    I got this a couple of weeks ago (as a Christmas present for myself) and I am a big fan of worker placement games. This is a tough game, so many choices but often you an't do what you want. It is the Agricola of railway games, for sure. Excellent game...my wife is a little intimidated by its weight but she liked it.

    This must be my all time favorite game!

    Ohhhhhhhh. Never understood this one. I thought it was a railroad game, but it is worker placement with multiple really fancy scoring tracks. I may have to go back to BGA and try it.

    Hi radho, just watched part 1-looks great! I think you forgot that the worker you placed on the turn order space can be re-used in any empty action space after everyone has passed, prior to scoring.

      I’m quite sure he couldn’t place the worker on the same turn space he’s currently occupying; in other words, there’s no turn order defensive maintaining move in the game

      @@Feldingor There isn't in a 4-player game, but in a 2-player game you are allowed to maintain your turn order by placing a worker. And the previous comment is correct: the worker can be re-used to an open action space after everyone has passed.

    This seems really fun!! Would work really well with Ticket to Ride as a theme game night.

    It's funny that in Russia we actually can't get all those board games. Sigh. It's either playing via Vassal or something like that, which isn't really board game after that, but it works, or buying a very expensive poorly translated version of SOME games that actually ARE available. Could probably try and get some of them via Internet, but then again, not a whole lot of people I know actually speak English well enough to play those... Anyway, thank you for partially satisfying my board games hunger :) I very much like the format of your show as well, though seeing your wife on camera would be better, but I understand that she's camera shy, so that's that.

      Good question. I think we'd be more likely to bring out RR most of the time, because it's half the length of RF... :)

    At 23:42, Jen should only score 2 points for her gray rail, because her train only has a reach of one, right? Please correct me, if I'm wrong. I just got the game because of your runthrough, thanks very much :)

    Rahdo when you talk about advancing the black rails approx 7:25 doesn't she need a train with a number of the amount of steps she wants to go? You can't advance if you haven't got a train at all?

    • @Feldingor
      @Feldingor 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can advance track whenever you want. The train just defines up to which space you score points at the end of each round.

    I've sort of stopped paying attention to basic worker placement mechanics. This looks like a super fun game, but I already have a couple super fun basic worker placement games. I think I stick with more interesting worker placement mechanics from now on.
    Though it does look like a good choice for someone who doesn't already have a more basic worker placement game. Or if you really like Trains! :P

    good tutorial, but voice sounds panicky and stressed. consider explaining rules with a slightly calmer voice (less yelling at the audience)
