For everyone at the beginner point of origin: putting your head outside of the risers and "feeling" the corresponding riser with your chest / collarbone is a big step in handling like an ace. Try to step sideways to the leading edge side. It's also nice to handle to the top like this with the wingtip almost touching the ground. Cheers PP!
There's so many good tutorials regarding the cobra on TH-cam! Not only are there different methods, but a lot of knowledge to learn by trying the cobra in different situations and ways of executing it 👍 It's one of the greatest manoeuvres to build your groundhandlning skill around 😎
The wind strength was decreasing during later hours of the day from 10m/s to 7 m/s and when we quit for the day it was about 4-5 m/s. Although the shape of the ridge is the biggest factor to the strong compression. The landing attempts where done in 8-9 m/s I guess. Not too bad, but I wouldn't recommend a beginner pilot to fly there. One pilot even climbed down the ridge to launch due to the funky wind flow over the launch site. Different strokes for different boats 😅
A couple of deep brake pumps while turning into wind will greatly reduce your ground speed and let you come down very easily on the edge , also if you come about 3-5 feet back from the edge you will be able to put just the leading edge into the compression but the rotor wont be dangerous. Anyways nice video, looked like you and your friends were having fun
Thank you for sharing your ideas! You're completely right, we had a blast. Stay tuned for another day on this trip, there's another video on it's way 😉
Nei nei nei rør inte 🤣 #samtykke :p
kul plass :)
Hvor sterkt blåser det?
Alla kan inte vara woke 😅
Vindstyrkan gick från 9-11 m/s under dagen till att sjunka ned mot 4-5 m/s när vi avslutade för dagen.
@@ParaglidingPartner bra vingekontroll 👌👌

Wow ! That was borderline too windy! Very good you managed it though :)

15knots?
About 15-20 knots the first couple of hours and 13-14 knots when we gave up for the day in the evening 👍

Good work Niklas. But you need to listen more to wise Pierre😊
Haha, I did actually. He said that "it looks good" and I could do nothing but agree with him 😉
