I absolutely agree about the hard work it takes to dig and flip heaps of clothing for hours. I really feel it in my arms the next day. I mostly hang clothing for photos unless it shows better on a mannequin then I run over to my daughters to use hers, luckily she only lives a mile away. Reselling is a family affair with both of my adult daughters doing it part time.
I have been meaning to leave you a comment for a while because I really enjoy your videos and you crack me up. Everytime I go to the bins I say "It's a bins day"!! 😂😂I usually view them on my TV, but today I am on my phone at my son's tournament😂 You have helped me so much in my reselling adventures. Please know that you are appreciated. HUGS from TX!❤
HI Mindy, THANK YOU so much for this comment. It really means a lot to me. Thank you for your support and I am so happy the videos help you in some way. xooxox Q
@@TheGratefulQueen I absolutely do! I think it’s upstairs in the foot locker. My mom took one foot locker for each kid and used it to save all our photos, artwork etc. I have all my school pictures in it
Yes me too. Sometimes mannequin. Sometimes hanger, just depends on the item. I do group like items together for better work flow. For example I do all my pants at once so I'm not switching up my station for each item. Great to see you Gina. Xo ❤️
Just love your videos. You have such a great layout to the info. It keeps my attention! Great information. I actually do appreciate that you show you purchase some good finds for the family as well. Of course I love water cooler time!
I do hanger on the wall, small light box for flat lays and shoes/bags and mannequin. I also got a male and female half mannequin that hang, but I don’t love how they angle out on the wall, so might need to try a different kind. Wall hanging is definitely the fastest, but you’re so right about certain items look waaay better with some shape. Plus size pants are the hardest for me to photograph. Would you ever do a what sold/ship with me video? Would be fun to watch! Thanks for your videos 🩷🙏🏻
Yes it's good to have options for photographing your items. I do a little of everything. I did what sold videos in the past but they were not too popular. Now I throw what solds into the videos here and there. Thank you! ❤️
Yay!! Another video!! I'm actually doing my other side hustle (aside from thrifting) making goat milk soap and body butters! I can watch while I create! ☺️ thanks!!!
I just love your videos! I love your upbeat tone, always smiling, always informative. You have an excellent broadcast voice and your conversational tone is so easy to listen to. Thank you for teaching me so much!!
Have been watching you since I restarted selling online (after taking 20 years off...LOL). I learn so much from you as to what buyers are looking for now. I am glad that I saved my half mannequins (different colors) from the 2000's, they are easier to dress than a full mannequin and I just hang them up against my white wall. But I also use a hanger on my white wall for many items as well, seems like T shirts just look better on a hanger. Thank you for having these videos for us to watch!
So wonderful to come home and watch the grateful queen. I just got back from seeing my2 new great granddaughters which was a joy. I needed to rest my hip after stepping in a hole and hurting it. Now what is a better way to rest your old hip. Watching Quinby is where it's at. 😊
I just bought a hanging half mannequin. There are things I was avoiding listing because they looked crappy on a hanger but look great on the hanging mannequin. I'm always changing it up... or even mix it in one listing.
My son is the same way about pants.. he likes a few but they are all very similar to those, and he has hit his growth spurt. I started hitting all the goodwills bc our kids pants are 1.99, and this is actually what got me going back to the bins, regularly, recently, as he is about to get into men's size, so I plan to be digging for his pants alongside clothes to sell, and as he grows out of all of these, I will turn around and sell them in a lot for someone who's kid has the same preference. Save them a lot of time! Lol ... I will have a bunch ranging from size 10-16 kids pretty soon that don't fit him. It's crazy how fast they grow at that age.
Yes, I totally agree! I make boxes on Poshmark by size and sell them for $25. It saves the parents money and passes the clothes along. Parents are paying $25 for one pair of pants at Target!
So great to see you in the comments Lindsey. Oh I did not know that brands was carried at Revolve. I am going to add that to my titles. Thank you! xo Q
Love your videos, you’re so fun and have such helpful tips! I recently learned that the brand Ariat is pronounced more like “air-ee-it”, as in the last part of the name of Secretariat, the legendary winning race horse. 😀
Evy’s Tree is a brand started by a mom in Santa Rosa. She started embellishing hoodies and selling them so she could stay home with her babies. Grew it to a multi million dollar company. Unfortunately she went under 2 years ago because of the pandemic and the shipping crazy prices that followed the next year. Unfortunately resell is not that high. But the “ Sophie” and “ Nicole” were her most poplar pieces.
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I love learning. This was a cute hoodie, but the comps were all over the place so I didn't want to risk it. I will keep my eyes out for the sophie or nicole though. Thanks! xo Q
Water cooler talk. It’s been slow for me this month on PM and much busier on eBay. Weird how things ebb and flow. My biggest challenge is fitting in listing in my regular day job schedule along with family, grandkids, volunteer work…when I list, I sell. Hoping to retire from my day job soon to be a full time reseller. I’m loving the pink shipping bags you included in my order! TY again❤ Loved the patchwork robe find! Peri 😊
I really believe the fact you steam the items and don’t sell them all with wrinkles, makes your things sell. I am always sad to get an item and have to spend tons if time with my portable steamer
Love a bins day!!!🎉 I would also love a watered down step by step of how to check comps and sell thru rate on eBay and Poshmark… Like if you were teaching kindergartners ❤
Yes, I hear you. I am still trying to figure out what looks best too. I change it up occasionally. I have that faux wood background paper too and I use it for my measurement photos. xoQ
My bins are deep small blue barrels. So hard to reach the bottom but it’s where the good stuff is. And they are massively full so people take handfuls and toss them across. It’s crazy lol
OH really?! I have never seen barrels. I can't even picture what that looks like. I have only seen the bins like in my video. Every bins is so different. Wish I could go them all! xo Q
@@TheGratefulQueen I wish I could share a photo and I would. The ones I go to are in Boston. Not sure if you have been to them or not. Next time you come this way, let’s go! Lol. I want to try the hartford ones to see how they are. The crazy thing is the t shirt bros are strong and dig deep and then throw their pile on the middle of the grouping and the free people just falls out into your arms lol.
Yes! mine here in Virginia are so stuffed full!! It takes so long to get to the bottom! I think maybe because ours only changes out every couple of hours!
That is so funny that for me it was such a full bins, but for you it would have been nothing. Every bins is different. It is hard to sift through everything.xo Q
