Hey. Thanks for all the information given in the video and congratulations on completion of trek :) I'm planning for the trek in October this year...have gathered most necessary information. Just wanted to ask you if you felt any altitude sickness (besides mild headache maybe)...if yes, how did you combat it? And can we fix our own tent at places during the journey? (maybe till Lobuche, at least) Also, what do you think where you could have saved your money more? ;)
Thank you, I'm glad to hear this! 😊 No Mayur, I didn't get any altitude sickness. I'm quite well-versed with High altitude from long. Extensive physical preparation, precautionary measures for sickness, medical knowledge are what's important here. But if I would have been hit, then I would have followed this. 125/250mg of diamox in every 12 hours depending on severity, Stop Ascending until things get to normal, staying active, ample hydration and food, Garlic soup... And if things wouldn't get better, I will straight away descent back (safety first). Tents are not legally permitted on EBC trek.. but you can pitch by staying away from someone's eye or having some talk with some local close by. I don't think I could have saved anywhere more. hi very well presented. thanks a lot. i have done ABC and Annapurna circuit and hoping to do EBC in May this year. Will also start at Salleri but do the Gyoki side loop too hopefully. I will trek solo which is my preference. When i did Annapurna about 3 years ago i travelled < 8kg luggage. Did you bother with a sleeping bag? When i did Annapurna i didnt bother with sleeping bag and sometimes just ask for extra blanket which cost
All respect for taking the extra long route to EBC without flying to Lukla! How heavy was your backpack? For such a long journey it should have been as light as possible. If I ever do this trek I want my backpack to be around 5kg only. Just myself and the very bare essentials up there!

Yes, having less weight is very advantageous. Choosing light weight gears makes a lot difference, but don't compromise in warm layers though. Ncell works at certain places along the trek. But can be reliable for phone calls but not good internet.. instead, go with WiFi links available commonly at most tea houses.
Can you share details of the trek route you took and stops where you halted on the way to base camp ? Did going by sumo saved lots than going by plane to Lukla from Kathmandu? How much was the total cost for trek? And is there a chance to get lost on the way or route is marked properly from Lukla to Base Camp?

Train is the best way to reach Raxaul. If you don't get a direct one.. try to change from Patna/ Muzaffarpur.
Another option is by taking a flight till Patna/ Muzaffarpur, and reach Raxaul by train/ bus.
