- In 1995, Jonah Lomu's place in the All Blacks Rugby World Cup squad was nowhere close to being assured. The 1995 North v South clash is the game where Jonah made the selectors sit up and take notice and lay the foundation for a Rugby World Cup campaign that would make him a global superstar.

the fact that we're still marveling at his power 25 years later speaks for itself.. what a legend.
I am a massive Irish rugby fan. My youngest son was named Jonah however, after this great All Black. A legend of a player who will never be forgotten. 🏉
Kia ora bro
Lovely how awesome ofa atu from NZ ❤
The way he passed up an opportunity to score a try so his teammate could score says a lot about his character. A beast of a rugby player but one of the kindest human beings. R.I.P. Jonah.
unstoppable, unforgotten. RIP
Rest easy big fella. We will always remember u. Such an inspiring talent to kids all around the world. Best of all time. RIP GOAT
Fantastic game, filled with AB legends! Lomu was a powerhouse!
Rugby's GOAT. Thanks for the great memories you left us with. #RIPJonah
RIP Son! What a beast of a man.
rest easy big man ❤️
What a talent he was. There'll never be anyone like him again.
Jonah's second try the souths fullback ended up tackling his own teammate haha
Hahahaha
Stensness had a pretty good game that day.
legend
What a legend man😓R.I.P.
Absolute legend.
That tackle as Lomu was about to score a second try is funny. The fullback goes in to tackle Lomu, but ends up grabbing the legs of his teammate and lifting him up. I bet he was thinking, “I got him, I’m lifting him,” then became disappointed as he realized he tackled his own teammate. That really didn’t help trying to stop Lomu.

The best rugby player🏈🏈
After each try and tackle just gets up and goes along his business!! Some guys today pump the chest and scream!!
Cant believe Carlos Spencer was in All blacks contention in 1995.
Wow, refs giving trys without the need of TV replays. Trusted themselves, trusted their knowledge of the game and rules. The good old days.
🙌🏿💙
Song?
Bless Lomu.. but try that today against a full Canterbury side! (Heehee ;))) )
Lessss gooo
Still think he would’ve been more devastating at No 8
more like if it wasn’t for Jonah, who knows what this game would’ve been or if we would have the Julian Savea’s, Hosea Gears or Caleb Clarkes of today #BigPowerfulYetAgileSpeedyClassyWingersOfRugby #CHANGEDthegameForever #Eleven

Bring Back Keith Quinn. Nisbo needs to retire, he’s lifeless and off the pace.
What a silly title.
na mccaw
mccaw was the greatest leader and exceptional player but you can't really compare anyone to Lomu, he changed the game literally....
@@beachdetector9997 yea ill admit hes changed the game..but there is one person to compare him to and that man would be Dan Carter...dont you agree
