    Syntakt is my favorite of the Elektron boxes right now. I knew I loved it from release and had to have one. It’s top three in my studio collection, right now. So happy with it, even after the honeymoon period

    Stewart Copeland (The Police's drummer) talked a lot about leaving the downbeat silent as in Reggae and Middle Eastern music. Very powerful! Check his interview on Drumeo!

    Thank you for this!! The little square on the waveform means the oscillator is reset when triggered

    I sold the rytm and model cycles to buy this one.. allowed me to reduce the setup without loosing what i loved in the 2 previous ones.. on the rytm i wasn't using the indiv. outs, pads,samples and perf mode that much..so in the end it was a good decision and i still have some cash to put elsewhere :)

    • @OoraMusic
      @OoraMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I completely understand you. I would keep the synntakt over the Rytm and cycles too.

      I wouldn't trade rytm for anything.

    • @marcosrotllan
      @marcosrotllan ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@earlsfield me too, if a had one i would keep it. Only if it had faders would be the perfect drummachine

    • @earlsfield
      @earlsfield ปีที่แล้ว

      @@marcosrotllan True I am not crazy about pads. Still, its a monster. I have AR, Tempest and Machinedrum and i could really use faders rather than pads on Ar - Tempest is more of a 6 voice synth so...

    Haha your use of the vermona performer in past videos and my lack of vermona performer made me do the same thing in the past few weeks! I use the analog rytm. Voices 1-3 (kick, snare, rim) all to the 2 vco mode. Then use 3 of the Tom tracks (with the pitch bend amount and time turned all the way down) to turn the analog rytm into a 6 voice vermona performer with p locking. Highly recommend anyone try out what oora is showing, can attest, it’s very fun. And to clarify, only using three voices from each section because of the choking built in.
    One thing I feel like I can add for analog rytm users; If you’re worried about the lack of analog voices, and still need drums, use resampling. The effect section becomes a whole new thing when used for sound design on a single voice. Try it out. Save your favorite analog sounds with compression, distortion, and reverb. That’s how you do gated snares too btw.

    Great video! I've revisited it a dozen times and finally gotten around to picking up a Syntakt. Would love to see more Syntakt content from you! Did you ever end up making the soundpack?

    I do have to say that the LFO tip is very true. I have a Model:Samples and the LFO feature helps me get more out of the machine.

    Had the syntakt for 2 weeks, Exchanged it in my setup for sh4d. And im totally blown away over this little maschines capabilities. And it sounds phenomenal! I love it to bits! If theres one thing i dont like that much , its the reverb. But if you have a Chase Bliss CXM1978... then who cares right :P .Its insane and worth every penny!

    So great man. Are these little pops & clicks sometimes only because the attack? I have the Octatrack & the polyend play and think about the synthtakt. What a wonderful maschine. Especially with the new update. Cheers from Eberswalde! 😉👊🏼

    • @OoraMusic
      @OoraMusic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      most of the pops and clicks are stuff I want.but in sample based stuff like octa the attack is what you want to work with to smooth them out!

    I've really enjoyed your Syntakt videos... really been carefully considering getting one and this video here has convinced me. I'm going to sell my Roland TR8s and get this... actually the Syntakt seems to be exactly what I had hoped the TR8s would be. The TR8s is an amazing drum machine, but somehow it just wasn't quite ticking all my boxes.

    • @OoraMusic

    • @OoraMusic
      @OoraMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      if you work with samples then Digitakt is great next to digitize. If you don't use samples I think Syntakt is amazing.
