also have criticised him multiple times and sometimes has been harsh .....but now I feel sorry for the things and how he felt
We should respect him atleast .....

I mean it started out great and then the criticisms came as he self admittedly became absent minded. Yeah people are harsh with all mangakas. Especially as a lack of consistency is seen

There'll never be a manga culture like JJK. U can say it was wrong for the leaks but the discussions weekly cos of the leaks and memes was legendary.
good. it was impossible to be anywhere near the community and not get spoiled every week

Gege really is one of the best in recent years, hope this is mostly satire because in all honesty he’s just tryin his best like the rest of us
This can often be the state of a creative.

Whatever they decide to do next, I know it'll be great and I can't wait to see it.
It's more than his first serialization. It is his life's work. His own art and masterpiece. Unfiltered and pure.
Damn.
Although admittedly I had gained extreme negative feelings toward JJK (mostly due to everything after Shibuya Incident and how that retroactively gave the otherwise lightning-in-a-bottle story arc a bad aftertaste with the admittedly lame conclusions to it’s established plot-lines)…
It was still arguably one of the greatest ”new-gen” manga of today, especially with how it gave birth to the (when compared to most animeme communities) *the funniest anime community **_of ALL TIME._*
I wish Gege Akutami all the luck in successfully following-up JJK, whatever the series may be.
Imposter syndrome can be a strength when trying to write tons of different personalities.
There were many things I ended up disliking about jjk but it’s still a work of art that’s better and more successful than the majority of people could accomplish. I hope he’s not too hard on himself or discouraged

Thank you Gege, for giving birth to JJK, an amazingly unique shonen. I love every bit of it, and I look forward to your future works.
Jjk has a good power system but hxh is elite, if jjk had more time it could likely catch up in terms of power systems.
Gege and Hori (MHA) can bond and support each other after finishing their manga. Both having a lot pressure on their shoulders for being weekly shonen jump mangaka.
3:35 “from the jump” hehe😄
But anyway, for the memes, I'll say one last thing. Stand proud Akutami, you truly created an excellent story.
*Gege when I catch you Gege!*
_I am going to congratulate you in person_
While I may join others thoughts that the ending was a bit of a low point it only happened cause the middle was such a high, Lobotomy Kaisen was unironically an experience like nl other in recent memory, to have so many people constantly speculating, updating and analyzing every bit that came out of the manga building hype and growing a following for this characters goes to show how powerful of an idea JJK really was, Gege really made an awesome manga
He's really following Togashi's foot steps
I just want to take bro for a drink and pick his brain, he killed it. Theres no such thing as a perfect story but he had us all hooked week by week, that alone is the gift we can only hope for when reading a manga
i just want more jjk.. :(
the Gecko Moria reference is funny lol

It seems like a mix of irl pressure+fandom pressure+inexperience that caused gege to get jaded and have things go downhill in his manga.
Thanks Gege your characters helped me with my therapy. (and I know it happened to other people as well)
There's a little Gege in all of us
Hey, not really question, just a comment, but after listening to this, I think he needs to make a jjk part 2.

Editors do help too. There have been some good suggestions too. I think Vegeta living past the Saiyan arc was an editors nudge if I remember right

true, there are some mistakes and missed opportunity when it come to jjk, but you gotta admit Gege manage to make one hell of a fanbase even with all its mistakes
Poor gege. The internet did him so dirty honestly and he deserved better
GeGe changed the world and meme culture for ever.

If I had known this was his mental state, I would have set my expectations much lower. But I was riding the hype trai, going much too fast to see the forest for the trees.
Origato Gege Sama! ❤❤
Nope he does dark well
@@believeume122 i agree but it seems like gege had the most fun making the takaba and geto fight so i thought they might enjoy that sort of thing more. I used to think this ending was bad, but from the pov of an awkward mangaka that got serialized unexpectedly its really hilarious
We love you Gege! Sorry the haterish hive mind of the internet is what is the loudest thing out there a lot of these folks need professional help to deal with their inner issues they are projecting onto you & your art.
All you creators out there are loved by your unique communities take LONG mental health breaks from the internet, stay grounded with more time in the real world than scrolling through the stupid comments, & keep in therapy even when things are good!
Hugs, success and kindness to you creatives out there, no matter the medium! 🥰😊🤗
He is 100% going to write jjk part 2. Whether he does the art himself is another story. Will probably go the route of murata and one.
There's still to fix the ending, like what horikoshin did when he made new ending for hero academia
I still like jujutsu kaisen even if there are some flaws or things I wish were more added on I still like the story
I am somewhat dreading the Sakamoto Days anime, because I feel like the same thing may happen... Fingers crossed it doesn't get too crazy.
Gege when I catch you gege I would hug you😊
Gege is actually such a good author
Gege being infected with JJK Brainrot truly comes full circle
Anyone know where I can read the epilogue?
Gege you are my special Gege
