Leadership roles, communication, and active learning - all of what I call the skills needed for the possibilitarian in training! This is a flexible learning environment and encourages growth in areas that will prepare me for the next step of my career building.
I experienced this when I took you my undergrad year so I managed to do the project myself because I was having problem with my partners for my semester project.
For my team goals is to communicate, to call and text them. To be very organized with my team. I really want to do well on this class. Class projects are difficult because not everyone does there part. I do , if i want a good evaluation and an amazing grade on my projects I will help out. We work as a team and a team means helping each other. We are a team and we are here to grow our relationship not only for this class but for the future too.
For the team goals, we would all have to be an active listener and have great communication. Reaching out and seeing if they need any help and are stuck on a certain question, or feel completely lost. Doing these things would not only help yourself but as a team as a whole. If they don't reply or just stop we'll deduct points on the grading criteria.
What did you learn and shout out Be an active learner in the process - think about your goals. Be an active participant and try to solve it. Have good communication with your teammates. If a problem persists (does not communicate) - Brainstorm with the team and what are the next action steps you need to take and how to communicate with the individual. Keep communication log.Remind individuals there will be an evaluation. Peer evaluation form. You can grade yourself and your peers 3rd step - If they do not do anything (drop course or don’t complete project at all). My role tends to be team lead.
Being a good listener with team members is important because we create a relationship around trust and clear communication. This will enhance the collaboration, leading to a more cohesive and productive team. If I have a team member who doesn't participate communicate with the team and let the member know about the peer review at the end of the semester and specify how their participation will be graded.
Team goals to help my team succeed in our project is communication. I understand everyone is busy with life (school, work, family). That is why our team created a text message and group me chat to keep the communication strong and we plan to meet up to discuss our project in person at a local Starbucks.
A few steps I can take if my team members do not pull their weight in class are open communication, setting expectations, and offering support. These are the steps that we can use to ensure we succeed this semester.
James S. - MGMT 5322: "No man is an island". We all have to learn how to work with people regardless of who you are you are going to be dealing with people in some aspect of your life so it is important know how to communicate effectively and respectfully.
My team goal is to establish effective communication with all of my team members. I aim to be an active listener and participant in any group meeting or activity. In order to benefit and support my group members, I will take the initiative in reaching out to my group and try to work together in any opportunity available. It is important that as a group I am able to answer any questions that they may have, and that I am able to also ask questions if I find that I am confused.
