Wolfenstein was one of the first FPS games. Wolfenstein 3-D in 1992. The first Wolfenstein game came out in 1981 called Castle Wolfenstein. This game has been the grandfather of FPS games since 1992. Doom 1 innovated from Wolfenstein 3d and the reboot of Wolfenstein that you are playing led to Doom 2016's success then Wolfenstein 2 led to Doom Eternal. The two games have been tied together since 1993 when Doom released. I don't blame you for saving Fergus. I think most do because he is an experienced person in the war and the experienced guys are the ones you want fighting along your side. There are different stories depending on who you choose in this moment. Oh and Blazco is not only a member of the Army he is also an agent for the OSA along with Fergus. The OSA is the Wolfenstein universe's OSS. So thats why he is trained in interrogation tactics. You can see one of his under cover missions in Wolfenstein Old Blood. Fun fact Blazco knows a little Polish because his mother was a Polish immigrant and his father's parents were also Polish immigrants. His mother was Jewish. Its meant as irony since Blazco would be the ideal human in this society. It shows the hypocrisy of the Germans. Oh and one thing I noticed. Blazco makes references to seeing some people before. That is a callback to Wolfenstein 2009. Some of that game is cannon to this one but its not at all necessary to understand the games from my understanding. That game kinda connects the Doom and Wolfenstein universe as well which to my knowledge is cannon. So Doom and Wolfenstein take place in the same universe.
I'd be on the lookout for any and all loot if i were u dude. When u see the romana diaries pop up on ur screen, give em a listen. That's still a ways off yet tho.
