Blackbeard is my absolute favorite character of the series. I really want him to be the last bad guy, not Imu. Imu is kind of boring and whats going on between BB and Luffy is much more personal

I have a similar theory in terms of Xebec transferring his "will" to a baby Blackbeard. Mine is Xebec transferring his actual soul to a baby Blackbeard and not with Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, I genuinely believe Xebec is the only other person in existence, except Imu and his minions, to actually learn Alchemy/Black Magic. And then Blackbeard got such a unique body that Xebec was able to house his soul, Teach's soul, and snatch another soul to have it all in Blackbeard...the third soul I believe is Davey Jones himself.

I think that’s why there’s the three personalities. One is Xebec, One is Teach himself and the other is Davey. It’s completely possible that Xebec took control of Teach to get that darkness fruit because it was possibly his or he saw it at God Valley. I think it’s the same for Whitebeards devil fruit too and Xebec might’ve saw how it could be used to destroy the Red Line potentially thus needing Teach to obtain it

It's never been shown or implied that Blackbeard needs to force people to his side. If anything, it's shown that he also has natural magnetism like Luffy. His ridiculously powerful crew joined him by their own choice when presented with his offer at Impel Down, and when we're shown how they interact in their down time they have a similar fun goofy dynamic to the Straw Hats

I think I can say, Blackbeard devil fruit looks like a cluster of RAINDROPS. Here's another thing, BB df is the YAMI YAMI no mi, of course. But if you take the I out from YAMI and put an E, it would be "YAMÉ". YAMÉ is Japanese for RAIN. The irony that NAMI hinted at something like this during Fishman island arc. BB has a move literally translates from Japanese into english as DARK WATER. It would be the perfect opposite to luffy DF. If luffy is the SUNGOD, I think his complete opposite would be the MOON, RAIN or DEEP SEA DARKNESS something that wpuld probablybe represented by DAVY JONES since weve heard so much throughoutthe story about DAVY just like NIKA. I really like the part in the middle. Some things I wasn't aware of like the '8' number, and parallels between sun and moon (Luffy and Blackbeard). Most fans know about the 3 number. It's definitely too well thought out when you start looking into the number of how many phases of the moon there are (its 8). Clues to his moon related power are probably in that too.
@dendenkushi nah it's more likely he get an ancient weapon but either way he needs battle feats beating ace is still his best feat to date. I mean scarring shanks is nice and all but even zoro scarred kaido. Blackbeard needs to body at least 2 holy knights and preferably kill dragon to keep yonkou title. His yonkou title honestly is overrated with no battle feats. Shanks too.
You should read the manga the fights off screen there he not struggle as much like the anime that has to extend fights and add fan service to make it look like characters have a chance when they not have one

I'm not following the Garp becomes Xebec theory so I'll have to look into that but here's something I thought up: Blackbeard has access to Pudding at the moment. Everyone assumed he would want to see what really happened at God Valley or find some details about the One Piece but if Xebec possess Garp as you suggest who's to say it doesn't happen via memory? Pudding can and has swapped memories, changing entire thought processes so if she were to tweak Garp seeing Xebec's "end" to some sort of acceptance of his will, or to pass Garp some leftover memories of Xebec from Blackbeard, couldn't it change his entire being? The thought honestly scares me writing wise as it sounds cringey but it's consistent with what she's capable of
I wonder if blackbeard is xebec. Not s clone or a descendant but xebec himself. Kuma and bonney have been getting a lot of screentime and god valley was an arc about strong devil fruits. So I wonder if it's possible this version of blackbeard is the "bad" timeline of xebec since those ones tend for them to look exaggerated ugliness. Bonneys fruit allows the person being affected to keep their memories. But what if someone wanted to give xebec another chance to be good but nature beat nurture and xebec ironically enough found his way to his former crewmate whitebeard. Like humans, he can only have one ability but due to modifications applied to Blackbeard’s soul and the cursed fruit itself, he is able to contain three entities with the maximum strength of all the fruit welders from before, in addition to his own.
Drum island forshadowing is my favorite. In anime at first vivi and dalton talk about blackbeard coming to country and destroying it, the next scene luffy says to sanji “hey did you know there are people who don’t sleep?”
it had never made sense for Blackbeard´s Devil Fruit to be considered as a Logia because it is way too different to any real Logia - just look at his fight with Ace. We have multiple Devil Fruits with Logia-like abilities and powers who are still considered to be Paramecia.
It doesn't make sense that Luffy is a zoan either. It is just way too different from any other Zoan fruit. The darkness fruit is just fine being a weird logia.

I believe that maybe if Rox used the yami yami no mi’s power to someone extract power from the paw paw fruit to pass on his will. It was probably given to Laffette and probably told by Rox to ensure that his will lives on. I believe that Laffette was on Rox’s crew as that one shadowy figure who was never revealed. I believe he found black beard as a child and passed on Rox’s will either through a paw paw fruit bubble or by some other means.
Also, God Valley got the name from the people who lived there because of the abundance of nature resource, which we still don't know what that was. If that resource in rare in the One Piece world, then it would make sense for pirates to want to steal it. Additionally, Vegapunk said on Egghead that he could make anything if he had more money and resources. What if this unknown resource from God Valley is the key to making things like the clones from MADS, which we know Stussy is 36 which is 2 years after the God Valley incident.
I thought the Boa sisters were just forced to eat their fruits? I don't have anything profound to add, but here are some thoughts I have that sit adjacent to your theory: - I think Shanks stole Luffy's fruit thinking it was Blackbeard's. This is why he stole it, then treated it with such little regard by not even locking the chest he was carrying it in. Whether or not he attacked the ship with that intent or found the fruit along the way I can't really guess - Gag character or not, I think Buggy is connected to God Valley and maybe even Xebec. He's a similar age to Shanks and Blackbeard and routinely shows up adjacent to both (all 3 are prominent to Luffy, although with Buggy it's for being a clown in the derogatory sense 😂, all 3 are now Yonko, and all 3 are direct underlings of a legendary crew). It's also interesting to note Buggy does have a unique hair color of which nobody's explained or commented on (assuming it's natural) whereas Shanks' red hair is his defining feature although others have it. If and when Buggy's origin is revealed, I expect something insane. I also think he will fail his way into becoming Pirate King some time after Luffy (I think Luffy dies EoS) Ugh you mentioned some of that by the end - Anybody else feel as though Xebec may be nothing like what we're told? Assuming he's a powerful character, which I'm not entirely sold on tbh as I think a Davy Back Fight might've been the end of his career (pirate island started those fights and Xebec founded that island) who's to say he wasn't a good dude? Who's to say he wasn't a gag character of sorts....like Roger's version of Buggy. They never said he was the strongest foe Roger had, just that he was Roger's "first foe". Buggy is Luffy's first prominent foe and is the only man to damage his hat. If Oda trolls us with Xebec being a highly successful scam I wouldn't even be surprised as we're already seeing it with Buggy every major event - I agree that Jack's treasure is in Hachinosu but I doubt Blackbeard hasn't found it or figured it out yet considering he's such a history buff. At the same time who's to say that's something he values going after assuming he tried and hasn't discovered it Just food for thought

Something abt this theory I really like, is once again Oda may have foreshadowed this in the first saga. Remember how Capt. Morgan defeated him and went to be a civilian butler until the time was right to come out of hiding. So Morgan has this super inflated ego he projects because deep down he knows hes a fraud. And who's the one who gets his introduction by beating up Morgan? Garp
saying that Sabo parents were absent is a bit of stretch, he lived with his parents up until the attack on the broken part of the city, but i agree they didn't quite understand how sabo was seeing the world, thus didnt understand him
What if Rocks wasn't the same kind of person that the Gov and others make him out to be and he's actually alive and may even be the man marked by flames. Or maybe Garp and Roger changed his mind and sent him out to get the Poneglyph since he's the only one who could basically single handedly handle anything thrown at him.
For the mother carmel and big mom case, i dont think its multiple people of the same body as luffy and zoro doesnt really address big mom as "they". What i think happened is that devil fruits serve as the vessel of the "devil fruit spirit" that has that specific power and when a person eats it, that person becomes the vessel instead of the fruit. In big mom's case, mother carmel was the vessel hence big mom eating mother carmel was just like eating a normal devil fruit and she became the new user of the fruit/devil fruit power. I wonder if things like will and memories are inherited in devil fruits tho as it gets passed from one user to another.
Ok so I don't think the Ancient weapons were weapons. I believe they were something like the Haki Knot & Weatheria. I believe the Ancient Weapons were associated with the planets for the same reason the 5 elders hold specific titles as Heads of Agriculture, Science etc. The Ancient weapons were various ways to free the world of a hardship. I think each Ancient weapon held different ways to help the world be free of something. And Joyboy wanted to make more things. I've not seen a single theory that Joyboy was a craftsman. I do think Luffy represents the sun, and Imu represents the moon, but I don't think Blackbeard represents the moon. I think blackbeard represents the transition period between both where neither the sun or moon can be seen. I think blackbeard will take control of the world ending Imu's era mak8ng the era of 'unending darkness' so the dawn brought by Luffy can be so much brighter by contrast.

Does this imply Blackbeard is Luffy's cousin? I liked the idea of Blackbeard and Luffy being parallel descendants of JoyBoy--Blackbeard his biological descendant, and Luffy inheritor of his will, but if they're relatives to each other, this is no longer possible, and instead we just have a Star Wars or Shippuden universe where every underdog is actually an aristocrat, which is frankly boring.

I always thought it was funny how at Marineford, BB gets his 2nd DF & the Marines still prioritize the son of Dragon 😂 Sakazuki has a deep hate boner for Dragon. His yonkou title honestly is overrated with no battle feats. Shanks too.

Blackbeard has access to Pudding at the moment. Everyone assumed he would want to see what really happened at God Valley or find some details about the One Piece but if Xebec possess Garp as you suggest who's to say it doesn't happen via memory? Pudding can and has swapped memories, changing entire thought processes so if she were to tweak Garp seeing Xebec's "end" to some sort of acceptance of his will, or to pass Garp some leftover memories of Xebec from Blackbeard, couldn't it change his entire being?

So I wonder if it's possible this version of blackbeard is the "bad" timeline of xebec since those ones tend for them to look exaggerated ugliness. Bonneys fruit allows the person being affected to keep their memories. But what if someone wanted to give xebec another chance to be good but nature beat nurture and xebec ironically enough found his way to his former crewmate whitebeard. This is probably way off but it could explain why he got pudding AND garp. Maybe he wanted to see garps memories to find out the truth of what happened that day

it had never made sense for Blackbeard´s Devil Fruit to be considered as a Logia because it is way too different to any real Logia - just look at his fight with Ace. We have multiple Devil Fruits with Logia-like abilities and powers who are still considered to be Paramecia.
It doesn't make sense that Luffy is a zoan either. It is just way too different from any other Zoan fruit. The darkness fruit is just fine being a weird logia.

I believe that maybe if Rox used the yami yami no mi’s power to someone extract power from the paw paw fruit to pass on his will. It was probably given to Laffette and probably told by Rox to ensure that his will lives on. I believe that Laffette was on Rox’s crew as that one shadowy figure who was never revealed. I believe he found black beard as a child and passed on Rox’s will either through a paw paw fruit bubble or by some other means.

If that resource in rare in the One Piece world, then it would make sense for pirates to want to steal it. Additionally, Vegapunk said on Egghead that he could make anything if he had more money and resources. What if this unknown resource from God Valley is the key to making things like the clones from MADS, which we know Stussy is 36 which is 2 years after the God Valley incident.

I don't have anything profound to add, but here are some thoughts I have that sit adjacent to your theory:
- I think Shanks stole Luffy's fruit thinking it was Blackbeard's. This is why he stole it, then treated it with such little regard by not even locking the chest he was carrying it in. Whether or not he attacked the ship with that intent or found the fruit along the way I can't really guess
- Gag character or not, I think Buggy is connected to God Valley and maybe even Xebec. He's a similar age to Shanks and Blackbeard and routinely shows up adjacent to both (all 3 are prominent to Luffy, although with Buggy it's for being a clown in the derogatory sense 😂, all 3 are now Yonko, and all 3 are direct underlings of a legendary crew). It's also interesting to note Buggy does have a unique hair color of which nobody's explained or commented on (assuming it's natural) whereas Shanks' red hair is his defining feature although others have it. If and when Buggy's origin is revealed, I expect something insane. I also think he will fail his way into becoming Pirate King some time after Luffy (I think Luffy dies EoS)

- Anybody else feel as though Xebec may be nothing like what we're told? Assuming he's a powerful character, which I'm not entirely sold on tbh as I think a Davy Back Fight might've been the end of his career (pirate island started those fights and Xebec founded that island) who's to say he wasn't a good dude? Who's to say he wasn't a gag character of sorts....like Roger's version of Buggy. They never said he was the strongest foe Roger had, just that he was Roger's "first foe". Buggy is Luffy's first prominent foe and is the only man to damage his hat. If Oda trolls us with Xebec being a highly successful scam I wouldn't even be surprised as we're already seeing it with Buggy every major event
- I agree that Jack's treasure is in Hachinosu but I doubt Blackbeard hasn't found it or figured it out yet considering he's such a history buff. At the same time who's to say that's something he values going after assuming he tried and hasn't discovered it

For the mother carmel and big mom case, i dont think its multiple people of the same body as luffy and zoro doesnt really address big mom as "they". What i think happened is that devil fruits serve as the vessel of the "devil fruit spirit" that has that specific power and when a person eats it, that person becomes the vessel instead of the fruit. In big mom's case, mother carmel was the vessel hence big mom eating mother carmel was just like eating a normal devil fruit and she became the new user of the fruit/devil fruit power.
I wonder if things like will and memories are inherited in devil fruits tho as it gets passed from one user to another.

Ok so I don't think the Ancient weapons were weapons. I believe they were something like the Haki Knot & Weatheria. I believe the Ancient Weapons were associated with the planets for the same reason the 5 elders hold specific titles as Heads of Agriculture, Science etc. The Ancient weapons were various ways to free the world of a hardship. I think each Ancient weapon held different ways to help the world be free of something. And Joyboy wanted to make more things. I've not seen a single theory that Joyboy was a craftsman. I don't understand why not though? He had a trade before setting sail and creating a pirate crew later to be named.

I do think Luffy represents the sun, and Imu represents the moon, but I don't think Blackbeard represents the moon. I think blackbeard represents the transition period between both where neither the sun or moon can be seen. I think blackbeard will take control of the world ending Imu's era mak8ng the era of 'unending darkness' so the dawn brought by Luffy can be so much brighter by contrast.
