It was quite popular 20 some years ago in some parts of the world. We had specials blenders that separates soy bean and the soy milk at home. Lots of people make their own soy milk and by extension soy milk derived products at home during that time.

Moe…this process of making Tofu is very similar to the way I make Marscapone cheese. I am Italian and, even for me, this is a time consuming process. I make it with my youngest daughter Mandi, she’s almost 19. And each time we get excited like we have never made it before! If you keep doing this with Sutan, she will carry this memory all her life and will teach her children, using the funny memories of this day.
I love this series on making traditional everyday Japanese food items! I have one of these Japenae Cyprus tofu presses and started making tofu during COVID - it's SO yummy. ( I use the traditional Japanese nigari for my coagulant/thickener.)

Thank you for the notification. (Now it is 10:33 in Berlin.) I have learned that making tofu is a stressful adventure at home. As a hobby it is wonderful if you have enough time for it. I regularly buy good quality tofu at my supermarket and prepare it in different ways. My favourite preparing is to fry it in a pan a little bit with soy sauce. This is always delicious.

when u said its similar to milk and vinegar or lemon it really is thats how we make paneer in south asia which is with milk but the process of making tofu is really similar to how my mum used to make paneer .

以前、テレビで豆腐屋さんを取材して、にがりを入れる温度や入れ方で味が変わるんだ!って言っていました。微妙なさじ加減が必要で、成功するか心配していましたが、家庭でも美味しい豆腐が作れそうですね。
外国の方も豆腐が大豆で出来ていることを知らない人も多いと思うので、いい動画になったと思います。
