I have both radio stations and I have a different opinion. It all depends on how the first and second input circuits of the receiver are set. Each receiving input circuit has only one frequency at which it produces the best results. Here, it is very important at which frequency the input circuits of the receiver are tuned. The Lincoln II+ has a wider reception area than the Jackson (channels). The receiver part on the Lincoln II+ is set to 28.5Mhz, and on the Jackson set to 27.6MHz, and that's why Jackson is the winner in this duel. But when I tuned the receiver on the Lincoln II+ to 27.6MHz, the result was slightly better than on the Jackson. Likewise, the Jackson speaker has a slightly deeper and better sound just because it is a little bigger. When headphones are put on, there is no difference. I want to say that the Lincoln II+ is factory tuned for the best reception at frequencies about 28,5MHz, regardless of whether or not it has the 1K resistor extension. That's why the receiver needs to be additionally tuned to the frequencies that we will use the most, which is 27.2 to 27.8 MHz. Let's say that I adjusted the sensitivity and selectivity of the receiver by at least 12-15%. The one who understands what I'm writing about, and if he knows how to do it, let him try. He won't regret it. By the way, I prefer an analog S-meter to a digital one.
wow, thank you so much for the info my friend. Both radios are great. And you are right, the LIncoln is tuned more for the 10 meter band. With some adjustments it will sound better on 11 meters. As you said the speaker is a bit smaller an sounds a bit tiny. The high Cut doesn't make any difference if you do not tune the radio. It makes sense now that you mention it. Thanks again for watching. Nice to have you hear. Nek, 9 Oscar Charlie 63.
Jackson And 50 wats vs. 40 water is pretty negligible. 10 wats of power ain't life changing. Quality TX & RX start with a quality, well matched antenna and better than average coax.if you were to compare a 50 wat to an 80 wat rig properly, set up the performance difference isn't that noticeable locally.

100% President Jackson
I vote for the Jackson
Jackson rules!
I like the jackson. Has a nicer sound for sure. At least for me.
Been nice if you compared to week stations other then back ground noise
Hi Doug, it would be nice yes. Next time..!!
cool...... do a vid on ,....... Lincoln vs Lincoln ! ! ! !
Don't look at the s-meter, just listen
who does your recaps and so forth .
A very good friend of mine. Where are you located?
That's been the issue with all the newer radios. Cheap hashy receiver. Jackson killed the Lincoln on that test.
