This girl probably had all her fame and success handed over to her on a silver platter, whereas Madonna actually worked to get to where she is now. Even after all these years, Madonna is still the most successful female artist of all time.

On the othe hand, their desire to compare themselves or to emulate other artists (whose skill set is comletely outside of their own) may just be down to pressure. Pressure to perform and succeed. Or they truly do believe they are just amazing at everything they do. Perhaps they were always told they are perfect and brilliant in everything they have done, so cant see the difference between themselves and seriously gifted artists. Miley seeks to emulate Madonna because: 1. its easier than sitting down and trying to come up with something original 2. Madonna is obviously an icon, Miley thinks that by associating herself with her she can convince people she is an icon too 3. none of her fans would know how Madonna came to be so famous, so Miley will rip off anything and everything Madonna ever did, so long as it happened before 1995 at the latest (cant risk the kid remembering that someone else already did something the same) While Madonna pushed boundaries and broke down barriers for female entertainers, Miley is rehashing and not changing the game for anyone but herself. The only traits Miley and Madonna really share are an average voice, blue eyes and a crotch. You cannot obtain a 30+ year strong career by ripping off other long established artists. There is only so much room for such unoriginal, delusional, spineless, narcissistic brats like miley and co. I think they are all making it worse for each other. Soon there will be some other chick that will come along who can sing, dance and be original as hell and blow Miley and her phonybaloney cohorts out of the industry.
