Before he passed away unexpectedly, my dear friend and lead guitarist, J T Corenflos (A-list Nashvegas player), told me about the “session folks secret weapon”, the Noble green OD box. He had an original plastic box version. Unfortunately, we never got to jam again after that phone call, but leave it to Mr Keeley to up the ante! Another great pedal. Another great video, Andy. If you are unfamiliar with J T Corenflos, look him up. Outstanding licks - lots of Country legerdemain on albums/singles, but the man could (and I believe preferred to) Rock! You are in for a treat … 😎. 🎸👨🏼⚕️🎸
@@lukehearn1341 he always will be in my book… he was my lead player in my band in the mid-80s. Lovely man with 200 licks up his sleeve for every occasion. He and I wrote together some as well and when I became a staff writer, we published one of his songs that he had given to me for lyrics and melody. We reminisced about that (he brought it up) the last time we spoke … a few of weeks before he passed. God has a great player for the Band! I learned a lot from him and love him still. Ahh shit man, I just looked him up. Too young to pass, and that blue tele he had was a beauty. Glad you have his music to live on with. All the best, and keep rocking.
@@CBGypsy03 you should hear the sounds he could pull out of that Tele. He was so quiet unless he felt like talking - and that is said meaning he was so very humble, not at all conceited. Solid idea. I’ve never loved the OCD but could see how the ODR-1 would smooth it out a bit, while the OCD could help the ODR-1 cut the mix in the upper mids.
I’m overdriven out. BUT…this one stands out! As with an OCD, it’s extremely versatile. Never mind, Andy is so adept at performing all of its aspects with each guitar. I’m almost tempted to actually give one a try, and I haven’t bought a pedal in years.
Brian Wampler's take on the ODR-1, (The Belle,) quickly became my favorite overdrive. Now I'm interested in Nobels variations. I'm definitely curious about Robert Keeley's green drive mashup
Great sounding pedal. The ODR-1 was a circuit type missing from my overdrive color pallete (i have a TS, BD, BB, Klon clone, etc) ... Now I feel complete.... For about 2 weeks until I see another drive I want to try 😉
Never thought I would need a TS variant or a standard TS ( BD-2 guy here ) but I really liked the variations here. Btw Andy - That opening track was right out of the Big Star playbook 💪
I believe the reason why it sounded less driven when you switched it to the Nobel hard clipping when using the pedal boost was that the ‘hard’ clipping was not engaged on the Nobels side as you weren’t driving the diodes hard enough for them to reach the ‘hard’ clipping threshold.
Well, I don't know about the TS-side, but I do love Keeley's take on the Nobels ODR-1 in this pedal. Which I prefer over the original, so I might get this instead whence I want to buy my ODR-pedal.
wonderful pedal... but as usually I'm smitten by @Andydemos playing ... that said, could somebody please point me to the name of the first tune played? it is absolutely SICK
Great video. As soon as you changed from TS to ODR I instantly heard that Nashville sound. I guess that's why country slingers use the ODR. What's the brand of the yellow guitar? Looks very cool. Take care, Andy. Keep up the great work.
I'm curious how the ODR side sounds with a bass and also wondering if anything was done to address the ODR issue of bloated bass. I was about to pick up an ODR clone that has a bass control for taming the bass.
Huge miss. They easily could’ve put 2 switches on that like they did on their Halo and Hydra pedals. No motivation at all to replace my ODR or TS. Bummer 👎
I have to agree. Both OD types sound great, but if I can’t utilize both easily, it’s just another drive pedal I have to either tweak too much, or pick a sound and stick with it. If this had even a remote switch option it’d be a serious contender for replacing my Browne Protein - simply because I don’t always get along with the BB side and think the mid hump of a TS makes it a better companion/boost for the ODR.
No offence, I'm sure some people in their mid 50s who are only allowed to see their kids once a week like that style of guitar playing, but it puts me right off.
First off, in fact you do intend offense, otherwise why sh*t on middle-aged divorced men with visitation rights. Secondly, why share your preference in playing style? In fact, let's hear how you play. Post a link. I'll listen. And secondly.... Of a fence? What etymological roots are you referencing?
Keeley is a genius. This sounds incredible. Andy is the best.
Oh wowwwwww Andy the tone you got using the Noble as a clean boost is magic! Worth the pedal alone.

Very cool pedal! I've been stacking a Nobels ODR-1 into a Fulltone OCD. Really love the sounds I'm getting.
Solid idea. I’ve never loved the OCD but could see how the ODR-1 would smooth it out a bit, while the OCD could help the ODR-1 cut the mix in the upper mids.
Doesn’t that create an awful lot of bass?
This is the nobles variant I've been waiting for I think! 🎸 🔥

I felt the exact same way with ODs, but I pulled the trigger today on this. Seems legit :). You should go for it haha..
Peace
Robert Keeley is making magic!
The TS clipping with the NBs tone sounds a lot like the Phat Mod in the Phat setting to me. I like it.
That's what I thought too. It's crunchier than expected.
Well, I have been putting this video off for a day, you killed it Andy. And now I have a new pedal in the mail lol 😆
Very happy to help! Hope you enjoy it 👊💥

I’m a huge ODR fan, and a so so TS fan. It’ll will great having the TS option on my board.
Great sounding pedal. The ODR-1 was a circuit type missing from my overdrive color pallete (i have a TS, BD, BB, Klon clone, etc) ... Now I feel complete.... For about 2 weeks until I see another drive I want to try 😉
Great seeing a GCI in a demo, beautiful guitars
Best looking Keeley pedal...ever?
It definitely looks the most like it looks out of any keeley pedal.
Ever!
Thank You!

Thanks so much, it was a fun one!

Like the enclosure.
The Tele sounds sick!
Those Nobels circuits seem to really love Teles. It kinda is a country OD so it makes sense!
Rhett would love this pedal!
Well, I don't know about the TS-side, but I do love Keeley's take on the Nobels ODR-1 in this pedal. Which I prefer over the original, so I might get this instead whence I want to buy my ODR-pedal.
Sounds unreal with nobels clipping into screamer tone.
wonderful pedal... but as usually I'm smitten by @Andydemos playing ... that said, could somebody please point me to the name of the first tune played? it is absolutely SICK
That intro tune is a certified Andy original. (;
@@grundunterrecording4197 @johnlou I think that intro is some kind of variation of the classic tune, "Ain't Too Proud To Beg"
A lot of nice touches here. My ODR-1 is over-compressing my Boss ME-90, so may give this a try. Then let the ME-90 do my high gain Pink Floyd stuff.
Take that Brian Wampler and Josh Scott, this is a much more creative rethinking of classic pedals.
Great video. As soon as you changed from TS to ODR I instantly heard that Nashville sound. I guess that's why country slingers use the ODR. What's the brand of the yellow guitar? Looks very cool. Take care, Andy. Keep up the great work.
GCI Constructivist I believe
@@Bsoftproductions Thank you so very much. You were spot on. Have a great day.
Very very nice.
What is that yellow guitar? it looks so cool
Right?? Never seen anything like it. Would love to know
Ok.. I get it.. that’s cool.
Lol! That's how you do it! Mix both green overdrives into 1! 🤣👌
I just came back to say this: Imagine Robert Keeley releasing a Katana Noble Screamer 😮
I'm curious how the ODR side sounds with a bass and also wondering if anything was done to address the ODR issue of bloated bass. I was about to pick up an ODR clone that has a bass control for taming the bass.
Hey Andy, may I know what's that Yellow guitar brand?
Hey, that's a GCI Constructivist! I've got a few God City Instruments here at the studio to borrow for a bit, fun stuff!
Hi Andy!
Awesome, there won't be a giveaway innit?

Out of curiosity, does a pedal builder like Keeley reach out to you when they are going to make a version of your pedal?
No@@lex3191
Andy, what make and model is that T style guitar? It looks and sounds great!
Looks like a Seüf OH20
Buy a Nobels ODR-1 30th Anniversary pedal.....the real deal!
Weirdly I heard some Radiohead in that song... reminded me of Subterranean Homesick Alien.. I have way too much time on my hands...
Shit, I’m going to buy another OD pedal lol
Lmao !! 🤣 happen to me too. Comes tomorrow
I like the new pedals coming out but I really dislike the fact that there is only one power source not a traditional 9v battery option. Truly annoying
Just use a pick dude.
Huge miss. They easily could’ve put 2 switches on that like they did on their Halo and Hydra pedals. No motivation at all to replace my ODR or TS. Bummer 👎

4 in 1 is a lie. It's 2 in 1 with mix and match capabilities.
4 total circuit variations.
