this is a really cool breakdown of the process - i'm itching to get them on my own bugeye which looks pretty much like yours altho i'm on BC coilovers and 18s so its a bit lower :) STI wings and bumper would look so cool on it then i want to get flared rear arches too so the whole thing looks chubbier hehe
Unfortunately because I off-road the car a fair bit I can't be going low, so its just on standard height "heavy duty" springs and some 17s for the extra side wall. But loving the extra aggressiveness the front end has now!! Not sure what I want to do with the rear yet
@@sebsshenanigans Fenderist does a rear kit which looks ok.
Those headlights are awesome. I am planning on doing this to my bugeye too.

its mostly all holding up pretty well. definitely needs some kind of ceramic coating or protective film for it to hold up to the driving i do with this thing in the dirt though

Nah I sent that paint code to a paint shop and they mixed it up for me. From memory it was on the same plate the vin number is

@@sulfurrocksThe primer underneath also needs to be a “G6” primer grey, on top of which your WR Blue goes (02C paint code you’re correct), in order to agree to the factory final color.

yeah fenders and front bumper are sedan ones, all bolts straight on. the only thing left to to is get the sedan fender liner if you plan on putting that in

painting itself isnt the hard bit, its the prep work for it that you really have to take your time with. if prep work sucks then it does matter how good you are at painting, its going to look trash anyway

What size air compressor are you using brother?
ive got two set up together, one is a 40L 2hp, and the other i found on the side of the road and cant ready anything on the stickers aha. but its about 40L as well. either 2hp or 1.5hp. so combined has plenty of flow to keep it consistent
What sort of paint did you use? Where did you buy from? 1k yeah
yeah just 1k stuff, just a local body shop mixed up the colour for me and got the clear from supercheap auto
The color code is 02C “World Rally Blue”, and note that your primer/undercoat (per my understanding and from purchasing my own paint from an auto paint shop) has to be a “G6” primer on the grey scale. The shop should know what that means. If you go light or darker w the primer, your ending blue color will be off vs factory.

It's not a "kit". It's just the front end parts from a sedan. So you just have to go to a wrecking yard or online to see who's parting a sedan out

just a standard bugeye sedan, just jumped on market place and got a piece here and there from part out cars until i had the complete thing

@@GIXXRBRAH750 yeah, can be from either the sedan wrx or just the sedan impreza. theyre the same anyway from what ive noticed. if you can find a flood damage car or something where the front end isn't banged up. you could probably strike a package deal with them
