GREAT JOB! Completely agree with you. I have become a huge fan of SS. I love the fact the plan is not about body sculpting but getting the individual strong and healthy. 315 deadlift is awesome.
Very Impressive Pull ! Recently attended the BOS dead lift seminar with Arthur and a Coach ( sorry forgot his name ). They did a great job breaking down the mechanics and learning to creating a lever with your body. Hopefully, if things work out a can join the gym.
For 1 rep or 5 reps? Both are extremely impressive, but there's a pretty big difference that's worth mentioning I think. 315 for 5 at her age would actually be kind of insane.
@@greghamilton9505 I did watch, and it wasn't stated whether it was 1 or 5 reps, although the video of her lifting what looks like 305 points to it being 1 rep. I'm not diminishing her accomplishments at all. She's stronger than most men and it's very impressive! My comment was more a critique of these SS testimonials where they often use 5 and 1 rep maxes interchangeably. There's a huge difference between a 1 rep max and a 5 rep max and these numbers can alter expectations.
What was even more impressive is she lifted that weight with a double overhand grip. Couldn’t tell if she used a thumb grip or not. Looked like it was a straight overhand grip though.
4:29 - I really don't get why she's comparing SS to Crossfit. The goals of both gyms are much different. Crossfit never claimed to focus on strength. They work on everything. High reps, low reps, running, skipping rope, etc. Totally different focus.

I want to have a beer with her and just soak up her knowledge. So much self awareness and confidence.
I would lose my mind if I went into a gym and seen this woman deadlift 315, in a good way
Awesome. She's definitely an inspiration to anyone around her age group. Hope she's still lifting!
Great interview Laura. And it's nice to see June Bug make an appearance on camera.
🙌🏾 This is why I lift! 🙌🏾 GO Laura!
Awesome achievements. Great interview. Congrats Laura.
Wow congrats! That is some serious progress for 9 months. 👍🏼

Wow man she deadlifts more than most 20 year olds I served with
Nice job, Laura!👏👏
Bravo!!!
I love her attitude!
Great attitude! Keep up the good work.
Inspiring. You guys are doing great work
Strong ass woman. Get it!!!!! 💪💪💪💪💪
she sounds very smart and knowledgeable
Fantastic interview. Inspiring. Do you mind me asking what mic you used to get her voice so clear? regards Jamie Brisbane Australia
Deadlifting more than most guys in my gym!!
Nothing like lifting over 300 lbs to "take the edge off".
super impressive!!
Laura, I am 56, good job and I always tell people, that I weight lift so I don't break a hip getting off the toilet in my old age.
She's prolly stronger than 99% of athlean x viewers who breathe out before squatting lol
Good stuff!!!
Wow her OHP number is the most impressive I think
Congrats Laura! (BTW, I would have guessed that you were 45!)
Wow!
6:55 💪
Let's see u lift girl!

Did you watch ? And no it doesn’t matter. What matters is she tripled her dead. If she tripled her 1 rep max or she tripled her x5 it’s all great

Does she still lift?

she does 300 at 6:50
No snatching her purse, she can pull 315! Lol
June Bug was just asking for some pets.
