Beautiful video. Been playing Mad God's Overhaul for a few months now and it's amazing! Every cave, ruin, store, house I go into has me just wanting to look around and interact with things. It's pure magic. This video caught a lot of that really well.
Thank you very much!!! I had over 200GB of gameplay recorded...it was incredibly challenging to choose which scenes to put in the video because it really is breathtaking! I want to do a streaming series where I play and show to people how this modlist looks like in real gameplay.
Make sure to get mad gods overhaul 2.5 which just dropped yesterday if planning on starting a new game. 2.0 was great but there were a couple of mods that weren't jelling properly which you don't find out about until you're many many hours in when suddenly every door becomes a CTD. And nothing will fix it. I've gone through all the mods in the new list with a fine tooth comb this time and seems to be fixed. A lot of locations and character models are a little switched up from 2.0, which has its own pros and cons, but still looks and plays beautifully. @VRDaD
@@shanustheanus Grabbed it and am testing it. I still have a play through with over 200 hours invested on 2.0, so now I'm balancing both. The new 2.5 is nothing short of stunning!!!
Mate that modlist looks awesome. just finished my light 200 modlist. If you want a smooth experience with no stutter i suggest changing ASW to forced 45, makes the game run like a console. Minus a bit of artifacting on followers when they run past you, i cant tell the difference. Still feels like 90 fps in a headset. I have SMP clothing and hair on 2 of my followers Dyndolod mixed with 4 k textures, running around everywhere last night tryiin to stress my PC out and not one single judder looking and fighting anywhere. ASW is a godsend for those with older GPU's like mine. SMP in VR is totally possible with ASW 45 on even on a 1080ti. Was able to increase the graphics settings to full and turn up the res scale a bit more because of the headroom it gave my rig. Games waaay more immersive stutter free with Flowing clothes rather than guhguhguhguh stutter every 10 secs movin around. If you're like me and just cant play without SMP this is the best option. SMP aint stressing my rig out no more 😎🤙Also switch to open composite, dont run Skyrim VR through steam. The performance difference is night and day.
@@dazta6738 thanks mate. I did solve the majority of stuttering. It was the dyndolod causing problems. I’ve got a performance guide on how to maximise eye Candy and have a playable frame rates. I've downloaded this and its up and running How do I max out the graphics now, i cant see to get to the DLSS menu that i've heard you talk about. Only graphics, low medium and High in the actual game then changing resolution on steam VR. I've got a 4090 and its running buttery smooth on high and 500% resolution but i still feel its a bit blurry. Im using virtual desktop plugged in on a quest3 so maybe its the vr hardware but sure i sheard you say put quality on DLSS on i just cant find where in the options to! Thank you

Then under performance in mod organizer i have community shaders, DYNDOLOD on quality, grass density high, upscaler DLAA and then the VR FPS Stabilizer on performance. Any suggestions? Thanks!
@@davescobedo I can do a tutorial to help more people, but to help you out, you simply need to download the new modlist, launch the wabbajack, select the new modlist, and make sure to check the box “overwrite installation” then press the green play button. That’s it. If I can do it, you can do it!
@@VRDaD Thanks for the info! I’m about 100 hours deep into Skyrim with MGO 2.0 so I was pretty nervous about messing up what I have and having to start all over. I’m super excited to upgrade to 2.5. Thanks again!
@@davescobedo when there are so many dramatic changes, I think you have no choice but to start over again. I was level 23…when the update dropped. I had done quite a lot of quests…this is probably the last time I update before finishing the game. I will updated afterwards. So if you really care about your save file…then you should not update!!!!
I used a similar modlist in the past but couldn't complete the intro without removing the mod, and completing the beginning part. Do you know if this suffers from the same issue? I am looking to start a new character on my new PC build.
This list has a mod called alternate start that basically makes you bypass the bugged intro. You can then follow the main storyline going to Helgen, finding a burned body which has a letter on it…
What is your computer spec ? I'm using Fus with a rtx 2080 ti super and want to upgrade it so I can go with MGO. Already got 32 GO Ram and a 3700 Ryzen. Do you think rtx 4060 would be sufficient to achieve good results ? Also using a PSVR2. Thank you :)
I have 4070 laptop which is equal to 4060 and i cant run this modlist. fps is 30-40 and after 15min or so it drops to 10. Mb 8gb vram is not enough for this pack? May easily be a problem on my side and not gpu limitation though
@@jean-francoisrioux847 I have a 4090 and 5800x. The 2080ti is a bit weak for this modlist. You need also 350 GB of free space in your SsD and make sure you increase your virtual memory to more than 32 GB.
@@jean-francoisrioux847 you’re welcome. 4060 might run the game fine but don’t expect very high framerate. You can try to smoothen your experience with VD using SSW.

@@Giddyup11 I am going to try the community shaders instead of ENB this time and see what changes. At the moment there is an issue with the installation. A mod isn’t working correctly. They are already aware of the issue and they will fix it soon.

@@grzesiek9229 have you followed the stability article on nexus? Because if you don’t, you will have crashes. Make sure you have installed the .net framework (x64 and x86) and that you have increased your virtual memory to at least 32GB.
I just started playing. I built a pc just to play this. Finally got it working. Played for about a half hour and then it got real laggy and froze. I rebooted everything and now when i get tothe main menu and choose continue from last save it kicks me back to steam home. Can anybody help me.. i really want to experience skyrim.
Either driver issue ,or game issue ,best bet is reinstall the game with modlist and delete everything beforehand, then reinstall the newest drivers and also maybe dont or do overclock your cpu and gpu depending if you are already overlocked or not
I’m at a 4090 and it’s stunning. If you’re going to download this you’ll see on mod organizer different VR performance options. It took me a few click of the different quality vs performance options but when I finally got it right it’s been pure bliss.

Nonsense. HMD-displays are uncalibrated* (price-reason), and guess what happens if you watch sRGB content (Skyrim) without conversion on an uncalibrated OLED which has a wider gamut color space? Yup, rainbow puke. At least an uncalibrated LCD-display doesn't exceed sRGB. (*but at least matched for left-right-consistency) My calibrated UW work monitor displays this video as vivid, but not oversaturated. You should worry more about the uncoordinated effects and colors, and some of the weird art direction. :)
First time I downloaded this mod list it was 1,165 mods, came back today to try again because it didn't work the first time and it was 570 mods, tried it again it was 150, try it again it was 1,053😂 Cmon man. What is the actual number of mods this is supposed to be because it changes every time you try to download it
@@therealbagface9388 lol 😂 that’s why I kept it generic enough with “over 1000”. In fairness, the first version you tried was probably the direct successor of the minimalistic overhaul, which actually had 480 mods. Then obviously things evolved. The guy stripped all the broken stuff and replaced them with better stuff. The next version might have more or less mods. I am aware that they will remove sexlab and replace it with Ostim. That isn’t a 1:1 replacement though. There might be more mods relevant to sexlab rather than ostim and the total number of mods may actually decrease. So…the answer is: nobody knows 😂
@VRDaD Pulled 3 different modlists in the course of 10 minutes? Cmon man. The version I got works fine but I've never played Skyrim, so I dontvreally know what I'm getting. I will say this much it's way too much information for a game with a VR headset on I feel like I need to take notes I keep forgetting or not knowing where the hell I'm supposed to go or what I'm supposed to do
@@therealbagface9388 I am in a similar situation. I played Skyrim only in VR for the first time with the minimalistic overhaul. I loved it but I never finished it. Minimalistic overhaul had a different hud system where you could pull out the compass looking down if I remember correctly. Here there is no compass…but, to be honest I don’t feel I need one! And it’s much more immersive going around exploring. But I get the frustration if you just want to follow the quest line.

@@OGYZuko I tried it. It’s very good for lower end systems because it’s much lighter. If you want the maximum eye Candy, MGO is the way to go
FUS is very good to use as a baseline modpack to tweak and use for a much larger custom modlist

it depends on the wheather preset. I like vivid colours, but you can reduce the amount of saturation, yes.
