    Musical, sensitive, lyrical and humble although rooted in the present ! The tempo lets the audience enjoy every detail, every motif, every sound. Is this the end of the reign of racing speed and athletic piano ? All the poetry and beauty of Chopin takes on its meaning here.

    This young Spanish maestro draws you into his musical universe to experience these beautiful sounds for the very first time. It seems that Chopin wrote the 3rd movement with a deliberate Hispanic feel (with col legno violins imitating castanets) brought to life here with fiery authenticity by the one and only MGG. I don’t care who wins. Like other reality talent shows, many fine musicians have already been kicked to the curb.

    • @fernandograu6677
      @fernandograu6677 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I also heard the castañuelas sounding violins on the 3rd movement!! and if it was indeed intentional from Chopin, then this is the first time I realize this, after having listened to this concert hundreds of times before... "MGG" really added life to this concerto isn't it?

      @@margaretlavender9647 I'm surprised to see your comment and three people agreeing. I think the times of playing like Rubinstein have passed. I believe newer generations appreciate this type of surrender to the music (like the comments show) rather than the stoic, almost statue-like, interpretations of the past. In any case, asking for "all" the interpreters to "stop" doing it, is a little over the top, don't you think?

    @DrMephistopheles 2 ปีที่แล้ว +321

    Mr. Garcia Garcia is a completely different category of musician, as ironic as this sounds music was flowing from his magical fingers through and through. The second movement was breathtakingly sublime. The different colours he brings out, the dynamics and most importantly the innate musicality of his playing is what makes this young gentleman a distinct artist, and a much needed fresh interpreter of Chopin.

    ガルシアさんのこの演奏はライブでは明け方に、うとうとしながら聴けば良いかな、と思っていたのにセンセーショナルでびっくりして目が醒めました。まずはじっと聴く。そして2回目に聴いた時は若々しいショパンの伝えたい事を代弁してるように思え。この曲は洗練はされていなくても田舎臭くても必死で伝えたい何か。それをガルシアさんが再現してくれた気がして。初恋?故郷?何かは重要ではなくて。それぞれに読み取れる何かを感じ、ずっと感動していました。

    This is expression from the soul....it can’t be taught. You’re born with it....and no amount of training can teach this...even to the most technically brilliant pianists. Garcia is truly gifted.

    Years later at the next Chopin competition, we will look at this performance as a prime exemple as to why the second piano concerto is also pefectly viable for the final round of the competition. I find it a shame that almost everyone plays the first concerto in the final round.

    Wunderschöne und lyrische Aufführung dieses romantischen und perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit klarem doch elegantem Klang des genialen Soloklaviers sowie gut harmonisierten und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen der anderen Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und fast himmlisch. Der intelligente und erfahrene Dirigent leitet das ausgezeichnete Orchester im gut betrachteten Tempo und mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Echt faszinierend!

      Wykonanie Zimermana jest wg mnie / dla mnie za bardzo niestabilne,nie ma tam równowagi, zwłaszcza w pierwszej części.
      Za dużo zmian w dynamice ,która naprawdę jest niespójna z tym co napisał Chopin.Eiem ,co mówię bo mam nuty tego koncertu.
      Zamiast uspokajać, drażni.
      Kunszt i doskonala technika to nie wszystko.
      Trzeba to czuć.
      Martin Garcia to czuje,oddal pełnię tego utworu, opowiedział go.
      Wszystko perfekcyjnie spójne i nienachalne.

    Ten wykonawca wchodzi świetnie w interakcję- "czuje otoczenie" - w sytuacjach relacji grupowych widziałem to w rozmowie z finalistami na nocnym nagraniu z oczekiwania na wyniki a tu faktycznie chyba na mojego nieprofesjonalnego czuja najlepiej współpracował z orkiestrą i fortepianu jest tyle ile trzeba i tam gdzie trzeba i wtedy kiedy trzeba. Miło, że skończył konkurs z nagrodą za Koncert.
