You're welcome! I looked for similar style content when I decided I wanted to discover local courses and didn't find much. So I decided to attempt doing these videos to then be able to remember my visits, as well as showcase the courses to others. I'd love to do ROW at some stage when the weather improves as it's fairly close. Maybe put in a nice word for me to help with those green fees 😜
I'm probably done filming for the year now with the weather (and work) not being great, but will hopefully get there next year 🤞 Plenty more courses to edit and post though - I managed 60 this year 😎
Great short game and putting. We discussed earlier your fade and whether it was good or a fault. Seems like when you swing out to in the ball fades back into play. When it’s more neutral it fades way right. When it out to in but the club face is square to path it’s a straight. pull left. I’m no golf coach just fun to see. I greatly enjoy your videos. Thanks CJ.
I played again this weekend and still can't figure out what I'm doing! I really need to get myself a lesson or two to stop, or at least control the fade. I lose so much distance from it 🙄 At least folks like yourself are enjoying me showing them some lovely courses!!
Good round . CJ i do not profess to be a good golfer ( 14.4) but when you pull it left , because you are trying to knock 7 bells out of it , your left leg moves just as you hit it . Last few holes OK . Try just putting your left leg forward a bit . Cracking short game .
Thank you - I do rely on my short game to save me a few shots here and there. My 8 iron bump and run is a go to shot! I'm no great swing technician, usually falling back on muscle memory from golfing as a lad but my greatest challenge is combating the fade/slice. I have soreness in my wrists so I think a lot of my problems come from my weak grip. I think the involuntary leg/feet movements then follow on from that. I often look at my set up on these videos as well which often isn't aligned square and sometimes I hit across the line and other times it's square. At the end of the day, I'm just happy to play, and remember playing on these lovely courses via these videos. I really loved the back 9 at Gloucester ❤
Shot tracers are done manually in After Effects. They take the longest time when putting a video together but I feel they do add good value in reminding me where the shot went 😆
Just a smart phone. It's awkward enough setting that up for each shot, let alone worrying about a proper camera. I'm always super conscious of taking too much time when I play, so try and choose quieter times of the day to not affect others on the course.
Hey CJ what editing software or App do you use that your able to add the score card to the video? I’ve been trying to figure out myself how to do that forever. Hahaha
It's all filmed on my phone (on a tripod). Editing is done with Adobe Premiere Pro and the various graphics were made by me in Adobe After Effects. I'm a bit of an IT nerd so wanted to create something that I could easily drop into Premiere Pro.
@@CJsGolf A you were able to do all of this on your smartphone? I’m 30 years old and have been golfing my whole life and wanted to start TH-cam but I’m not as Tech savvy as I should be so I’m trying to learn how to edit videos and what apps to use an everything
Thanks for doing these videos, gives me a chance to see a course to see if I want to play it. Please keep making them. ROWGC member

@ you can be my guest and it’s £32. The course is in good condition at the moment except for the leaves

great video. 15 and 18 look really nice holes as you see the fairway from the tees.
The back 9 at Gloucester is fabulous with some great driving holes.

played neighbouring Rodway many times but never here
Must play Rodway again next year when it's dry! Gloucester is great and the back 9 is super. Love those views up top 😎
Good round of golf !!
Thank you! Could have been even better without the two lost balls 🤦♂️
There is. I way your ball is ending up where you are hitting. I have noticed it on a few of your course blogs now. 😮
My setup is not the greatest I admit. Even when I consciously try to square things up I still slice it! I need a lesson or two...

Also what did you use in order to have the Shot tracer on all of your swings?
Shot tracers are done manually in After Effects. They take the longest time when putting a video together but I feel they do add good value in reminding me where the shot went 😆
Did you film this with your phone? Or a nice Camera?

@@CJsGolf so does that mean you uploaded the footage to your computer and did the editing through there? You didn’t do the editing on your phone?
That's correct. All editing done on my PC
Clearly decent golfer, what’s your handicap? Great short game
Thank you. No official handicap but if I play to around 10, I'm more than pleased. Short game often helps me out with that!
