Yeah I fly with Aeromexico every year they’ve never disappointed me they are truly one of the best airlines out there with their professionalism, service, and comfort

MATEO RUBIO CARDENAS name a mega city with 9 million people (21 million for greater Mexico City) that doesn’t deal with pollution plus the city government has made great progress in the last couple years with pollution laws/vehicle traffic but yes still needs improvement
MATEO RUBIO CARDENAS Singapore is a country (aka city-state) also it’s a island with only 5.7 million residents when the metro area of CDMX has 21 million (9 million in the official city borders ) can’t really compare the two due to the population difference which is huge and due to the geography being so different one has water all around the other (CDMX) has mountains all around that trap the pollution I’ve lived in both places working in the finance industry I’d pick CDMX any day over Singapore also to be classified a “mega city” it has to have a population of at least 10 million in the metro area some examples CDMX,Mumbai, NYC, Moscow, Beijing,Lagos ,Delhi, Cairo Singapore doesn’t fit into the category of a “mega city” not even close
I used to think that Aeromexico was just ripping you off (they're more expensive than air france or klm) but GODDAMNIT that looked good🤗 from now on I'll try to convince myself to pay those 100 extra euros for all that legroom on my national airline👏
Lolo Yiravik Keep an eye out, I flew MEX-MAN last year for 6,000 pesos (I believe it was an error fare but me and my friend were lucky to get it) flying MEX-AMS with Aeromexico and KLM on the AMS-MAN route
Aeroméxico is the decent national airline, it’s main competitor volaris did rip you off charging like 100 pesos (5 usd) for a sandwich and the ticket itself is more expensive in national flights. Its second competitor interjet fucking died, SAT (mexican version of the IRS) shut it down because they didn’t pay their workers

I had the opportunity to fly Aeromexico on their 737-800 from LAX to Mexico City and next to flying to London on Virgin Atlantic, the best service I've had in economy. From arrival at check-in, Aeromexico upgraded me to exit row and allowed my bag to be checked in free of charge due to the flight being full. When it comes to Mexican airlines I SUPER recommend spending the extra money and flying with Aeromexico. Interjet comes second (as it uses older aircraft) and Volaris (the most budget airline) in third. Thanks for the trip report! I love this channel!
The catering and the meal portion that Aeromexico offers in Economy looks pretty generous! You will hardly see wine glasses in Economy Class nowadays! :D

Aeromexico is the best airline in our country! That plane is the most representative of the airline, the "Quetzalcóatl", in our culture he was a God. The green drawing at the side and almost at the tip of the plane is the image of him, you can see it at the end of the video By the way.. the WIFI works above 10,000ft.

Great trip report! Lucky of you to get this special livery aircraft. The legroom was amazing even for this long flight. The cabin was beautiful, and the price for total routes was very cheap
Pity that you flew to São Paulo (or was it David?) via Viracopos airport in Campinas, 100 km from the larger city (though Campinas, with over 1 million people and over 2 million metro, is not exactly small either). A night arrival at São Paulo-Congonhas (CGH) domestic airport is even more dramatic, because São Paulo is of comparable size to Mexico City (both over 20 million people metro!) and just as sprawling, but the airport is right in the middle of it and very close to several major business districts. In the approach from the north (the most common) you fly *very low* over a maze of tall skyscrapers (I recommend a left window seat). Nearby Ibirapuera shopping mall is a great spotting place - it lies right on the approach path, just 1 km from the northern CGH runway end, and it looks like planes are going to land on the mall roof (or just took off from it). You can probably find some TH-cam videos of night landings at Congonhas to have an idea. Arrivals at Guarulhos International (GRU) are not very dramatic, because the larger airport is far out on the outskirts of the city and all you will see nearby is some impoverished ugly suburbs. Still, the view from a right-side window seat (assuming the plane lands from the west, which is more common) can be impressive, with the huge urban mass of São Paulo in the distance.
Lucky you ! I took Amsterdam -Mexico city one week ago and i got only croissant, apples and yogurt NOT scrambled eggs with sausage. And i was traveling Aeromexico plus that they charge extra 200 usd one way !
I did not knew about the electric outlets under the seat the USB ports didn’t work when I flew this route August last year, my flight MEX-AMS was one of the worst for me since I was sitting by the window and the person in the aisle slept through the whole flight I couldn’t use the restroom or get napkins since I had a runny nose and I felt the plane was very cold as soon as we landed I ran to the toilets. On the way back a whole different story, I got upgraded to AM Plus (which are seats with bigger legroom yet nothing else to be considered PE) with an aisle seat and pajamas which I bought over there and slept like a baby during the flight back. Thumbs up and great video!
A very good, informative report--concise and thorough. Well done. I flew Aeromexico once, maybe 35 years ago and they were awful; glad to know things have improved considerably.
Not the very best years for the airline, that year they went bankrupt and totally shutdown. After that the airline was reborn from Aeronaves de Mexico to Aerovias de Mexico; they used the same short name: Aeromexico and stil use it today :D. Hope this explains a little about your experience.
Awesome! I love the AeroMexico 787 livery. It makes it look much more special than the other aircraft with its standard livery. Might I suggest one day trying an airline in Canada, preferably Porter?

i miss these times..... that you can fly normal and relaxed, now well its allot of papers you have to sign where a mask allot 2020 has been a rough year lets all pray for 2021 for things to get better
Aeromexico is IMHO one of the BEST MEXICAN AIRLINES.. I mean sure you can have a delay once in a while but if you know how to do your check in, arrive early and well know how to fly, you will have no problems whatsoever!! The food is way better than other airlines like American or Latam seriously. Plus you-ll have a bit MORE space with the seats even in economy.
It’s the first time that I really see in a trip report that such food will be flattering for a Chinese. That indeed is super duper healthy, and they can cater pretty much everyone on flights to China on this.
