HI DJ, And you even had me photo bombing your video at timestamp 7:46. Didn't realize you and Roy were doing a video until it was too late 🤣 You are correct, Roy is a super nice guy and I've been a subscriber to Roy's channel for a number of years. It was a real privilege meeting him and his lovely wife at the show. I also met "That Train Couple" at the show, really nice couple and very fun to talk with them about our favorite subject, trains. I've never built any Mudd Creek Models kits, but the guy sharing the booth with them at the show, Motrak Models, I have built his Danielson Building kit. It's a super easy kit to assemble and very well detailed. Great video DJ, the show was very enjoyable and it was great catching up with you at the show. Cheers, Rich S.
It was great meeting you two at the show as well. I photobombed DJ and Roy's video at timestamp 7:46, plus I was with the Iron City N Scale group. Cheers, Rich S.
Great video. Thanks for sharing, and also great to see Roy there. You're right: he's a great guy who makes excellent videos. I can say that even though I've never met him!
Love the video! I was honored to be featured on this video at 5:52 . Thanks Dj for taking the time out of your day to meet with all of us. I also want to thank you for all that you do for the hobby too. Stay safe out there.
Just spoke with the hotel that's directly attached. They are apparently renovating and will be ready by our time next year! Hopefully it doesn't change the block rates too much.
Well at least some people got to meet you. Finally got home at 7:30am after 25 hours of being awake on 1 hour sleep and over 14 hours driving, 7 hours down and back. Got some good action at the curve and saw a couple modules when I was looking for you when I got to the center.
These guys are artists. I love the "tour of WV"... Thurmond, Cass... all were very realistic. And you're right... the Cumberland station is spot-on. Un-real.
Growing up in HockeyTowne, I miss my N Scale layouts. Recently, regretfully sold all of my massive N collection. Still running 100+ year old Lionel Trains, that I inherited from my Grandad, who was from Montreal. Great to see that you folks are keeping N scale alive. Cheers from SpoCanada.
Craftsman kits in N. Wow. Those buildings are beautiful. Hard to believe it took this long for someone to create detailed, accurate structures in N scale. Mudd Creek Models finally gives a little validity to the scale.
Great video and tutorial of your weekend at the N Scale Convention in Altoona! From what I could see looked like a great time! You met some amazing people as well! Those layout modules are so cool and very detailed! Was cool to see Spring Creek Model Trains on hand too. They are one of my favorite retailers that I buy from quite often. Thanks again DJ for sharing this video with us along with your PRICELESS time and effort my friend!
@@djstrains I'll be waiting for the notification so I can tune in! Btw, how do I find out the frequency channel that NS operates on when I get to WYOMISSING JUNCTION Thursday so I can listen in? TIA
Just subscribed. Small world situation, I posted a video from the weekend and my one friend from Michigan told me about your channel. I live about an hour from Altoona and my dad was a HUGE n scale collector Barry Wingard. Not sure if I ever met you before but I still like to attend the shows and walk around. My mom was set up over near the far wall. She is videobombing you at 9:34 lol Great channel!
Thoroughly enjoyed your video .I do model HO and are familar with Mudd Creek Models the NScale models shown are exquisite ! I may do one for my young neighbour's layout. Thanks DJ!
My goodness, I hate I couldn't make it to this show. You did a great job covering it, too, DJ .. though I know there could be hours trying to capture all this on vid. And whoever did the Cumberland module captured it very well in such a small space. I spent the first 21 years of my life there before moving to NC, and I still visit at least once a year. I can't wait to see Pt. 2. I love your channel, DJ .. keep 'em coming .. Thank you.
Hi DJ, I wish I could have come to this show this time, just being held at the wrong time of the year for me. I plan on going to Trainfest this year though.
Hi Bob, If you are ever able to make it to the Altoona N scale weekend, be sure to drag James along with you, I'd love to meet the both of you in person. Cheers, Rich S.
Excellent! A little bit of everything in N scale. You know the video was interesting and worthwhile when it's over so soon. Did Mrs D do the camera work? Cheers, Bob
You met Roy??! I was surprised to see him there. Seems like a really nice guy. Great footage of the show. I like your voiceover, makes it more interesting. I wanted to go, but I’m glad I didn’t. I don’t think I can handle one more hit with a cattle prod.
hey DJ check out reds iowa train videos he has a UP derail from a couple weeks back that took out what looks like a mile of rails and a bridge!! looked like 40 to 70 cars involved with 8 tank cars in the creek!!! that was a big ass mess!!
Nice video, DJ. And I am wondering why you don't have Closed Caption. Some words are hard for me to understand even though I wear headphones. I started in "N" scale back in the 70's and switched to "HO" when my eyes went bad. I still have some "N" scale cars and engines, and today they are far better quality than when I first started.
This is a comment I get every video for 12 years and I can not do anything about it. It is on TH-cams end. Not mine, I check the right box every video.

Likewise, and I still have enough footage for part 2.
Hey! That's us at 12:07 wow! It was such a pleasure meeting you! What a fun weekend!
You guys are awesome and I want the world to know
and OMG Radisson is my fellow The Bay Line fan!! I can't wait to see that!

It was! Part 2: th-cam.com/video/_qkDTw2VyEk/w-d-xo.html
Sweet layouts ! Very cool ! Thanks for another great vid !
Glad you like them! More soon!
Thanks DJ! It was a pleasure to see so many N-scale you-tubers in one place. There is so much good information out on you-tube and the internet.
This show was every bit as fantastic as DJ says! Start preparing to attend in '23!
Couldn't agree more!
Just spoke with the hotel that's directly attached. They are apparently renovating and will be ready by our time next year! Hopefully it doesn't change the block rates too much.
New subscriber. I use to model N Scale years ago. Great memories watching your video here.
Great overview of the weekend! It was wonderful to see you again DJ (and thanks for the little shout out for Iron City Modelers! :-D )
You bet!
Very cool report, nice to see these people!

@@djstrains and dangerous, thankfully despite a few close calls I only had one accident, hit a deer on 219 somewhere south of DuBois.
Great job DJ as always. Thanks for enlightening us once again especially with some new products. Otto
More to come!

Hi Mom! Here is part 2: th-cam.com/video/_qkDTw2VyEk/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for sharing this video and information. Appreciate you taking me there. As a TTrak N module owner / operator happy to see it represented.
A lot of great layouts DJ. I should try to get there on year being an avid n scaler. Thank you for sharing your time at the convention. Sean.
You should! I got great stuff for cheap!
Loved the video DJ, nice presentation of the show
👍😊😎
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing video, wish I had the opportunity to visit Altoona!
Maybe one day!
Awesome stuff DJ. I may have to start modeling, after being a collector for 30 years, with a basic 2 track layout.
A Beason. HAM!

I made 3 videos total of that weekend, there was so much to film!
AWESOME!!! Thank you for sharing.
I had no idea that Roy was so tall. It looks like a great show. I wish we had something like this on the west coast.
Great video....
Thanks!

I can't make it to Wisconsin this year. Maybe 2023

There is no Mrs. D. Sadly, we just didn't work out.
